  1. I totally agree. Nate would be a legend if they even sneak in at 9-7... This Chargers game is the big indicator. If they lose in LA (and a rookie QB making his first start probably has a huge losing %)....they would need to win at least two games they are not supposed to win...AND win the games they are supposed to win. That being said, Peterman should show some big improvement between his 1st and 2nd starts.
  2. I was listening to an interview with the Saints broadcast analyst. It hammered home the brilliance of Sean Payton and how Dennison is not in his league. Payton likes to have a "joker" position in his offense and creates a lot of match-up problems. For a while it was Reggie Bush, then it was Darren Sproles. This year in the 2017 draft Payton took a ton of heat from the media and fan base for trading a 7th and 2018- 2nd round pick ...to move up and select Alvin Kamara in the 3rd round. Kamara was supposed to fulfill the new joker role in Payton's offense and boy does he ever. What a great move. And we get to watch Dennison throwing dump off's to Tolbert and ramming him up the middle for 2 yards. We don't even have a real RB2 dressed for games. Ridiculous.
  3. The toughest thing to figure is whether or not the D can bail themselves out of their downward spiral? if not they will go 0-7 regardless of who is playing QB. I do think their problems correlate with the offense not maintaining possessions. After getting crushed the last two games I didn't think they would make the playoffs with Tyrod. With Peterman i still don't think they make playoffs, but the unknown is fun. If they somehow flip the LA game into a W, the KC and NE home game, to me, don't look quite as unwinnable. Tyrod led offense 7-9 at LA Loss at KC Loss vs NE Loss vs Indy Win vs Mia Win at NE Loss at Mia Loss Peterman led offense 8-8 at LA Loss at KC Loss vs NE Loss vs Indy Win vs Mia Win at NE Loss at Mia Win
  4. The running on the field is insanely ballsy....doing it naked!? that's next level to the umpteenth degree. It would take me being a lot more than drunk or high to do that!
  5. I'd be surprised if he rolled in his first game. LA has not given up too many points to the good teams (Chiefs scored 24, Eagles 26, Raiders 16, Patriots 21, Jags 20, Broncos 0). I expect this to be a 20-17 type of game. Peterman, 20-33, 238 yards, 1 TD, 1 INT... 5 rushes, 21 yards
  6. When the Bills hired Dennison, this is when Taylor needed to re-invent himself as a QB. Unfortunately after a 5-4 start (in which the D had a huge hand in creating)....Tyrod was never able to do it. I'm a Tyrod fan but he simply can't be an effective passer from the pocket and he won't throw contested passes downfield. So there ya go. He led the team to 3 points vs. Carolina and New Orleans. The offense was handed some turnovers in the Cincinnati game and they failed to do much at all. Losing that game was a killer. The National media isn't talking about any of that. Let's see if Peterman can get it done and if so, he will take pressure off the defense as well.
  7. Just circling back on the original post. I think McD saw what a lot of us saw. I blame the defensive struggles in large part to the offense being stagnant. Usually i am the first one to say "the D sucks they can't stop anybody".. If the O can't maintain possessions and keeps punting there's no way any D will hold up and they get tired and demoralized. Just hoping we have a QB now that can take some chances and make some plays with his arm.
  8. In his presser today Peterman kind of reminded me of Cousins and a young Drew Brees the way he spoke. I'm old enough that he also reminds me of Frank Reich, in appearance and the way he plays...probably more athletic than Frank. Anyway, if he can have success like any one of those guys on the field I will be psyched up!
  9. Let's just hope and pray this is our Bledsoe to Brady moment in franchise history. or more recently, Savage to Watson!
  10. That's absurd. Yep, i agree with that. I'm sure directly after the game in his presser, McD genuinely meant what he said about Tyrod remaining the starter. but once he saw the film breakdown, listened to the position coaches/GM, and had private conversations with others, I think it became apparent now is the time. We all speculated here that starting Peterman off against KC or NE was a bad idea so the Chargers game (which will be like Buffalo-West coast atmosphere) is the right time.
  11. The Locker-room was already lost. He's in the process of trying to get it back! You figured after the Jets game this group of men would rally together like the "family" they claimed to be... but that Saints game was proof positive there is serious deficiencies in that room. And as i mentioned in another thread, it's starts with offense and being able to control the ball and actually score. The Cincinnati game still haunts me because i think that game will ultimately cost Buffalo the wild card. The D folded last week. I think this change at QB will even help to rally them back.
  12. BUT, if Peterman has a special quality to him, they won't be able to shut him down entirely. He will still be effective even after DC's get film on him. If he turns out to be another Tom Savage...then yes, he will get shut down fairly quickly and QB1 will be drafted in April 2018.
  13. Tyrod still may see the field coming off the bench. Can't be mentally undone by this. But ya also can't keep checking down on 3rd and 13, 3rd and 20, etc..
  14. I'd like to believe that McD is putting the best players out there and is not overly Loyal to anyone. Speaking of loyalty, I'd like to see Tolbert have a much more limited role and use an RB2 who is actually fast.
  15. Better hope Peterman has a football IQ through the roof! LA will be throwing all sorts of packages at him. He will have about 2 seconds to break it all down in his head. We should be doing the same on D if LA plays their backup QB.
  16. So funny to hear some of the National media. They hate the move because of the timing. They other reason they hate the move is because no one has ever heard of Nate Peterman and he doesn't inspire confidence. Seriously? Did anyone really know Dak Prescott? How does anyone know much about any QB until they start playing. One good thing about starting him now is the week right after a historically bad QB performance by Tyrod. He won't look worse than that. He may not light it up but he won't be worse, lol.
  17. It's plain and simple. Teams are now keeping Tyrod in the pocket about 95% of the time. Tyrod is not a good pocket passer. Nathan is a good pocket passer. Done deal. I give McD huge props for doing the right thing, now, before the season is officially in exhibition mode. I also like the idea of Tyrod coming off the bench if something happens to Nate. He's probably more effective off the bench and less pressure.
  18. Well let’s be real. Our Bills don’t luck out into anything so they won’t luck into a WC berth. They did get their share of luck getting to 5-2 but as usual that was smoke n mirrors
  19. Just my opinion, but i don't think any of these teams have a terrible defense. Yet all have been getting gashed lately for yards and points against. I feel like this is directly attributable to the offenses not carrying their weight. just giving up possessions way too easily...either through 3 and outs or turnovers. Every possession in an NFL game is critical. There aren't that many compared to college football. Even if the team is not scoring they need to flip the field into a favorable position. Defense obviously has to do their part too, and Buffalo was not winning that Saints game no matter if the D only gave up 20 points. But man, offenses are just killing these 3 teams and it demoralizes the D, tires them out and gives motivation to the opponents who feel a surge of confidence when their opposition can't move effectively or score much.
  20. Atlanta lost to Buffalo and Miami, AT HOME! That's the main thing I'm grasping onto at this point. The fact that most teams have peaks and valleys but level out at some point. Just hoping we are through the worst valley and can finish the season on an upswing.
  21. We finally found a season where the Bills actually beat the Broncos and Raiders..plus a solid Falcons team. The Chargers are certainly not special. The Dolphins and Jets are no threat for the playoffs....The Ravens, Bengals are crap, the Texans got unlucky w/ injuries and Indy stinks.... The AFC really comes down to NE, KC, Pitt and the Jags. Everyone else is mediocre to garbage. Amazing if the Bills still can't sneak in to this postseason tournament after 5-2. What a way to piss away a good start.
  22. Two more losses to play with my friends. Gotta get to 10-6 somehow. I don't think 9-7 gets it done. So they can't lose to the LA Chargers. In my opinion, at best they will split with NE and Miami so there's your other 2 losses.
  23. Lol, a lot of us will probably be dead in 7 years. I'd like to win now please.
  24. I don't think it's a bad thing. He's the captain of the ship so he needs to lead by example. I mean you see other coaches like Adam Gase or McAdoo express some emotion and it hasn't done anything to make their teams win more. At some point though, maybe if they get steamrolled again I'd like to see McDermott consider spreading the healthy scratches around. I don't think any player wants that on his resume,...knowing he was scratched and not dinged up. I'm sure that stuff gets around league circles in a hurry. I don't see a fire getting lit under these guys. After the Jets game i thought they'd come out and be raving lunatics at home. And they knew the Saints were running and couldn't stop it. They also could not run or pass. I'd like to see some urgency.
  25. The year Kelvin Benjamin was injured Carolina made the Super Bowl. The first game they trade him, they score 45 even with a bunch of drops. The Bills first game with KB, they have no offense whatsoever. Ugh. So Billsy
