Funny, I've don't my share of travelling and when I've said I'm Canadian they were glad because they thought I was American. It's interesting that alot of Americans travel with a Canadian Flag on their back pack or say they are Canadian. Canada's population is 10% of the US and we can still give you guys a decent run in a game. Lets not forget the best player from North America is Owen Hargreaves, a Canadian born and raised player. I still play with some of his team mates in mens league. I didn't play with Owen as he is younger. Plus, it will be 3 and out for the US. As fun as this is, back to the orginal question, do you know if the ABC/ESPN games will be a british feed or American commentary?

lighten up folks', lets reword that with I hate North American commentators. I don't have TSN, I have US satellite. But I am considering getting TSN just to avoid having to listen to some MSL hack try to do commentary on a world cup game and make a goal kick sound exciting. And I don't need to American bash, the rest of the world appears to be doing that. Cheers!

I can't stand watching a game with American commentators. And I'm trying to figure out if I need to pick up BBC, etc. or if ESPN et al will just pick up the british feed. Any one know?

I know very little about the defence and I couldn't have written that article. I was hoping it was a detailed explanation. If anyone could any anything further, it would be appreciated.

I'll be cheering for him. Hopefully time away from football has helped him. He did everything the bills asked from him and laid his body on the line for the Bills. Some of the hits he took, I was saying, just stay down, and he got right back up! except that time he fell on the ball and hurt his ribs..doh!

I just bought a new/used car Hyandai Accent
Hardy Pyle replied to John from Riverside's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
you did "barter" for it...? Were your trying to exchange your kitchen sink and your old RJ jersey for the car. I couldn't drive a Hyundai, but it seems to meet your price point and needs. How did that swimming pool project end up for you? And how's the son doing in football. Daughter still getting bullied? Damn...I know more about you than I know about some of my co-workers. -
and what seems to stick out in my mind is that they pick players that they like for their systems and not just the best player available. I recall that when they took Casey Hampton, he was taken to play the 3-4 nose and that's who they wanted all along, even if he was a reach. Same with Polamalu. They really fell in love with the guy. Both of these picks worked out very well for the team. Their draft strategies just stuck out as a little different than other teams as they picked a player that fit the system. That's what I think people are missing about our first pick. Sure we, could have traded the pick and went to the next best player on our board, etc. and picked up a extra picks. But I think if you find a player that has all the intangibles, is a need and fits your system, you'd be silly to pass him up just so you can speculate on another player your less sure of. And you might have players on the bench that are decent players, but you need players that excel in your system to win the superbowl and not just players that were good value on draft day.

Swindon...I spent time there. I have family there. Rooney is out. By bye England hopes. US number 4? They got stomped by Germany 5-1. US team has no class. Tactically, they play well, but no real class players IMHO. With a bit of luck, they'll make it out of the group stages, but it will be over in a hurry for them.

Thanks.

Out of the 7 maybe 1 to 3 will be worth their draft slotting. So I think it matters alot. Of that list, 5 will likely be out of football after 5 years.

Eric Mulds Like the Queen in chess

I agree. Team dynamics are strange. I've played on teams where losing a key star player has changed how we play the game, tactics, etc. -
JP looked rough last night on the Telethon
Hardy Pyle replied to Billsjunkie's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I hear the first break out session at spring mini camp is Telethon practice, weed out the men from the boys. -

Screw training camp...lets just have a telethon ever year and pick the starters based on haircuts. We'll be Team Vidal. -
Why would we not resign Edwards?
Hardy Pyle replied to Hardy Pyle's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Interesting that Kummrie has first hand knowledge of the guy and wanted to sign him. Apparently we wanted him (but rejected our offer), Kummrie wanted him, but guys that watch football on TV on Sunday don't want him. I don't feel any better about losing him. -
I was surprised to see the article with him in Kansas City?

Video-50 greatest soccer goals..not big on soccer
Hardy Pyle replied to Stl Bills's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Thanks for the link. Don't know if I'd agree with the ordering. But good goals! I think you'd have to add Rhonaldhino's two recent goals against Real Madrid to the list as well. -
drafting Parrish or releasing P.Williams
Hardy Pyle replied to Hardy Pyle's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
two words...Bryce Fisher. <crap><poop><crap> If I wasn't against violence I would punch TD in the face. Hard. -
It hurts my poor brain thinking about this.

I can't believe we didn't resign Pat Williams.
Hardy Pyle replied to Hardy Pyle's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
That was my point...of all the mistakes, that I could rationalize and look past...this one was just the dumbest one of all. -
I take great comfort that many fans do not like
Hardy Pyle replied to Hardy Pyle's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I have no problems with Gandy. Adams....I wouldn't call that a success. Fletcher...not everyone liked him...turned out pretty good. Spikes....everyone liked him, and he turned out pretty good. -
...because over the past 3 -5 years it seems like just about every signing the Bills made that the fans were salivating over turned out to be a dissapointment. Marv, keep bringing in the ground troops. I'd much rather see us build a team like NE than go after big name signings. I personally, don't know if these are good signings or bad, but the fact that most fans disagree with them is a good sign to me. adios!

Kevin Mawae's farewell to Jets letter

I like the false press clippings Cottrell would give to Washington about what Mawae was saying to motivate Fat Ted. It worked though... -
When will the Cdn $ surpass the US $?
Hardy Pyle replied to Hardy Pyle's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
wow...really, I never knew that. Thanks for the info. I always presumed the cdn $ was subpar to the us $.
