  1. Not due for parole until June 2017
  2. Didnt see this coming, this is the son of a guy I work with. He has 2 gold medals, good kid, and he has a sense of humor, talked about turf toe problems with team doctors.
  3. I got mine a few months ago, I think the price was about the same, but I checked to see if I could get better seats through the link. For some reason it kept saying that there were no seats available at any level. Either way I am heading there the Thursday before, arriving Friday AM. After the game we will do a tour of Ireland, coming home on Halloween.
  4. I watched him at USC, he is a gamer and does take his shots which can draw a flag. It would be interesting to see what they think they can get for him, Solid player, but at what cost?
  5. Hot Nymphomaniac heirs to the Molson brewing dynasty would suffice.
  6. We have leftovers from previous jobs, 401K and 403B at current jobs. Wife has a modest pension from a hospital from years ago.As for the original question, How much is enough? It depends on the life and location that you are in. I think if I move out of New York state we will be fine. By lowering our overhead, I hope to improve our future. To that end we bought a house last year on a golf course situated on a lake in South Carolina. Property taxes go from 14,000 to 1,300 per year. If we move from Long Island to SC as primary residence, I could rent/buy a simple place in Buffalo for June-October/November and then head south for the winters.
  7. Guest performers from the Sundowner from Noon to 12:30 Seriously, great information Jay, Any additional info on the London tickets? I specifically asked about tickets for the game and my rep said I am on the list, but don't expect too much. I ended up buying them just in case, but if better become available I would consider upgrading. Rebates on the card is a nice perk. 2% rebate covers 1 beer per seat, but its a start Could they offer activities inside the gates to attract/induce people into the stadium earlier. For example, some stadiums have a larger footprint to allow for additional events/activities inside the security gates. It would mean expanding the gates outward to take up some of the parking lot, but it would allow them to screen people and have them in a beer garden/ band shell kind of area (look at NY Jets stadium and others) Within that area, have Billy Buffalo firing off a t-shirt cannon and mix in a signed jersey now and then and you would have some people coming in. Call it the picnic zone, allow for an area adjacent to the stadium where you can be screened for security, but not sent to your seats (Miami stadium upper deck food courts) Have events (band/Pre game show). That way people waiting in line are distracted and those inside are entertained and have someplace to hang out instead of their seats (where they will be for 3 hours)
  8. That only works for a few years.......
  9. So it seems she is very cautious, Christian, not a music fan and possibly prudish. That doesn't mean she is a total loss. Check out a few meetings with her, see if there is some common ground. If there is, you will know it, if not, she may have some friends who have less of a moral compass. It doesnt hurt to check it out. Its better than baking cookies on a Saturday night.
  10. Hey, that's nun of your business

  16. My father is the artist for all of those covers from the early days. He got $35 per drawing, plus he did some of the artwork inside the programs. As a kid I would watch him drawing the next cover and since we shared the same name, he would hide his (our) signature in the drawing to see if I could find it. He wouldn't put it in until the final version. He was a salesman for Holling press, and he handled the account for the bills programs until he left. Every Thursday he would bring home this weeks program. I had a full set from around 1967-1974 as well as several random ones from the early 60s. I went away to college, and Mom decided to clean up......they were all gone.

  21. They should check their facts, "When Taft left office, Pauline didn't transition to the Democrat-led Wilson administration. Instead, she retired quietly to her ancestral homeland of Wisconsin as the last cow to ever live at the White House." What about Elenor Roosevelt?
