That seems to be a recurring theme, as we get closer I expect we will jump back and forth from the various super highways to see the attractions. If we are retired and have no definite schedule, time is not an issue. My first thought is we would start in a rental car from Chicago, drive one way covering the route and then take the California Zephyr from Sacramento to Denver and fly home from there. Give ourselves a decent cushion to allow for the train/flight connections and just enjoy the drive.

We were kicking around some ideas for a vacation. Watching some different documentaries and came across "Passport to the world : Route 66" and wondered if anyone has done the drive from Chicago to Santa Monica via the old route 66. Lots of interesting restaurants and nostalgic sites along the way. Anyone tried it? Is it worth the drive? Tips for best things along the way?

I went to college and played volleyball with George Santos, obviously I was the backup as his skill set was so incredible that he took up two positions on the court any time he was out there. Sadly he played in 26 of the 22 games we played, so I really never had a chance to show my stuff.

I will use the air fryer on occasions when we have a smaller group. I find if you spray the wings with a little avocado oil on them, you can get a nice crisp skin, with juicy insides. I still use my double deep fryer for larger groups.

I am coming in for the game, just not sure if I can make it by 10. Count me out for a spot, but I will be by at some point.

Funny, it seems the Chiefs tickets don't seem to have been offered for sale yet. All the seats are available, yet "Code required" is displayed when you try to select a seat.
