  1. Is he the "anchor" of that defense, a la Tim Anderson?
  2. Don't mind Mularkey. I certainly don't want Williams back. Give Mularkey some time, geez, you guys are horrible. Now Gray, that guy needs to go.
  3. You renegotiate Williams contract...and then trade him. This is the biggest money problem right here. Try to renegotiate Moulds. I don't see a viable no 2 if Evans vecomes our number 1. I hope Everett turns into a good TE. I am so sick of our scab tight ends besides Euhus and Campbell. Personally, I like Milloy...and I don't mind Vincent. But drafting a SS in the 3rd doesn't sound like a bad idea...as long as we're not converting a linebacker from stanford who is really "smart." I also think a big body DT in FA woiuld help. Doesn't have to be a probowler, just someone who isn't pushed around. I still think Edwards makes a good 3rd down DT. He's more of a pass rusher than a run-stopper. 1st round DT 2nd round LT 3rd round SS If possible, also address the o-line in FA too. Hopefully Peters develops. Seems like a talented kid.
  4. This was only the second game I've watched all season (due to salary cap restrictions, no DTV this year). Anywho, Posey seemed to get stuffed at the line consistently, and our defense seems to over-pursue, putting them out of a lot of plays. There were also a lot of pathethic arm tackles, which resulted in (of course) no tackle. So how high do you think that DT from Oregon will go, and is there a big DT in free agency we'll be able to pick up?
  5. Our D also consistently over-pursues and gets themselves out of position. That has nothing to do with age. That has to do with coaching.
  6. How many end zone balls has Josh Reed dropped? I think it's a lot more than 2. Parrish looked good. Losman had some good looks. Jerry Gray consistently gets no pressure with our blitzes (on the road) and we get picked apart. Last week we faced 2 mediocre tackles and got pressure. Hell, our starting D couldn't even stop the back-up running back. Our D has issues. Draft that big kid from Oregon.
  7. Let's say we win against the Chargers. That's 5-5. Then we lose to the Panthers. That's 5-6. Let's say the Pats win 2 in a row. I sense more doom and gloom.
  8. That's right, saving that kid in Florida wiped the slate clean. Rosenhaus gets good money for his clients, but the way he conducts himself leaves much to be desired.
  9. Here's my response to the Ombudsman: I'll try to make this brief. Your lack coverage of the Patriots/Bills game to make room for the Tedy Bruschi (We're not worthy!) Special: A Modern Football Hero was horrible. Any more gushing over Bruschi (We're not worthy!), and we'd be talking about the stain on the blue uniform. Oh, and BTW, you need new Sunday night commentators...but I'm sure you already knew that. Maybe you can pick up some good ones in the next draft.
  10. Denver uses zone blocking, so I think they're looking for different types than we are (although I'm no expert).
  11. Being a Bills fan is like being addicted to crack. No matter how bad it gets, you still can't manage to say 'no.' However, being a Bills fan won't cause your teeth to fall out.
  12. Here's the thing about Karma. People never assume it's Karma happening to them. THey always assume that after something bad happens, it will catch up to the person, entity, team that caused it. They never seem to comprehend that Karma has just paid them back. As to the positive thinking thing, it works. The rub is you have to actually believe it. If you are seeing the world through rose colored glasses, but secretly thinking the worst is going to happen, well, ain't nothing good going to come of that. Basically, in recent history, as Bills fans we're always wondering how we will lose a game. I bet a lot of the Patriots fans wonder how they're going to win. Just a theory, but I know last night I was thinking about how we would snag defeat from the jaws of victory. Anderson missed his block, Holcomb fumbled, and we did.
  13. Hey, where is the option for Shane Matthews in the poll?
  14. I know Jerry Gray can't be dumb, so I guess I'm confused. Why when what we're doing isn't working do we keep on doing it (blitzing)?
  15. If we do go 5-11, we'll have a decent 1st round draft pick. Let's pick up a nice, huge, athletic DT....and then, surprise of all surprises, an offensive linemean in the SECOND ROUND. Oh boy, that would be the day.
  16. Besides Big Mike, he hasn't drafted an O-lineman before the 4th round for 5 years. I think on the defensive side of the ball we're in much better shape. We need another dominating big body in there like Pat or Ted (or whomever) to complement Sam.
  17. You proved a point. That being everyone finds you annoying and won't read your posts anymore...except me, I'm a slow learner.
  18. Hey, this isn't Tom Donahoe trying to sell more tickets is it? Listen, most of us know we have major problems on the o-line and mediocrity on the d-line...yet the front office seems to do little about it. This causes most normal people to go absolutely f***ing crazy. What are our problems this year? Oh yeah, our d-line and o-line. What were our problems last year? o-line mostly, and a statue quarterback. It's like sticking your finger in a dyke. You fix one problem only to have another one or two pop up. It wasn't the fact we lost yesterday that has most people upset (I think), it's the way we lost. Personally, it was the first Bills game I saw this year and our D is HORRIBLE. It doesn't take a rocket scientist to figure out that we have have the "best" pass defense because everyone runs the damn ball against us. Except for the Raiders, they threw and ran.
  19. If you ask me, people get so ticked off because they invest way too much of their self-worth inito whether the bills win or not. I'm all for the Bills winning, but I'm not about to feel depressed because they lost a stinkin' game.
  20. There's s h i t t y calls in EVERY game. You have to play well enough to ensure your game can't be ruined by a lousy call or three.
  21. This defense played against many sub-par teams last year, thus elevating their stats. Now we're playing better teams, and we're wilting. It's no surprise if you ask me. Perhaps we can open a thread on how stupid everyone else is. It can be moderated by Alaska Darin. Just a thought.
  22. Apparently CV needs a rest too-he's a little winded you see. Hell, let's just rest everybody and play our second stringers.
  23. Why don't all you Sallys wait at least a few more weeks until you turn into Chicken Littles. Gezz...
  24. Falcons 21 Bills 17 Hey, I'm a pragmatist
  25. Well, I think you could look at who played in the middle next to Spikes in Cincinnati, and I bet Spikes had great production there too no matter how untalented the MLB was. Purely looking at his production as a Bill to judge what kind of linebacker he is silly, IMO. For example, if Thurman Thomas had only played one year as a Bill in his prime...he's still freakin' Thurman Thomas.
