  1. Doesn't this happen all the time? Is it really newsworthy?
  2. Wait until the pics and video are published, 6 ex-cons taking turns on you while you snooze away. www.poojer-nap-time.com
  3. Cellar Smeller
  4. Just get rid of Bill Cowher as a pitchman, he is distracting and the commercials look like grade school kids put them together, horrible, makes me turn the channel every time.
  5. That is a cool map, I'm going to save that link, very good information
  6. Pretty cool video of inner city skiing in Detroit, I know Exiled in Illinois may want to pop in
  7. I remember being off for roughly 2 weeks, the snow was piled up for months. Within the first 3 days we were going stir crazy and my Dad said the maintenance guy for his building (Holling Press on Washington Street) needed to go downtown to check on the boilers and pipes. My Dad asked if I wanted to go (I think he just wanted to give everyone a break and get rid of me for a few hours). It was so cool floating down Delaware Ave from Kenmore straight downtown in the old guys big Cadillac, almost like a boat going down a river. There were very few cars other than plows and emergency vehicles. We were stopped around Gates circle and Arnold (the old guy) said we were going to check the boilers and pipes, the cop let us go and we continued on. Once we got there it dawned on me that the reason they sent me was, Arnold was well into his 60's and I was 16, someone was going to have to shovel out the bay doors to get into the building and that was going to be me. After getting into the building Arnold poked around, checked his pipes and boiler and we walked around making sure everything was secure, after that we just floated back up Delaware to Kenmore and I was delivered to my parents house. Besides shoveling and snowball fights, I don't think I made it out of the house for the next 10 days.
  8. Since she is so deeply rooted with family, another photo idea would be a coffee table book with the photos from the various vacations and locations she has gone with the kids/grandchildren. Collect as many as possible and Shutterfly will let you arrange them in various ways across the pages. You can get creative and add captions and themes and you can produce it in a hard cover book. You could also make a companion calendar with favorite shots, using birthdays and wedding anniversaries as the subject for the different months. These can be created on line and delivered within a week or so.
  9. There was a thread earlier this season about the behavior at the Ralph, I am ashamed of some of the antics that go on, and I don't consider myself an old man, I love to have my beer and have a good time, but the trash talking and tormenting of opposing fans is getting out of hand. When we were in New Orleans, I was impressed with how the fans treated us, I wish I could bring opposing fans to the Ralph and not have to worry that some douche nozzle will ruin a good time.
  10. Even though I grew up in Buffalo, I have lived in Long Island for 32 years, I came out as Yonkers, Newark/Patterson and New york.
  11. I think we all have hit some "less than stellar" women once or twice, just don't make it a habit
  12. 2014 to do list: Pay off mortgage, pay off any debts. upgrade season tickets Buy a Winnebago, disappear until next season, be Kenny for a year and attend all home and away games 2015 and beyond: Random acts of charity every day
  13. I have noticed that too, I have made the same comment before, whether in person or on TV he seems to float them rather than fire them in there. I don't know if that is the result of coaching or his preferred delivery method, but I am always holding me breath waiting for it to land.
  14. chunks of dead prostitutes
  15. to breathe in deeply and.....
  16. Were you raised by the state? Did you get visits from Child protective services? Just kidding I grew up about 50 yards away from the original Watsons on Delaware Avenue in Kenmore. Back in the day, it was a restaurant/coffee shop with a simple candy counter. As the candy side expanded, they opened up in the storefront next door. The smells of that place were incredible. After the Father passed away, one son got the established restaurant/coffee shop, the other (Jim) got the candy side and has done extremely well and has expanded to other locations in the area but still kept the same quality I remember as a kid. I was raised on Watsons for all major (chocolate) holidays (Christmas, Easter, valentines day). It would be interesting to see what percentage of their products /profits come from ex-pats like myself who order on the holidays for their "home style" chocolates.
  17. I relish the opportunity to honor the man who put his wieners in more mouths than any collection of porn stars could have accomplished in 50 years.
  18. I would try Watsons, each year I end up ordering over 10 boxes of sponge candy as well as other items (chocolate covered popcorn)
  19. Canadian airline comes up with an awesome surprise for travelers I feel bad for the guy that asked Santa for socks and underwear
  20. BuffaloBill does NOT smell like a diaper fire
  21. Prayers to you and your wife, hang tough and stay positive and supportive of her.
  22. This beer smells funky
  23. Steve O is named after what he produces in women
  24. As a kid I loved the anticipation of what might be under the tree, tip toeing down the stairs to do a bit of recon before creeping back up, avoiding the third step and it's telltale squeak. Waiting for my siblings to stir, getting the dog riled up so they woke up whether they wanted to or not. Going into my parents room and gently trying to get my Dad to wake up, slowly trying to pull his eyelids up to see if he is awake, (warn 5 year old fingers usually would wake him up). Once he was awake, we had to wait for what seemed like months while Mom made coffee and Dad lumbered around filling the stockings and drinking the Brandy we left out for Santa (Dad said he was lactose intolerant and the brandy helped settle his stomach from all the cookies). When everything was ready, we had to let my little sister descend the staircase first since we had run her over in years past, going through the packages like Rosie O'Donnell at a buffet. Those were my favorite memories of Christmas. Now my favorite part of Christmas now is giving to my kids and friends, seeing the joy of little ones as they unwrap gifts is awesome. The downside is the commercialism that crowds out Thanksgiving and turns Late October through December into a selling season.
