  1. Yeah after dropping the last home game to Kent State they really need this one..
  2. Overdorf,... you're next,
  3. Seems like the Bills are trying to get younger, smarter, hard working...new blood in the building. Certainly not a bad thing.
  4. Anyone heard from the new coach yet? or his he still holed up in 18 hours a day of film study?
  5. 100% agree. I don't like Foles. Keep TT
  6. It's definitely off-field related. The guy acts like an entitled d-bag, but let's face facts. Against Alabama in 2015 he threw for 341 yds and 3 TDs. In 2016 vs 'Bama he threw for 421 yds and 3 TDs (no INTs in either game). No matter what anyone thinks of this guy, he's going to play in the NFL and has a legit chance to be very good.
  7. Anthony Lynn was doing radio interviews all over the place from Houston during Super Bowl week. I enjoyed listening to his stories. Good dude. Unfortunately the last thing I'll remember in his Bills era is the team looking like the keystone cops vs the jets. Our new coach is remaining awfully quiet indeed. Let's hope his structure and way of doing things is the right mix for this club.
  8. Eh, I'm optimistic. Like every new year I think the Patriots will weaken a bit. Especially after winning an epic Super Bowl I'm *hoping* it takes the edge off their "hunger" for another Super Bowl...They have a target on their backs as usual. We went 0-4 vs Miami and the Jets. That's unlikely again. The previous year Buffalo was 4-0. Kansas City Chiefs- solid team but got a ton of bounces and good fortune in 2016. Bills are due to beat them. Los Angeles Chargers- winnable game in a 30,000 seat soccer stadium with a ton of transplant Bills fans there. Atlanta Falcons- ATL will have a Super Bowl hangover in 2017 much like Carolina did in 2016. Loss of Shanahan is big. Carolina Panthers- Tough game. McDermott will have the guys ready against a team he knows very well. Cincinnati Bengals- Eh, another so-so team. beatable. Denver Broncos- The D will have a good game at home. This will be a low scoring win. Oakland Raiders- Bills owe them an L. We haven't beaten the Raiders in a while. It's at home. New Orleans Saints- McDermott knows the NFC South personnel very well. This is a good season to play that division. Tampa Bay Buccaneers- See New Orleans Tennessee Titans- A team much like Buffalo. Probably has Wild Card implications. Gotta win this. It's home so that's a plus
  9. It's funny to me that people want to keep losing so they can maybe get better down the road. But they've been losing for years...so have the Sabres for that matter/ and not getting appreciably better. That road has ended for me. I want to win now. I'm guessing so does Pegs and McDermott. If TT is their best chance at several wins then keep him for goodness sake and get more players to surround him..especially another solid WR and TE. Get over the hump and make the playoffs.. Then we can talk about winning the Championship. They need to make the playoffs first.
  10. Ok, I've been so supportive of TT that maybe i need this to get away from it a bit. So Tom Brady can accept team friendly deals but Tyrod won't?!? Okay, see ya on the Jets or Browns where i will hate you.
  11. I agree that he's NOT Russell Wilson, but TT has similar traits, that's all I'm saying. Yes, RW has proven to be a better passer ,,,,but he's also had better receiving options, a great running game in their hey day Super Bowl years and a fantastic defense. This year, as their offensive talent has drifted more towards the middle of the pack, RW did not perform as well. His numbers are better of course because he threw 110 more passes than TT.
  12. Exactly. TT isn't going to get worse, and for all the ..."he's mediocre" blah blah, ...."he can't throw over the middle of the field" blah blah,..."he's too expensive"...blah blah.. For all that nonsense the guy led the team to 25.9 points per game. And that's amazing considering the D and ST over the final 10 games did next to nothing to set the offense up in great field position, let alone score a bunch of points. His threat to run is a huge help for the running game. Guess what folks...people rail on Whaley for not drafting Russell Wilson. Meanwhile Jeff Fisher this year said TT was another Russell Wilson. Pete Carroll said TT was as big a threat as RW. WE basically HAVE Russell Wilson 2.0 here. Seattle only averaged 22.1 points per game this season. So why do people want to start over and push TT out of town? The team is stupid if they let him walk without a guaranteed better QB to replace him. You let Tyrod walk and start Cardale or some draft pick, like others have said...be prepared for about 18 points per game average (if lucky) and a 4-12 record.
  13. I disagree, but hey, whatever... I get the reasoning why some people want TT out of here. I'm just not one of them. Find a way to keep him at a deal that benefits the team and still keeps him happy.
  14. Apparently now the Jets are reportedly out on pursuing Jay Cutler and will instead focus on Tyrod Taylor or Mike Glennon. This article is interesting in that it states " Taylor will be cut by the Bills, while Glennon is a free agent." http://jetswire.usatoday.com/2017/02/09/report-jets-wont-pursue-jay-cutler-tyrod-taylor-mike-glennon-options/
  15. This just confirms what we already know. That Buffalo by far and away is the most tortured sports city in America. We are all huge sports fans and love our Buffalo teams...and we desperately want what we can't have.
  16. If it were only that easy. And even if you suck enough to land the #1 pick there's no guarantee he will turn out to be Great like Brady and/or Manning. I'd rather strive to make my team as good as possible every year. Then if you love a guy like Darnold, go ahead and trade your whole draft to move up. If you think he is the final piece to the puzzle.
  17. I agree with Tyrod. I get extremely annoyed by the Buffalo media. I don't even think most of the scribes are sports fans anymore. They are just bitter, jaded, middle aged men. Their true personalities really show up on Twitter. What a bunch of jerks.
  18. Prior to this Super Bowl the damage was already done with New England. Their legacy was cemented. This just added one extra layer. I don't care that they won,...I just want this to "quench their thirst" for a final championship in the B&B era. If they lost to Atlanta they would come back extra hungry next season to the detriment of the Bills. Maybe just maybe this will take the edge off a little. We can only hope!
  19. He was interviewed on DC radio this morning. When they asked Lorax about his fantastic season he did say this his skill set fit Rex Ryan's scheme. So if the scheme is drastically different under McDermott I don't know where he stands. I hope they keep him another season.
  20. I would take NE -3 all day. Matt Ryan, Quinn and those guys are not used to the big stage. They won't fold but against Brady and the Belicheck D, and their big game experience... It's gonna be a Pats win.
  21. I agree about TT. But interestingly enough, the Washington media is having a field day today with information that the Redskins are looking to trade Cousins for some draft picks. I think that's a bad move. They think Colt McCoy can step in short term, do a decent job running their offense and do it with fewer turnovers.
  22. This. I'm sorry but fans are completely delusional to think the Bills are better off going into 2017 without a BETTER replacement in house. I don't care about saving Terry Pegula money. Work on a restructured contract for TT that benefits the team and still keeps Tyrod and his agent happy. Draft a new QB and continue to develop Cardale. Maybe they will get lucky and one of them can push Tyrod down the road.
  23. I'm the opposite... It's bad enough in the past year that the city of Cleveland has won a Championship...but the Cubs too. Even a middling town like Kansas City has a major sports championship. I can't stomach the possibility of Atlanta hoisting a Lombardi trophy. I lived there. Terrible sports town, although the Falcons have been supported well this year. Too much of a transient population in ATL. They glob on to the flavor of the week., whatever the popular thing is. In that regard I'm rooting for New England. Sorry. The damage is done with NE, and what's another Super Bowl?!? Besides, if Brady and Belichek win, maybe *just maybe* it takes the edge off their "hunger" for another crown and the Bills can sneak in there and win the division (if NE has a super bowl hangover).
  24. So much focus is on Brady that people sleep on the Bill Belicheck defense. The same coach that found a way to rough up the Bills in SB 25. I think Belicheck and his coaches find a way to slow Atlanta.. and of course they have enough offense to score plenty if they need to. Pats 30 Falcons 23
