Jasper needs to continue to make improvements. But there is potential there.

A few times, they had Jasper and Heard lined up together as DT's. THat's a lot of man right there. Jasper gets great push, but (like someone pointed out) he's not good at disengaging from blocks yet. Then again, Troup wasn't last year either. And like others pointed out, Heard impressed me too. He shot off the ball and beat the guard on his sack. That was impressive. There was one play where Jasper followed the runner on play action and could have leveled the quarterback if he had sniffed it out. Jasper was held/hands to the face on the Williams interception. Once Jasper improves his technique and stops thinking/starts reacting, he could be very, very good.

Urbik looked slow to me numerous times. Got blown up on that one play with Spiller. On the Spiller screen, other O-Linemen were coming up to block. Urbik was a few steps behind. Also, Johnny White looks really good. David Martin missed horribly on a backside block on a White run. We are starting to build some depth at skill positions on this team. But our Oline is the weakest part. Also, on the Bears TD, I think it was Spencer spun to get upfield and we lost containment and the QB ran in. It's preseason though. We'll keep improving. And Dareus is simply awesome.

Kelsay was horrific last year. In the beginning of the season. Covering a TE? Are you freaking kidding me George Edwards? Then, towards the end, he actually made a few plays. I know, I couldn't believe it myself. I haven't watched the game yet, but I am still hoping it's his last year.

C'mon, we all know that Maybin is gone. The only one who doesn't know is Aaron himself. And maybe Lavar Arrington.

Maybin must be turning the corner. His last tweet was July 19th. And yeah, he's as good as gone. Nix and Gailey love big guys who are fast. Maybin is small and looks like James Hardy out there. And he's going to get cut just like Hardy was too.

This IS NOT a make or break year for Gailey. Next year, maybe. But this team, under this regime, has not even drafted a franchise quarterback yet. This whole operation is a total rebuild in arguably the toughest conference in the NFL. Gailey did more with this offense in one year than that Dick did in 3 1/2 years. Man, the retard rodeo started early this year.

That is true. But he didn't play tackle at that point. He was a TE. Also, how many news stories about Peters were there? It's hard to keep a low profile on a 390 pound NT. I've seen at least a few stories on him. Plus, people will see him playing NT during the preseason. And he will own the opposing 3rd string guys I am pretty certain.

I still think Jasper makes the final 53 man roster. You can't let a guy like that hit waivers. WAY too much upside.
