  1. Oh. I forgot. The preseason is when defensive players try and look the fool by purposely missing on tackling opposing offesive players. BTW, your argument goes both ways...aren't teams playing in vanilla offenses as well? I also think I mentioned Spiller has to learn to apply that during the season. You read that part, right? PS. Aaron Maybin hasn't done squat in the preseason and nothing he has done there would project him to be a ten-sack-a-year player. And don't even think of mentioning his one sack against Pittsburgh either.
  2. Spiller had two great runs in the preseason that made opposing players look stupid. We all know he has talent. He just has to apply that during the season.
  3. Broncos scouted him too, but apparently didn't keep tabs on him. We did.
  4. 24 million for 10,000 square feet? LOL That's $2400 a square foot. Maybe they're planning on moving that thing to Downtown Tokyo for $24 million.
  5. I agree. Tons of bad calls. Even Jerry Gray got screwed on the Beebe touchdown. Though, Warren Moon's interceptions didn't help either.
  6. You seem like the kind of person who would tell a kid who was excited about getting B's that they really should have gotten A's. That's almost the same quote Polian says about Peyton Manning.
  7. I have no idea. You'd have to talk to that station's program director. I listen to Cowherd in LA. They have a Fox Sports station here in LA, but I never really liked Rome. Don't know why. I guess "Rack It" doesn't do it for me.
  8. Most people who didn't grow up in the NE or Canada could care less about hockey. Cowherd runs a national show. You start talking about hockey and 80% of your listeners start changing the dial.
  9. Grew up in Rochester. Now live in LA. I'll take NFL SUNDAY TICKET please with a side of palm trees and a double serving of sunshine. Thank you very much. The only caveat is I had to adopt a second favorite team during the Jauron era in order to preserve my sanity. So I now like the Chargers too. But I just watch the Chargers. I root for the Bills.
  10. Oi. Now Steven A Smith. THAT guy is TERRIBLE. They put him on on the drive home here in LA. If people think Colin C is loud and obnoxious, Steven A Smith makes him look like a minor leaguer. He's so awful, I even e-mailed the 710 ESPN program director and said that I'd turn off the radio every time I heard him until they get someone else less terrible. I'd rather put a drillbit in my temple than listen to Steven A Smith.
  11. I listen to him. I think he's ok. But I don't like Donte Whitner, so it all kind of evens out.
  12. He meant one 10th. Unless, of course, he's now faster than Lee Evans. In which case we got the world's biggest athletic freak in the 7th round.
  13. Every year, people post how you can get in touch with the retention department and get Sunday Ticket for $149ish, sometimes $179. It's all about knowing what to do. It's like going to a car dealer, and thinking they wouldn't budge on their price. Well, go talk to the fleet manager or the Internet sales manager and you'll find a different story.
  14. You will not be charged if there is no season, and you won't be charged until the season starts. Take that to the bank. I have inside info. Don't have info on pro-ration, but it would make sense to do it that way.
  15. That was the funniest thread hijack I've seen in awhile.
  16. Past results are no indicator of future failure.
  17. I'm of the opinion that Nix and company take a longer view of the draft. I think they knew more (and better) quarterbacks would be available next year. They obviously felt Gabbert was not a franchise quarterback. I think they only had Newton as franchise material. I look forward to this upcoming season and what Nix and Co. will do next year in the draft.
  18. I agree. And just for the record, I was a relatively early supporter of the Nix hiring. To me it seemed obvious he's a "football" guy. With regards to Chan, I was severely underwhelmed at first. I wanted some proven Marty ball. However, Chan was a billion times better than Jauron in interviews and I liked what he had to say. Then it didn't take a genius (once Trent was gone) to notice that our offense finally managed to do something. I will also add that I didn't like Edwards as DC and was almost brought to a Jauron-like level of frustration when I would see Chris Kelsay covering tight ends. Anywho, I like where this franchise is going. It feels like there's finally a plan in place. Go Bills
  19. Didn't you guys get the memo? You must be ardent supporters of whomever is in power, until they invariably demonstrate their utter incompetence.
  20. John, Donte didn't happen to make any off-the-record comments about himself and Jesus, did he? Also, I know it's essentially hearsay, but another board member mentioned that Modrak had acquired a reputation as a lazy scout. Any truth to that?
  21. All the fans want is for people to play some damn football, and the fans support this whole shebang. Without the fans, neither the players or the owners have much worthwhile.
  22. What was his old position? It was assistant GM and something else, right?
  23. I can't speak for anyone else, but when I hear a stupid idea I don't exactly embrace it. BTW, did someone hack your account? Your rant almost sounds like a religious fundamentalist.
  24. This may be the worst post I've seen you make. It's like your brain got scrambled during the 3 minutes it took to type it. So I will ignore this travesty and assume from here on out that your posts will make sense again
