Adam Schefter: Denver is taking Miller at 2
BEAST MODE BABY! replied to Deep2Moulds46's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Based on pure numbers, what you're saying is true. Based on who is projected to be left by the beginning of round 2, I disagree. Plus, a few of those players you have listed at DE aren't 5 technique guys. -
Adam Schefter: Denver is taking Miller at 2
BEAST MODE BABY! replied to Deep2Moulds46's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'd prefer Dareus because I think it will be easier for us to pick up a better 3-4 OLB in round 2 than it would to pick up a 3-4 DE in round two. -
That was a good read. Am now reading his blog... http://blog.playmakermobile.com/

This thread started by a guy whose screenname is about Spiller, a guy we drafted when we had BOTH Freddie and Marshawn already on the team. Hahahahaha! Buddy uses the BPA formula, especially in the early rounds. Von Miller should be no surprise if drafted. Last year, Spiller was arguably the 7th BPA, which is why we bolted to the podium and grabbed him at 9.

People Tend To Forget Last Year's Picks

Not trying to be pedantic, but did you mean Ipso Facto there? Because I have no freakin' clue what Exo Facto is... -
If the Panthers take Dareus
BEAST MODE BABY! replied to Coach Tuesday's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
First you said this: The bolded part shows where you are wrong. After spending 2 years playing DE, Sherman moved Miller to the 'Jack' position, a hybrid DE/OLB spot. That's when Miller had 17 sacks. When Tim Deruyter instituted a new 3-4 defense, Miller was moved to the 'Joker' position. In the 3-4 in 2010, he was asked to drop into coverage every week. The interception against Texas (by Von Miller) won the game. So, now that we've established that you have ZERO CLUE about Von Miller, let's go onto the next bit... First off, we've already established that A&M ran a 3-4 last year. I see you have an issue with cold, hard facts, but if you don't like where Deruyter had him lined up as a 3-4OLB, call up A&M and complain. Furthermore, I can watch the Nebraska game against Oklahoma State and show that Prince Amukamara had a tough time against that OSU WR, but that doesn't mean he's a bad player. Also, Von Miller was instrumental in stopping Oklahoma in two goalline stands. You got anything else besides the Nebraska game? When Clay Matthews left USC, he was listed at 246 pounds. Last time I checked, Von Miller was 246 without any impact on his speed. They're both 6-3. And you're retarded. Welcome to my ignore list. -
If the Panthers take Dareus
BEAST MODE BABY! replied to Coach Tuesday's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Of course Von Miller said that, why wouldn't he? He also seemed to play 4-3 OLB in the Senior Bowl ok. My comment was regarding people saying he can't play 3-4 OLB, which is the EXACT position he played last year since A&M ran a 3-4 in 2010. -

Von Miller played 3-4 OLB last year for Texas A&M. Anyone who says he can't play that position is wrong. In 2010, against Texas, he made an interception while COVERING a RB. So anyone who says he hasn't covered is also wrong. He's also a similar size to Clay Matthews, who seems to do just fine at OLB. Please God let it be draft day soon so these silly comments can stop. -
Drew Brees was also a hell of a college quarterback...and a top-ranked Texas high school quarterback before he hurt his knee. So, you know, as much as I love Fitz, I find the comparison to Brees highly laughable.

Who is Blaine Gabbert anyway?

I liked the article until they made him out to be General Patton for playing Call of Duty instead of Halo (both are 1st person shooters. Oi.) -
Whoever doesn't want a QB at #3 is dillusional
BEAST MODE BABY! replied to buffalo_bills's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Hypothetically if Cam Newton is there, and hypothetically if we take him, it could mean a run on QB's which might mean a good DLineman could fall to us in round 2. But, we'll see soon. I tired of thinking about the draft. I just want it to be here already. -
I actually like Buffalo Rumblings, but I will say I wasn't a big fan of the TO signing and I was never a fan of Dick Jauron. As a general rule, you should always hire a coach who thinks he can win. Point for Chan on that comparison.

Don't Believe the Hype
BEAST MODE BABY! replied to LancasterSteve's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
How were you surprised? Nix had talked about his strategy of taking BPA, especially in the first round. Spiller was arguably the best player on the board at the time we selected. I didn't think it was a surprise when we took him, especially when combined with Chan's water-bug comment leading up to the draft. -
So what makes you think Buddy was promoted beyond his skill set?

Tweaking DraftTek's New Mock

When I was watching the combine, I was like "That white guy from Arizona looks pretty good." Had no idea who he was, but at least I know now in my next life that I have some minor scouting ability lol -
Forget About a QB this draft and STACK the D
BEAST MODE BABY! replied to LoveTheBills's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It hit me last night like a freight train. If the Bills like Cam Newton's upside, and he's there at 3, they take him. Without hesitation. In fact, they may even break the draft land speed record they set last year when they took Spiller at 9. And after watching Newton, he's got huge intangible's...and it's more than just looking good on camera. He's got swagger. Charisma. The "it" factor. And if Chan can turn Kordell Stewart into something that doesn't suck, imagine what he can do with Newton. Let him sit a year behind Fitzpatrick and groom him into something special. Hell, even Tebow who isn't as impressive as Newton looked good at the end of the year last year. And I think Cam Newton has WAY more upside than Tebow. Plus, a good DL can still be had in the 2nd round. Heyward may even fall that far. Someone will. Those are my $.02. And I'm a guy that has been touting Dareus since about November. -
Can we please stop with this? Dareus played as a 3-4 DE at Alabama. He can play DT on passing downs. But he is a 3-4 DE.

Skooby from Florida sighting...
BEAST MODE BABY! replied to KollegeStudnet's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
That is not correct. He went out of his way to let people know he drove a BMW 745iL. -
37 according to Rotoworld. Technically, that was at his junior day a year ago.

IF Panthers take Newton...what do the Bills do?
BEAST MODE BABY! replied to TH3's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Don't be too freaked out if the Bills take someone like Peterson at 3, but then get a good 5 technique player like Hayward from Ohio State in the 2nd. -
