Not again..... -
We were in South Carolina picking up my daughter at the end of Junior year. I had my F 150 and near the apartment she was in, was a crater size pothole, I hit it while turning, and did some damage, real bad sound when you made a turn, not too bad when driving straight, but I knew it wasn't going to go 12 hours back to NY. I rolled into Goodyear in Columbia SC. and the guy looked at the plates, put it on the lift and made me wait like an expectant father.... When he comes back in, he goes into a list of parts that have to be replaced, bearings, tie rod, shocks (gotta do both!) and a bunch of other stuff. He said he could get it done for $1700. He figured I had no choice. I called a guy from here on TBD (NH Billsfan) who works for the parts department at a Ford dealership in New England, he said "no way the parts match up with what you described, they are trying to screw you". So I thanked the guy and walked out without a plan. I drove it for another day, but the wife and daughter were driving it home and I was scheduled to fly. They stayed for the next day and I just randomly picked a name out of the hat in a town we had recently bought a home. The woman listened to the issue, asked us to bring it in. Since we had some of the issue already diagnosed she gave a ballpark figure, but said she couldn't be sure till her guys looked it over. The ladies take the truck over and drop it off, the woman calls back and says she can do it for $225, it needed a tie rod. I said go for it. She called me back an hour later and said it was only $188 since the mechanic didn't take as long as they figured. I almost dropped the phone. It turns out, they were transplants from the Green Bay area, just wanted to get out of the cold and work till retirement. I just pray they are still down there when we eventually move!

Life gets tougher every day (Episode #627)

Sadly, I don't live far from this community cited in the article. Talk about bags of snot. These kids have never been told "No". They entitled little snots who all got participation ribbons, played little league where they didn't keep score, everyone of them is the perfect child......I will go sit on my porch and yell at kids on my lawn now -
Have a great birthday!

I live on Long Island about 432 miles from the stadium. I have had my seasons since 1982. I can only make a few games a year and I am one of those terrible people who may sell a game if I cannot find anyone to take them. Unfortunately, ticketmaster does not have an option that says "Sell to Bills fans only" so while I am encouraged to use the Bills official reseller, there is no way for me to keep out rival fans. Farther up thread, some mentioned the December tickets that are near impossible to get rid of, will the Bills reimburse me for those?, If they are worried about losing a few dollars that I may gain on an early season game, I'd be more than happy to let them have the profit above list price if they will do the same for the December games when I lose 90% of the tickets value. I take a risk when I buy them, that is on me, but they should not be able to limit my access to tickets just because of my location.

I work in Manhattan, as of 9:00 MA we don't have any snow, although they keep saying it is coming, I came in from Long Island, we had coastal flooding, but no snow. -

When I was a kid, about 6 years old, a nice old guy down the street would keep an eye on us from his enclosed porch. He seemed like he was 100 years old, but I would guess he was in his late 80's. Anyway, goofing around with one of those 10 cent balsa gliders, mine goes up and lands on the roof of his porch. Everyone else kept playing and eventually we all had to go home. Mr. Bliss (the old guy) came over the next day while I was at school and gave my mother this stupid glider he had retreived from the roof of his porch! He had climbed out the window, scuttled across the roof to get it from the gutter and bring it back. That was Kenmore in the 60's. I assume now my parents would have been sued for allowing me out and damaging his gutter with the glider. -
Nice potatoes

We used to get the same thing in Kenmore, at night, after swimming in industrial strength cloronated pools all day.

Buffalo doc probably looking for new career
Guffalo replied to Guffalo's topic in Off the Wall Archives
Yes, but when you or I make a mistake, chances are nobody dies from our mistake, the widow's documented that they asked the doc to recheck several times and he basically blew them off. When another doctor (Coroner) told him they guy was still alive, only then did the young doc step in and resume treatment. -
But wait...I thought the Broncos had Chad Kelly to take them to the next level? Why would they screw up his progress by signing an overpaid washed up QB (Sarcasm off). I had heard that Kelly was supposed to have something, what is his next step? CFL, XFL?
