One drive? he better only do one play.

This is going to be such a bizarre game. I can guarantee that NE executives and ownership want to lose this game and hold on to that #1 overall pick to use it as they please. Meanwhile the Bills better have Allen and any other important starter in track suits on the sidelines. If they don't they are idiots. To hell with a consecutive games streak no one cares. So it will be the battle of backups and if the Bills lose that will hurt New England.

I watch that show a few days per week. Acho has been very pro-Allen all season. The last couple weeks he's dialed it back because they run an MVP segment everyday and they need good debate. Acho is also very aware what it means historically to award someone 3 MVP's who has not done much in the playoffs. He's not going in that direction.

I'd disagree there. I've seen some competence but nothing special from Drake Maye yet. Granted he's on a lousy team I give him that. But the Commanders didn't come into the season with a bounty of offensive talent, they were a horrendous defense last year too. Daniels has transformed the franchise and he's shown a bunch of "special" this season. I would take him over all the rookies.

Someone can link the segment later, but on First Things First, Broussard broke down the MVP favorites by 4 categories and assigned points to them. He said that's what he does for his NBA MVP vote. Anyway, Josh won with 9 points, Lamar and Saquon each had 7. Regarding historic precedent, I thought it was interesting when he said no one in the NBA who had 2-MVP's ever won a 3rd MVP until his team won a Championship. Nick Wright made a pitch for Darnold as MVP if he wins the #1 seed next weekend. Individual Stats Team Success Supporting Cast Historic Precedent

If Denver blows it, even when the Chiefs are giving them the gift of backups, then i would take Miami over Cinci. It's not only Bills fans that don't want to see Cincinnati, the Chiefs don't want the Bengals hanging around either.

Did you all see the video shot in the Atlanta sports bar last night, when the walk off field goal was short? Pretty funny. All the ATL fans thought it was good and started prematurely celebrating going crazy. The bar set off a big celebration. People online said it was the most Falcons thing ever.

They better be at least 10-0.

And memo to folks here not to get lost in the sauce this coming weekend. Lamar is going to play vs Cleveland of course and he may account for 5 TD's by halftime and it will be 35-3 Baltimore. Harbaugh will keep him in there the entire 2nd half too. Cleveland is tanking that's why they've been using DTR and not Winston. Jameis might actually outscore someone. The Browns don't want that. Allen had to play right through week 18 last season and Lamar sat out week 18 vs Pittsburgh as did almost all the Ravens starters. Didn't matter. Lamar was still 49-1 in the final vote. The final weekend means much different priorities for different teams and the voters aren't stupid.

Here's the deal. I don't know if Joe Brady is a great leader of men, or a great culture creator. I have no idea. I really appreciate McDermott and what he has meant for the Bills and his record of regular season success with Allen has been awesome. I have never been on that train calling for McD to be let go. BUT, if the Bills lose in the Wild Card round or Divisional I'd shake his hand if I were ownership, thank McD and name Joe Brady as the head coach. Why? because Joe is going to get a head coach job somewhere in the offseason and it might as well be here. He's not only close with the franchise QB, he's been really really good for the entire offense.

Adam Schein is a voter. He said on his Sirius show this morning it's Allen and it's not close in his opinion. He's not impressed much with the Bills weapons outside of Cook and he's not overly impressed with the Bills D. But he said Allen is everything and 13-3 is amazing for this club. And if the Bills win the Super Bowl it will be ALL Josh Allen. So that's 4 guys this morning that have said they'd vote for Josh (and 2 are voters).

On Get Up this morning, Greeny, Rex and Orlovsky all said if they voted today it would be Allen. They made a good case for him as others have said MVP is not all about stats. No one had the Bills at 13-3 with the guys they have (vs the guys they lost). They all mentioned Henry having a huge season has made it easier for Jackson. And while Lamar and Burrow are elite they are playing right through the end of every game while Allen is sitting a bunch of 4th quarters. They will out-stat Allen based on that. ESPN put up a Next Gen Stats graphic of Avg. Target Separation, and Tight window Completions-Attempts. Lamar has 4.31 avg yards separation 15 for 46 Allen has 3.65 avg, 27 for 81 Burrow has 3.22 avg, 27 for 96 Allen and Burrow are in the bottom 10 of avg yards of separation. I would say Burrow is having an outstanding season but they have 8 losses and he does have Chase and Tee Higgins. They are elite.

Regarding Saquon, Shefter said this morning that the priority yesterday running him 31 times was to get 2,000. That was their goal but by everything he has heard, the Eagles will rest all their important starters this week vs Giants.
-
Yep, and not to mention they don't want to lose 4 in a row. Tomlin will see to that.
-
That's funny. That sign represents the spouses feelings of Sabres players who are traded.
-
They stick the Ravens on the National TV late afternoon Saturday game. So the world can watch Lamar’s brilliance vs 3-13 Cleveland. while Allen sits.
-
I think the Bucs would be more of a threat in the playoffs with Baker.

Feb. 8th, i believe

He has a better record, a better seed, and the most impressive thing is going 2-0 vs KC and Detroit and 12 games 30+ points. Meanwhile Lamar’s Ravens were the projected team to win AFC North again, added a HOF RB who has nearly 1,800 yards and they lost to KC and Philly.
-
Hopefully voters also remember that on January 6, 2024, the Ravens hosted the Steelers in their final regular season game. Lamar sat out the game as Baltimore was locked into the 1 seed. If Josh sits out this week he’s earned the right just as Lamar did a year ago.

I’ve been wondering if the voters notice that or if they are given that information before they vote? Do they just trust that the voters watch the games and highlights? i have no idea.
