Agree with this. You're throwing out some nice stats today. -
Schefter says decision is made - Tyrod is gone

This whole thread is just making me root for the Anthony Lynn/Gus Bradley ticket even more. Get them to sign on the dotted line ASAP. If not them the only other coach ticket I'd be excited about would include Kyle Shanahan....and he ain't coming here. -

I read a lot of out of town NFL chatter along with national talk. It's obvious that Tyrod is viewed in higher regard in other NFL cities...not Tom Brady/Aaron Rodgers comparisons...but Top-15 type QB. I know that's hard to believe for some Bills fans. Bottom line, if TT is not starting in Buffalo, he will be starting for another team come September 2017. -

People's frustrations over the 17 year drought are affecting their sensibilities. Even Jimbo Kelly's. Dumping Tyrod is a big mistake imo unless they have a young and better QB coming in that we don't know about. I'm not interested in a loser like Cutler or Tony "one hit from retirement" Romo. I'm not willing to hit the reset button. I know the Pegulas specialize in tearing it down but I haven't seen them rebuild a team yet. The 2016 Bills are not a bad team. Keep the offense intact, get another stud WR if you can and fix the D. -

But, But...Jim Kelly says Tyrod is not the guy. Doesn't Jim know everything?? -

Funny, the talk in DC this morning is if the Skins are stupid enough to get rid of Cousins, they should run out immediately and Get Tyrod. -

Agreed. Instead of losing games like 33-25 along with winning a few in the 30's...... we can get used to losing 31-13. -
Things That Will Make Some Sick, But Will Happen
zow2 replied to H2o's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
If #2 happens I will be pissed but will still be a loyal season ticket holder. If #2 and #4 both happen, I will be very put off and will no longer be a season ticket holder. I can't stand Cutler. Don't want him anywhere near this organization. -
Jim Kelly on espn about our situation 1/4
zow2 replied to The Tomcat's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I disagree. He's been politically correct about the active QB's (not really praising). but this is the first time I can recall him dissing a Bills QB that's on the active roster, starting. I wonder if there's anything personal, like Tyrod not giving Jimbo the time of day. -
But he was out-coached by Todd Bowles! Just kidding..I said going in that AL could not be judged in that game simply because EJ was anointed the starter. Still, it was concerning that the guys didn't really show up...McCoy and Watkins both got injured under his watch. I was looking for some sign that AL would lead us to the promised land someday, then Gillislee topped off a bad day all around with the most brain-dead play I've ever witnessed from an NFL player.

I doubt it. Too big a personality and Rex indicated in the past he wasn't interested in going back to being a coordinator. We shall see but i doubt it. Gruden would be better served to hire a D-coach with a system that doesn't get run all over by the likes of Jay Ajayi and Leveon Bell in critical games.
-
They really don't. I think the Ravens hired John Harbaugh directly from a Special Teams position. It's a crap shoot....and whatever coordinators they get matters a lot. The GM is responsible for getting good players. The coach had better be prepared, detail oriented, good motivator, has respect from players and league circles. Sometimes a "players" coach works well...sometimes a disciplinarian works well. Maybe Anthony Lynn is better suited for this club than Frank Reich. I have no idea. Just hope Whaley and Pegs get it right.

Miami had more luck when they became the opponent for Goff's first start. The Rams had absolutely zero offense that day, so you have to believe Keenum would have done enough. That's the game Miami trailed 10-0 until about 3 mins to go. The Rams D gave their O plenty of opportunity to grab a big lead but Goff could do nothing.

Geez, how did the Boca/Yacht/red wine...interviews work out last time around? Stay home and do a proper job at this interviewing thing.
-
Yep, but last year the Bills did overcome that a little bit by going 4-2 in division (which they never do!). When a club goes 4-2 in division they should definitely make the playoffs,,,like Miami did this year. Shame we wasted that great in-division record last season.

Jim Kelly on espn about our situation 1/4
zow2 replied to The Tomcat's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'm thinking Kelly is the same as a lot of Bills nation. Completely frustrated with 17 years of no-playoffs. Therefore, people are so fed up they just find a weakness at whatever QB is playing for Buffalo and say "this isn't the guy....Boom,,on to the next". The patience is gone, we need instant franchise QB or bust. I've been the same way with alot of our QB's including the seasons we started EJ, Trent, JP, etc... I feel differently with the Tyrod situation. I think it would be a huge mistake to dump him. And the shame is he probably wants to leave Buffalo considering his treatment by Whaley (not really talking to him about week 17)...the media, some fans and now Kelly. Don't you think a playoff team like Houston would kill to have Tyrod Taylor starting their playoff game this weekend...over Osweiler, Savage or Weeden? I think so. -

I didn't like what Jim said about Tyrod. No need to be negative about the guy in public especially if he is the "unofficial" voice of the fans. He wasn't asked to throw 45 times a game...and there's no telling if he could (or will) get better?!? Usually, QB's get better through their 20's and TT is not an old guy by any means. He is certainly better than anyone else on the Bills roster at QB so why would Jim basically say they should dump Tyrod and move on? They can still re-sign him while drafting/developing a future QB. We need to win now, not 5 years from now. Again, fix the D. -
To me the Chiefs are good because Andy Reed has them playing disciplined football. They don't kill themselves with penalties and he has the respect of the refs so they don't go overboard and flag the Chiefs for ticky tack stuff. They also play every game with urgency. I never see KC take too many possessions "off" and even when they fail on offense their D bails them out and vice versa.

Geez, if Jim has that feeling about Tyrod I wonder what he ever thought about EJ. -

Don't understand all the fuss about Whaley and Pegs
zow2 replied to Dragonborn10's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
That would be a good idea but the man is 65. Let's face it, people don't change at that age. They are what they are. Terry is doing best by issuing public statements in writing. Unless he is announcing a new building project or buying a team, he's better served by not standing in public having to answer difficult questions off the cuff. And I respect him for understanding this because he is an awful public speaker. -
Don't understand all the fuss about Whaley and Pegs
zow2 replied to Dragonborn10's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
All the "dysfunction" noise means nothing to me. The Buffalo media has an unusual amount of reporters whose job is to give their opinion. Too many (in my opinion!). It's obvious that Pegs fired Rex because his defense stunk and they were a loosey goosey club with no discipline. Pegs and the rest of the front office don't feel the need to explain every nuance of the firing to the media. They also don't want to explain all the behind the scenes dealings with Tyrod's contract. I'm ok with this. Just get the next coaching hire right and please keep Tyrod here until you have someone better. One thing to keep in mind is you have two people (Terry and Whaley) who aren't very good at off the cuff answers and speaking to the media. That makes it seem like they don't know what they're doing or don't have a plan. -
PFW: Tom Coughlin the favorite to replace Rex Ryan

It's funny that someone actually can report that Whaley "isn't excited" about Lynn. Where do reporters get knowledge of what Whaley is thinking? -
Tyrod scores more TD's per game than Flacco/Tannehill & more
zow2 replied to pbanach's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
No use in putting all these stats out there. The people that want to move on from TT are probably also interested in tanking. I personally want to win every game. NO need to blow this thing up. Keep Tyrod, build a defense that can actually dominate teams in the late season weather here...not fold. No reason you can't draft another QB and try to develop one while Tyrod runs the show in the meantime. -
I Think the Bills Have Two Options
zow2 replied to BuffaloBaumer's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Option 2 infers tanking and i completely disagree with that notion in the NFL. If they covet one QB there is still no guarantee of finishing with the worst record to land him. The team is not bad, no need to blow it up. They need to re-sign Tyrod and try to improve the defense which should not be too hard to do. If they absolutely love a QB in the 2018 draft then by all means, trade a bunch of picks and move up. I wouldn't blame them for trying to hit a HR if things still aren't working in 2017.
