I wasn't impressed at all either, but until they actually play their first regular season game, all bets are off. The one thing I can honestly say is and the fact of the matter is it is true, we do need Jason Peters to come back and play LT for us. If he doesn't come back and play for whatever reason this year, our OL could struggle overall, especially against pass rushing DE's. Next game I would like to see Trent Edwards play the entire first half. He threw a nice pass on a deep out to Parrish but other than that, our offense seemed very conservative all game and that's alright during the preseason. I am glad we drafted Hardy because it is clear that he could really help our passing game this year.

I have been to 4 NFL stadiums. Soldier Field in Chicago, Dolphin Stadium in Miami, Arrowhead in Kansas City and the MetroDome in Minnesota. As loud as it was at Arrowhead, I still think the Metrodome was the loudest stadium that I have been too.

The thing about Clements was that he got a contract that the Bills were not willing to pay which 49ers did. Would they have resigned him if he wanted less money? I'm not sure. The bottom line is if the Bills front office likes him and he's their guy that they want to target and eventually draft, I think this could be a good and potentially very good pick.

I respectfully disagree. While CB is not our biggest need overall, it certainly is a need and if the Bills really like McKelvin and he's there, why wouldn't we get draft him?

Devin Thomas is going for a visit in Chicago Friday.

I agree. I wouldn't pull the trigger earlier to get him. If the KC trade has some truth to it that was reported on the board earlier I wouldn't panic, make the trade and get the guy that you want at #17. Chicago wants an OT from what I've heard. -
In retrospect doesnt the Lynch pick seem obvious?

Good point. If remember correctly, many wanted Patrick Willis or to trade up for Adrian Peterson. However, several are right, it certainly worked out for the best. -
I respectfully disagree. A very good pass rusher is something that every team would love to have. Jared Allen is one of the top pass rushing DE's in the league. This was a risky move, no doubt, but one that I would have made as well. This guy is a proven pro bowl player and will get a lot of one on one matchups this year because of Kevin Williams and Pat Williams.

I apologize for today. I like your pick that you choose for Indi. I was going to pick DT Bryant but Laws is good.

Malcolm Kelly Reggie Smith Martellus Bennett -
Kelly runs another bad forty time today

If he's still around at 41 and we pick a DE or CB with our first pick, I would strongly consider drafting him with our 2nd round pick. -
We can't fix everything with this draft
BB2004 replied to Nick in RaChaCha's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I agree somewhat with this, however if you can move down an extra 4 or 6 spots and still target the WR you want plus get an extra second or third rounder, I think you have to make the deal. An extra second or probably third would provide depth at any of the needed upgrades (TE,DE,CB). -
I think at this point I would seriously think about trading down to get more picks if someone wants to trade up to get Harvey. Their first rounder and a second rounder preferably, or their first rounder and a third and a fifth would be alright.

How do you like THIS Bills mock!?
BB2004 replied to lets_go_bills's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
While I think this is a good draft, I think Malcolm Kelly will be taken before the 41st pick and Martin Rucker will be taken before the 132st pick. -

I'll take Indy -
While it looks as if he could be a really good player, I think we could use this to address our other needs, like WR,CB and TE. If we feel that he is the best player available and is going to be an excellent player at right guard, then draft him because he's probably going to be a good player. However, I am for taking a WR, CB or trading down for more picks.

Bruce was an amazing player for the Bills. I think it's interesting him talking about the 3-4 defense. I remember when we got Ted Washington that helped the defense against the run and created opening for some of the other guys. When Bruce was getting double teamed in 1995, Bryce Paup would come around the corner. Bruce I think had 10.5 sacks that season and Paup had 17.

ESPN's Matt Mosley calls Kelly at 11 a 'lock'
BB2004 replied to The_Real's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
It would be nice if we could trade down a few spots, pick up an extra pick in the third or fourth round maybe and still be able to take Malcolm Kelly. -
It takes the pressure off of management to take a safety earlier in the draft. I think this was a good decision to resign Scott.

If Doug Flutie had started that game...
BB2004 replied to RayFinkle's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Well, I guess that was on your mind. I still feel that was the worst loss in Buffalo Bills history. It was truly the end of that era with the beloved players that we still had from our super bowl teams. It was incredibly sad and for years I've had bad feelings about that game. We'll never know if Doug Flutie would have started that game what would have happened. But the way the entire thing went down during that week and throughout the game until the final play with special teams was painful. -
It really depends on the draft. If we take an offensive player as our first pick other than Peterson if for some reason he is there, then our defense will look worse than last year. The 0-8 is not out of the question if we don't address our linebacker, cornerback and defensive tackle situation. I think 3-5 or 4-4 seems more likely.

I am convinced Patrick Willis is the draft pick
BB2004 replied to Pete's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think you could be right, unless we picked Paul P from Penn State. -
I agree with that. That was one of the worst feelings after the Tennessee playoff game that I can remember and then our off season just added to it.
