  1. I recall the Jacksonville game opener 2 years ago. Coy understands coverages really, really well
  2. I am by no means an expert, but I really like the idea of us running a 2 TE set with Everett and Davis. I would think it would create match-up problems, however it's contingent on have our TE's be able to block as well as they can catch.
  3. Not if they address the line in FA. Davis is a FREAK. I also don't think, and have read, that Tank Williams is not a Cover 2 type safety.
  4. This is exactly what I've been thinking/saying. I prefer Davis first (you gotta draft the physical freak) and Huff second.
  5. That will never happen because of one thing...risk. By that I mean business or financial risk, not personal risk. Those two jobs have fairly high job security. It's the way the world works, so unfortunately, I wouldn't hold your breath.
  6. Their little minds can only conceive of competitive money. The NFL also works with cooperative money, which is why everyone benefits.
  7. I heard the one question he had during the meetings was "Is it Monday?"
  8. Does Huff really have the rep (the good stuff ,not the bad) that a Sean Taylor had in college? I know Taylor was dominating, but I don't get the same sense from Huff. I think Huff is really, really good and won't be upset if we take himhowever, I think Vernon Davis is a FREAK. I mean, I'm trying to think I saw a guy like that. Shannon Sharpe maybe? And if we're into comparisons, would you take Polamalu (Huff) or Sharpe (VD)?
  9. Ok, perhaps some of you missed Marv's comments about how we want faster, smaller D-Linemen. Every where I look I see people saying we're going to draft Ngata. Well, a 338 pound Samoan dude ain't light or very fast for that matter. Unless Marv has no clue what he's talking about (there is always that chance) we're looking for guys who can fly to the ball (a la Lovie Smith defensive style) rather than big 2-gap DT's. So I don't wanna see no more Ngata. Period.
  10. Imagine running a large corporation, having 56% of your nrevenue going to payroll AND your employees demanding more money. THe owners are owners for a reason, they take on the most risk plain and simple. I hope Upshaw wakes up and smells the coffee. There are going to be many unhappy vets if things aren't resolved. We'll see what happens in the next 24 hours. I still won't watch the NHL after the crap pulled last time.
  11. We ain't taking Ngata based on Marv's comments. Davis, Huff or Justice. I think Justice and Huff are great, but Davis is a freak. I don't want a TE, I want OL or DL but that Davis guy is re-damn-diculous.
  12. Yes, but mine had more wit.
  13. Here's my report: Chad Pennington has a 50% chance of staying with the Jets next year, which means it's probable he won't be there next season. But there's a 50% chance this report might be wrong, possibly. In other news, there is a 100% chance that Len Pasquarelli is asleep at the wheel.
  14. Arrghh!!! Don't you guys read what Marv says? We will not be drafting Ngata or any other 2-gap DT. Ain't going to happen. We'll either take Huff or Davis or trade down if possible.
  15. True, but surfing through the stations in Rochester is kind of a limited assortment, you know? And BTW, I should have been more exact and said Webster instead of Rochester
  16. Not having to listen to Bob Matthews on the radio anymore is another reason I'm happy I moved away from Rochester.
  17. Word is Mike Sherman and Jim Bates helped ink the deal.
  18. Mark my words, we ain't drafting Ngata.
  19. Yeah, I know, but as of right now based on the depth chart, that's how it stands. I thought we should all enjoy the moment together.
  20. AP-Buffalo: Today Coy Wire held a press conference stating he was looking forward to being the Bills starting Strong Safety. "I'd like to thank Marv Levy for this opportunity, and I look forward to helping out the Bills organization, especially on passing downs."
  21. To all the people who keep mentioning big, 2-gap DT's...it ain't going to happen. Go read up on what Marv has been quoted as to what the coaching staff is looking for.
  22. You forgot to add that Coy Wire is now our starting SS.
