  1. By "find" I mean reach over 2 feet and grab it.
  2. But for right now, we're happy just to hear it. Pitchforks are easy to find for later
  3. I mentioned I heard about $179, but I forgot to re-check this thread before I called...forgot that $150 credit is the magic word...doh! Will call again later this week.
  4. In DIRECTV's defense, the legal mentioned it would apply to the 2012 season if there were no season in 2011. BTW, I called today, and the best I was given was a $60 bill credit. And yes, that was with retention. I've only had DIRECTV for about a year now, though.
  5. That is awesome. There's an 80% chance I'll be there.
  6. I hear the Redskins are looking for some new fans.
  7. Rumor also had us taking the MLB from Marshall, who is now reported to be signing with Pittsburgh. Got a link to this?
  8. May you burn in hell for that. Dammit.
  9. You know, upstate New York is very pretty during the summertime. But I am a sucker for palm trees. And SoCal has plenty of that for me
  10. John Wawrow. AP reporter. And caller out of trolls
  11. I have it on the PS3, and there are a couple of VERY frustrating things with this game... 1) Things were supposed to just be an evolution this year, but they changed the way you control players on offense. You used to be able to use the arrow keys to control players...this year only the left toggle stick works. Very frustrating when you are used to the old way and the reviews for the game don't mention that things are different. I count that as a major change. They also introduced a speed button again (R2). No mention of that either. 2) There is no booklet now. It's an online PDF thingy. They say it's to save paper. I say it's them being cheap, knowing they've laid off a whole bunch of people here in LA. 3) They STILL haven't fixed the glitch where 60% of the time, the clock doesn't stop when a player goes out of bounds. What, this doesn't come up in beta testing? Oi. Really EA? A pox on you. 4) One thing that has always annoyed me, is that when a defensive player's back is turned, I should be able to pass the ball without him magically turning around and knocking it out of the air. Especially when that defensive player is covering a different offensive player. That irks the crap out of me. Seems to happen a little less, but still happens. One MAJOR improvement... One the defensive side of the ball, players don't suck onto you when you run by them. They actually have to disengage from their blockers. Makes the run game WAY more important...and way easier to do proficiently. Also, the players are smarter in zone, so it's harder to pass the ball. Sometimes they're too smart, and make ridiculously impossible pass breakups. Overall, a better game than last year, but with some really annoying things that shouldn't have made it to the game this year.
  12. Enough with all this Merriman talk. I think we're all forgetting about Aaron Maybin.
  13. Working at an ad agency, I hear idiotic comments like that all the time. Usually they're from the client. There is absolutely no context in that ad for domestic violence, except in regards to football. The councilman is a maroon.
  14. So who's to say Merriman hasn't switched to HGH? NFL doesn't test for that. How much would that change things?
  15. My favorite part of the draft was Nix (pre-draft) talking about how you don't get too excited about falling in love with "your guy" because once that player gets taken by someone else, you're upset. Then, in the Buffalo Bills draft room news coverage, it shows Nix pumping his arm after the Broncos took Von Miller. Don't tell me Nix isn't excited about Dareus. Guy is a beast.
  16. I think you are forgetting that you can multi-level parking garages to alleviate some of your available parking space concerns.
  17. In order to make a stadium really successful, you need to make it pedestrian friendly/accessible. Look at what the Padres did in San Diego. That place is awesome and right in the Gas Lamp district. That old railyard doesn't seem to be within walking distance. And you're asking people to take an extra step to get there (train, tram, whatever).
  18. This team's offense was orders of magnitude better with Gaily as the OC/Head Coach. I don't remember many moments on offense where I was pulling my hair out. Now, with Chris Kelsay lined up covering tight ends and wide receivers...that made me pull my hair out.
  19. Well, rumor had it last year that the NFL was blackballing him due to the incest charges. That the commish let it be known to NFL teams that they were to stay away from him. I never heard any criticism of his play, just praise. Doesn't me it didn't exist, just that people had a lot of god things to say about him (size, athleticism, arm length, foot speed, etc).
  20. Um, no, because I'm not a scout. I'm a dude on the Internet who likes the Buffalo Bills. How much film have you seen of him? The world is full of opinions, but after his performance at the combine I heard at least one person (could have been Mayock) say that he had first round talent.
  21. He was projected as a second, possibly late first round pick based on talent and athleticism, so I'm not sure exactly what your point is.
  22. Good luck to him. There are NFL players who have killed people, so you know, the fact he was given the cold shoulder was a little hypocritical.
  23. So, you know, it's obviously pure coincidence that they decided to play Marshawn and then traded him a few games later. Especially after Marshawn sat out the beginning of camp. Damn, I should have read that Glazer report before I posted. /sarcasm.
  24. It was obvious to most the Bills were showcasing him for a trade. Not that hard to figure out, really.
  25. He's at a McDonald's in his Solus Performance Training shirt LOL
