  1. Only if you're from England.
  2. Cadillac Williams, meet Takeo Spikes. Fumble. The Bucs horrible O-Line can't handle our D. Griese caves under pressure and throws at least 2 picks, one of which is returned for a TD. Losman also feels pressure, and throws a pick too. Overall, I think the Bills pull this one out. Bills 20, Bucs 10.
  3. I think putting Parrish as questionable is a nice cloak and dagger move by the coach. Why let the opposition game plan for him. Just pop the surprise on them come game time.
  4. What a bunch of highly paid hooligans.
  5. Doesn't FEMA care about white people? How am I going to charge my cell phone?
  6. Apparently Sherman Oaks, Burbank, and West LA are hit. I'm working in the South Bay right now, and we have power (obviously). There is power out in other areas of the valley too according to reports.
  7. So anytime a team is leading, they stop passing? Umm, ok.
  8. Texans 17 Bills 13 It's 13-10 Bills, but Losman throws an interception returned for a touchdown
  9. I think it's the 35th largest city. If you're number 35, is that still large? Just a question.
  10. Exactly. Orton was great against Syracuse. Not so great against Wisconsin and others. Brees is much better IMHO, but we'll see how he does. Again, I hope Orton does well butI've seen him crack at the worst possible times.
  11. Yes. 51-0. And then I watched him crumble in the Wisconsin game and have a mediocre season the rest of the way. He was actually pulled last year and Brandon Kirsch was put in. They said Orton had a "hip flexor" injury. Whatever...Tiller got tired of his weaksauce play. He eventually become the starter again. Orton was also benched either his junior or sophomore year too. When things are good he's good. When things go downhill, so does he. And yes, I'm a Purdue alum.
  12. As a Purdue alum, I don't think Orton has nearly as much talent as Brees. I was always saying Brees had a lot of talent, but he didn't really shine until last year. I've seen Orton make mistakes at the worst possible times. He's one of those guys who plays great when everything is going right, but tends to show some cracks when things don't go so well. Hopefully, Orton will prove me wrong. But I certainly think he'll be better than Hutchinson who is purely horrible.
  13. Not to be the only one who isn't excited about this, but who cares if we get "respect" or not? Besides, it's all conjecture anyway until they get on the field and play. Maybe I'm the only one who gets annoyed listening to guys argue over which team would "win" when they haven't even played yet. Oh well, I would love for us to do well this season.
  14. It's my understanding that "NeoCon" means someone who used to be a Dove, but is now a Hawk (lib to conservative). Please explain how the present administration is full of "NeoCons" (not looking for a political debate, just trying to clear the air on this one).
  15. I'm just goiing to play Madden. It's much safer than real life, and I can always quit in the middle of a bad game (kind of like Bledsoe).
  16. Don't mean to sound DOOMED but... They were kind of sketchy on details regarding the Everett injury. And we know how that turned out.
  17. Cowboys training camp is in Oxnard. Heck, I was in Oxnard today. Didn't even realize the statue was in town.
  18. No, I'm talking about a standard mortgage with good rates that you pay down twice a month. It reduces the amount that they can charge interest on, and over time it really adds up.
  19. There are some lenders that can get around PMI with some funky financing. In some cases, they'll take a 15% HELOC. I advise at least a 10% down payment, but there are always creative financing methods.
  20. Umm...it's not terrible advice. I wrote that assuming he refinanced into a better situation. Go read up on bi-monthly payments (50% on the 1st, 50% on the 15th), it's sound advice.
  21. Here's what people who are interested in making money should do. Study the foreclosure market and learn how to do short sales. Right now in the hot markets you probably can't do them...however, when things go south you'll make a boat load of money and save lots of people from having a foreclosure on their record. Something else to look at are making payments bi-monthly. Unless you have some funky mortgage or trust deed (ain't no mortgages out here in the west), paying 50% of your payment twice a month can have huge benefits. In some instances, it can turn a 30 year mortgage into a 22 year mortgage.
  22. Wow. Did that kid throw a haymaker at the bus driver while they were in the back of the bus? That whole bus seemed to be full of trouble makers. I bet they're the offspring of SUV driving, cell-phone talking soccer moms.
  23. I'm working on that. All in good time. It would certainly eliminate my horrendous commute. But I'll take the palm trees.
  24. I've worked for two men in my present business (advertising). I now have a female boss. There is a lot less ego there, and I prefer working for her. She is the second female boss I've had. I gotten along with them famously. Just my .02. There are jerks everywhere, though.
