So, Jason says he wants a new contract. The Bills say, show up and we'll talk. My question is, what is Jason's real motivation? Or should we say Eugene's? If he REALLY wanted a new contract, he'd show up. Now it just looks like he wants the organization to say "uncle." And to Russ Brandon's credit, they ain't going to do that. I was even more disappointed to find out Eugene graduated from Purdue University, my alma mater.

Maybe your memory is a little foggy because I just watched the video (again) and it doesn't look like Lee pulled up to me. Pretty much seems like Lee is outrunning the DB's and didn't slow down. Maybe you should watch the video again, 'cause I don't think your memory is serving you well here.

So it wasn't a great throw because??? Dude hit Lee Evans, in stride, 50 yards downfield for a score. What the heck isn't great about that? Not to mention, Chad Pennington won't make that throw which is kind of the whole undertone to the Trent Edwards negativity (impuning that he has a weak arm similar to a Pennington).

Trent showed arm strength last year when he threw that bomb to Lee Evans in the Miami game. For me, Trent's "arm strength" question was answered then. Not that we're DOOMED, but my problem with this is people say this every year. When we suck in the preseason, people say "Hey, it's just the preseason. Relax." And then people, after we suck during the first game say "Hey, don't worry, it's just the first game." Etc, etc, ad nauseam. So, I myself notice a severe lack of push from the first team even with Stroud in there. Our ends also looked ineffective. It looked eerily similar to last year...and yes, I realize it's just the pre-season but I expected more push in the pocket.

Doesn't look like we're getting a lot of push in the middle.

Well, I think you missed my point, but whatever. This is the Internet, afterall. How exactly do I insult the deep south? Have you ever heard a Creole accent (for example)? Most people have a hard time understanding it. That doesn't mean the person speaking that way is dumb. For you to draw a linear conclusion like that is kinda silly. Next thing you know, you'll be saying I'm trying to argue that McKelvin is from Louisiana. And, I am not Scottish but I did live in Atlanta for 3 years.

Dude is from the deep south. He doesn't enunciate. Has zero to do with intelligence. I have a feeling you wouldn't be able to make it through an interview with someone who has got a heavy Scottish highland accent. Usually they include subtitles with those things for people with listening impediments, though, so maybe you'd be ok.

Perhaps Peters and/or his agent believe "He who talks first losses." That's a basic tenet of negotiating, but it doesn't necessarily work when you're dealing with other people who know negotiating. Plus, Peters has no leverage other than the fact that we're not as good without him. Bills own him for 3 years.
