No, that Pats game it was 7 degrees with a wind chill of -5. This game is supposed to be 13 degrees, feels like -3. Should be a bit more breezy for this game.
-
I'm sure that injured knee is gonna perform wonderfully in air temp of 13 degrees (feels like temp -3).

I'm not sure about a 2 TD victory, but as I've mentioned before I'd be surprised if the Bills drop a 3rd straight Divisional playoff home game. I mean these are the teams you have to beat to get to the big game,,,, Cinci, KC and now Baltimore. The Chiefs have won 6 straight Divisional round games. The Bills have to win in the big moments, especially at home...

But unlike Lamar, James Cook actually relishes the cold. We just watched him run for 100 yards vs NE (9.1 avg per carry in 15 degrees) and 107 yards vs San Fran in snow (7.6 avg per carry).

Latest game forecast as reported this morning. Game time 6:30pm: 13 degrees (feel like -3 degrees), 14mph wind gusts, 65% chance for snow
-
Hot take, but i think James Cook will have more yards rushing than Derrick Henry...and certainly more total yards.

When you look at the Ravens games over the past couple months either Henry or Lamar have had very good games and sometimes both. I mean no one is stopping both guys. The Steelers loss in week 11 is as close as anyone has come to shutting both down and Harbaugh/Monken were heavily criticized for only giving Henry 13 carries.

Listening to some of the press conferences and sound bytes this week, the Bills players seem relaxed and supremely confident. I think they know something.
-
Lamar said he's not going to wear a throwing glove this week. He did it once and didn't like how it felt. I'm saying he has no idea how his hand will feel on Sunday evening in that icebox. Wasn't there a clip on Hard Knocks a few weeks ago where Lamar was complaining about the cold and it was like 35 degrees out.
-
100% agree. It's been cold down here in the Mid Atlantic near Baltimore but the coldest highs have been 28-30 degrees and typically in the mid-high 30's. That's considered a cold day here. This Saturday when the Ravens depart BWI it will be 44. The high Sunday in Bmore is 35. The Ravens don't play many games in the low teens or single digits, certainly not this season. It's brutal. The ball comes out of the QB's hands differently. Catching the ball is harder,,, making slick plays are harder. Lamar...being a Florida guy has stated in the past he doesn't like the cold. Doesn't mean he won't ball out, it's just harder. And we've seen the Bills this season play in freezing conditions and snow for that matter. The weather Sunday evening is absolutely advantage Bills. If Baltimore comes in and beats them, they will have earned it and I will tip my cap.
-
Well, we just watched Denver get the immediate score and it made the Bills play even harder. So i'd prefer to kick off if we win the toss, much like Baltimore chose to do in week 4.
-
I think Mixon will play. He doesn't have to practice to play on Saturday. But that makes sense now why KC fans are so dismissive of the Texans game. They are acting like the game is over and the Chiefs are already hosting the Bills/Ravens. I hope Houston smacks them in the mouth somehow.
-
There's no sure thing. I feel like we've seen the opponent win the toss a half dozen times this season and elect to kickoff. The Bills get the ball and promptly go 3 and Out, Pfffftt. I think that happened at Baltimore and in the Houston losses. Actually in Baltimore it maybe have been 6 plays and punt. Screws up the whole first quarter possession time and field position.

In a couple of the recent home games vs NE and Denver, the Bills have gotten off to sluggish starts. Yes, this game they need to come out as if they're already losing or something and be intense from the first snap.
-
Living in that area I know a ton of Ravens fans. They are confident of course, but nervous having to play at Orchard Park. Keyshawn Johnson on FS1 Speak hates the Bills. He hates the city, hates the weather, hates Allen...for whatever he just takes any opportunity to not say anything good about them.
-
Somebody better lay a hit on Lamar, preferably early, where his entire body feels like its getting driven into icy concrete. If the D takes a 15 yarder so be it. I can live with one. Lamar needs to feel some pain, he can't be allowed to roam around and do what he likes with impunity. I recall sitting in the stands in Baltimore earlier this season and the Ravens D players were trying to get any big shot on Allen that they could. Last Sunday, Denver was taking a few shots on Allen... one guy even went out of his way to roll into Allen's lower legs.

A reminder to everyone regarding the upcoming game

It's all true but Mahomes, Lamar, Allen are keenly aware during the games of what the other QB is doing and what the offense needs to do to keep pace or create separation. -
When i peeked in at the Chiefs board yesterday they had a 10 page thread about this. Just eyeballing some of the posts seems the majority would rather play the Ravens, not the Bills. Like you said, many feel confident they can contain Lamar, better than Allen, and generally always beat the Ravens.

In the first meeting the backup RB, Justice Hill who is mostly their 3rd down back had 6 receptions for 78 yards, 1 td. Gotta shut that down, but also would be great if Ty Johnson could make some plays in the passing game for us. He does have the 2nd best hands on the team next to Shakir.
-
Lamar hates cold weather and does not feel totally comfortable playing in 35 degrees let alone 12 or whatever it will be. Keep in mind when the Ravens fly out of Baltimore on Saturday afternoon it will be 42 degrees....when they land in Buffalo it will be dropping into the teens overnight. I would sell out to stop the run, spy Lamar, make him be a passer if you can.

A 3rd consecutive Divisional Round home loss? No chance
zow2 replied to zow2's topic in The Stadium Wall
There has been 2 other Teams/QBs who have lost in the same playoff round four consecutive seasons. Josh will not be the 3rd, we are getting it done in the Divisional round at home. 2011-2014 Andy Dalton, Bengals Wild Card round 1990-1993 Jim Kelly, Bills Super Bowl -
A 3rd consecutive Divisional Round home loss? No chance

One thing I've seen from McDermott is that he is very good in revenge games. Along with a bolstered roster (from the first Ravens game), McD, Babich and Brady will make the necessary corrections to win this game. My dream path to the SB, revenge over Baltimore, revenge over Houston, revenge over the LA Rams. Boom, done. -
A couple of the voters who we know selected Josh, said it was all about the “valuable” portion of MVP. That means everything for this award and point to Josh Allen. He earned the 2 seed and had 2 fewer losses with a team that was not expected to be this good.

The reason Ravens maybe the most difficult out for the Bills
zow2 replied to PoundingDog's topic in The Stadium Wall
The weather absolutely favors Buffalo. I don’t care how anyone spins it. Lamar hates the cold, he just won’t perform as well in the low teens temperatures. I do believe Cook will offset Henry.
