Benjamin Franklin replied to Deranged Rhino's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
I see the conspiracy stuff as something different than looking for a Freudian parent figure, but as search for a narrative, a way to make sense of the world at a more fundamental level than search for daddy. And agree that the truth of "spit happens" and there's not always a reason. When the asteroid hits or the supervolcano blows, the truth of it will be that sometimes you draw the fourth Ace. -
All democracies have suffered from oligarchical influence, be it in the form of people with money or common interest groups banding together. The Romans and Greeks made your complaint, and in 5000 years, democracies will still be making it. Chief Grog once said to Medicine Man Ug that he couldn't believe the neadrethals wanted more mammoth meat.

Which parts? That the one actual patent had nothing to do with propulsion (it didn't) or that the other patent application that wasn't a patent at all was a pile pile of garbage? Which one of those things is wrong? Before you respond, really read on about your source documents boy blunder. How stupid do you want to look? Very, very, very. The guy you linked to, Jack S. Kilby, certainly sounds like a smart guy. He has nothing whatever to do with the patents you referenced though. The guy you confused him with is John St. Clair, author of the triangle nonsense patent application that the patent office laughed out of the patenting process, and that your goofball set is so excited about. (This guy was so amateur in his patent application that he filled out most of the forms by hand. No doubt his other hand was busy holding the roach.) Mr. John St. Clair, one of the authors of the patent application that you said was just published (it wasn't--it was published 11 years ago), sounds like your kind of guy. He is the founder of the Hyperspace Research Institute. In San Juan. Where all the great physicists live. But wait there's more. Mr. St. Clair has another, better patent application for...wait for it...teleportation. In this application, he makes this statement: "The basis for this invention is an event, referring to FIG. 1, occurring on May 2, 2004, in which the inventor (“he”) personally experienced a full-body teleportation while walking to the bus stop." https://www.google.com/patents/US20060071122 (The patent office also laughed this one out of the system.) Now ask yourself: Do you think Mr. St. Clair, founder of the Hyperspace Research Institute, maybe saw all your cabal's triangle UFO nonsense and then applied for a patent application when high on a little too much San Juan herb? Or do you think the government has had access to Mr. St. Clair's grand mind and been withholding this technology? If you want me to not talk down to you, you need to act a little bit like a sane human being. I think of you like a total nutjob, because, well, you are. I suggest that you insult me once and let this one go. You can't save yourself here Greg. -

You really are eager to talk about this side issue and ignore the substance of your stupid post. I don't blame you kemosabe. -

And the nonsense patents argument, the crux of your proof and post? I already mopped up that part of your post. You're as eager to ignore that problem as to answer with your theory about 9-11. I'd have to google the group you think Is behind all your conspiracies. Tom mentions it sometimes. Illuminati captures it well enough. Brandenberg? [edit: that's the concertos. Bildeberg is your group.] -
And the rest?

Regarding NASA, you'r right. You said the US government could build an antigravitronic (or something) spacecraft. Regarding Illuminati, it's close enough. And the rest of your post is total bunk and even you couldn't escape the hole you dug yourself. Check your sources next time. -
Lots of crazy to unpack here. US3675879 is a patent for more or less simulating gravity by charging a surface (like a floor) so that oppositely charged elements, say boots, might be attracted to the floor to create a gravity simulation. Nothing to cover up. It is not a patent for "propulsion." The published patent APPLICATION (it is NOT a patent) at https://www.google.c...569981762970673 was not "just released." It published 11 years ago. The US Patent and Trademark Office summarily rejected this stupid space time warping nonsense application for more or less being full of spit. The patent office examiner pointed out that the application was a work of fiction, and the applicant never responded, so the application went abandoned. The applicant (I'm loathe to say inventor...let's call him an author instead) likely created this junk, backfitting it to the triangle spacecraft narrative that tinfoil-hat groups spooge over, launching himself into fame and glory among the conspiracy set. NASA has nothing to do with either of these patent applications so that's another hole in this tale. But besides that, it's big news.

OK I opened your gift. Lots of crazy to unpack there, even by your standards. I'll stick with the patents. Nothing to cover up. It is not a patent for "propulsion." Your published patent APPLICATION (it is NOT a patent) at https://www.google.c...569981762970673 was not "just released." Trump Fires James Comey!
Benjamin Franklin replied to Trump_is_Mentally_fit's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Not going to find me confidently guessing at Comey's motives but I also am sympathetic to his no-win position at multiple points in this mess. Maybe he didn't see it as obstruction or maybe he did and kept the memo as evidence of his inability to be swayed. As a betting man, I think he kept the memos as a ticking time bomb that would blow up at an anticipated firing. Good old fashion human revenge. -

It's just her opinion. What's the big deal? There can't be a less desirable job on earth than to be Trump's press secretary. -
The Impeachment Of Donald J Trump
Benjamin Franklin replied to Trump_is_Mentally_fit's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
Pence would get more Republicsn legislation through and reset a level to international trade. Definitely bad for Dems but I don't give two spits about the Dems. Pence for Trump would be good for the country. But that's a ways off. -

Trump Fires James Comey!
Benjamin Franklin replied to Trump_is_Mentally_fit's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
This isn't the Titanic vault opening: The memo will be released in short order and its contents have been read aloud to a reporter, and comfirm d by multiple sources. Could they all be lying? I guess, but it's highly unlikely. And given Trump is Trump, do you really think he met with Comey and only subtly nudged him about the Flynn investigation, being careful and tactful in his practice of diplomatic artistry not to get to close to a dangerous line? -

I remember when you derided Lynch and Clinton over optics. You're on ignore but I open occasionally to see if you offer an opinion or just the usual regurgitation. -
The Media's Portrayal of Trump and His Presidency
Benjamin Franklin replied to Nanker's topic in Politics, Polls, and Pundits
And we all know Trump would drag the country through every moment of the impeachment process. No resigning to keep the dignity of the office intact for him. When the Reps turn en masse, they will turn fast. No one will want to be on Trimp's last defender. Right now they still hope to get meaningful work done. -

The Journal is my paper of choice. I believe they turned a long time ago. They just try so hard to be a good objective place that we can't recognize it--the volume of biased anti/ ( mostly) and pro- Trymp reporting leads us to overlook the objective voice. The biased but fair guys like Russert are hard to find right now. -

So many controversies since Flynn, maybe it's worth revisiting his poor judgment greatest hits. He called the Russian ambassador after Trump was pres-elect and after Obama threatened (weak ass Obama!) sanctions, and Flynn promises better treatment under Trump. Then lies about it to Pence. A future cabinet member making promises to a foreign country is worthy of question. Flynn exercised awful judgment at best. -

I like the "wholly appropriate" press conference today. Even in that repetitive defense, there was the admission that Trump made the decision to share the intel on impulse. Good way to run the country. Got a hemoiddoid itch? Outen sie goes a trade agreement. Just got a good BJ? Presidential pardon. -

So many controversies to track. Tonight's one is that Trump asked Comey to shut down the Flynn investigation. Your Stepford Wife/like defense of Trump is impressive though. Stand by your man, my brother. -

I'd like to know more about the basis for saying "An F.B.I. agents contemporaneous notes are widely held up in court as credible evidence of conversations." I'm guessing that's a reference to the admissibility of the evidence as an exception to the hearsay rule (803(6)). The weight to be given the evidence depends on all of the circumstances. By the way, it's double hearsay, since we're asked not only to believe what Comey wrote but the unnamed individuals who told the NYT about the memo. The NYT has not seen a copy of the memo. But let's assume the memo exists and says what you read quoted in the post title. How bad is it to say Flynn is a "good guy" and to express "hope" about the outcome? The headline has a pretty aggressive paraphrase of the quote. It reads: "Comey Memo Says Trump Asked Him to End Flynn Investigation." The asking is at most only implicit in what is a declarative statement: "I hope you can see your way clear to letting this go." That's just Trump revealing what he hopes for. There's no question at all, let alone any pressure or threat. And "see your way clear" is a delicate phrase. That's not saying do it my way. Go your way. And if your path is clear and it gets you to the outcome I hope for, then I will get what I want, but I'm assuming you will go where you see it clear. Here's the White House response to the memo: Yeah, and Bill chatting with Lynch on the tarmac was no big deal right? Holy hypocrisy Batman.
