  1. I like what I've heard and seen about McDermott. Seems like a real up and coming head coach star in this league. I have such a better feeling about this than I had when Rex had his presser.

I just hope the fans and Pegula's are patient and give him the full 4-5 years or whatever it is. This first go-around on Coordinators may not be exactly the perfect fit. We'll see but I want McDermott to establish his culture which is obviously much more professional than Rexys. If he has to change coordinators at some point than so be it.

  2.

    And we agree again!

Moreover, like many skills, public speaking (and spoken communication in general) are skills that can be taught and improved with practice - provided one desires to improve and is motivated to put in the time.

The sense I get from Terry Pegula is that where public speaking is concerned, he lacks both desire to do it and motivation to improve at it. He sees it as something he'd like to hire people to do for him.

Terry is probably like a lot of us. Lousy public speaker..gets nervous, doesn't think quick on his feet...he prefers to speak in a small room with people who he's comfortable with or one on one. The guy is a billionaire. At this point in his life I wouldn't be taking Toastmaster classes either. He is what he is.

  3. On GR, McDermott said one of the first things he is going to do, starting today, is to reach out to all of the players and call them individually. In the press conference he said he spoke to Tyrod on the phone yesterday. There is virtually no chance that Tyrod called him, versus him calling Tyrod. That, to me, is a very clear indication he is very open to having TT back.

I agree. McDermott knows more than anyone how challenging it is to stop a guy like Tyrod from moving the pocket, extending plays...hitting dimes downfield, etc.. There are several teams that would make Tyrod their #1 free agent signee if he becomes available. The Bills and McDermott cannot be dumb enough to let Tyrod walk out of the building without a significant upgrade in-house come early March. I don't give a crap what Jim Kelly says.

  4. I'm not inspired at all by the retreads. There are some very bright young minds out there. No one knew who Sean McVay was when he was promoted from a tight ends coach to OC for Washington. I would not mind at all if McDermott tapped someone who we have not heard of yet.

  5. This OC thing has me worried. Already the No. 1 rushing attack has taken a hit with the loss of A. Lynn calling the shots. If Tyrod goes, then I may not even renew my season tix. I hope they can find a bright innovative guy... but I feel like I need to start getting used to 17 points per game average

  6. You had the feeling that McDermott was going to be head coach for someone in 2017.

You had the feeling Anthony Lynn will not be head coach for any team in 2017 unless it was Buffalo.

I don't hate this hire. Seems like Buffalo went out and convinced a fairly hot commodity to sign up here. The easy thing to do would have been to hire Lynn and maintain that continuity. We all would have said.."they couldn't do better"?

  7.

Elway has taken his team to the playoffs almost every year. Won the division title a bunch of times, won 2 AFC championships and 1 SuperBowl with a less than steller QB and drafted/traded for 30 total ProBowlers during his tenure as GM. He is also a hall of fame QB. He has been trying to bring in Tyrod since 2015, last year and now this off-season again. Are you really insinuating you know more than John Elway about evaluating QB talent?

Ha. Very true. I would trust Elway's judgement over anyone on this board.. Tyrod would be a plug n play QB for them. Instant playoffs withTT that D and home field advantage.
