  1. This board is built for running players and coaches out of town. Thank goodness most of the players don't read the opinions of this place. The mob mentality of here and on the airwaves is amazing. If the internet was around in the late 60s /early 70s we would have run OJ out of town with his 697, 488 and 742 yards from 69, 70 and 71. we would have him labelled a bust, wasted pick, a reach at #1. I'm not defending Marshawn actions and he has had some curious moves over the last 2 years, but honestly, with instant media, we make knee jerk reactions to something as simple as missing a day of practice and we are shipping a decent player out for a box of used jock straps. Thankfully none of us here are actually involved in running this team, it would be a nightmare.
  2. No, he gave them a 20 dollar bill with his signature
  3. I thought you became a Dolphins fan....nevermind
  4. It was a heads up move by airline personnel to check the mislabeled packages....
  5. Maybe 3 people on this board know this about me, but I have worked in the futures industry for 28 years, from Compliance, to IT to product development and clearing. Over the course of my career there has been several attempts to launch this contract. For the life of me, I cannot figure out how they plan on setting a starting value for each strip, I haven't read the specs yet, but how would they set a value on something like Avatar vs. Blair witch project ? Do they look at gross opening weekend, or cost vs. opening receipts? Certain movies have a boatload of advertising, while others have very little. The only hedge I can see is the studios and the stars who can hedge against their opening weekend. I have spent most of my years in the softs (actual products like corn/sugar/coffee) where time, weather, disease, transportation costs, and storage charges factor into the value of an underlying contract. With movie openings I see very little indication that the factors surrounding a movie are anything more than man-made advertising or hype. This just seems ripe for manipulation. This one has me shaking my head and I have seen some very bizarre contract launches in the past.
  6. Udderly ridiculous
  7. I thought it was about Heintzes missing cooler... Really, I liked the movie, the best was my daughter saw it and kinda changed her snarky attitude about being grown up, call it cheesy or formulatic, I liked it and is scared the bejesus out of my 16 year old, so two thumbs up for me.
  8. Wow, you really are old!
  9. I spoke with KJ this morning she is sending as soon as it is verified that she sits closest to the beer concession.
  10. Don't get ahead of yourself, he deserves the induction, lets just leave it at that, after all he is the hoary one.

  16. I miss Bob Lamb, I just hope he didn't become a Chargers fan, If so, I request that a California based board member lay a Stratton on him
  17. I cannot beleive that I actually agree with beersphere on this topic, count me in!
  18. So do we...
  19. Possible souring of relations on the horizon? Looks like a contract timing issue, combined with the bpossible work stoppage implications, but comparing Kraft's stance to Colts owners stance is interesting
  20. I saw it on that Spike TV show "1000 strangest ways to die" , some drunk had his wife give him a vodka enema, and since it doesnt process through the liver, the guy was whacked out of his skull and he died from acute alcohol; poisoning.
  21. Teds is pretty good, I have been to the one in Atlanta a few times and recently went to the one here in NYC. The appetizers are pretty good, the steaks are fantastic, the only bad experience was I ordered shrimp once as a side while in Atlanta, and it tasted funny, I asked him to throw it back on the grill, I took another bite and just finished my steak and left em. The bartender asked why I didnt finish and I told him they were bad, he took them off the bill without me asking. ( I didnt care, I would have been reimbursed anyway). Nice atmoshere as well.
  22. No, only canadians around here
