Ok, if I can recall this correctly, it was a game they played way back where for a charuty event, people would bake cakes and donate them. The for every "walk" there would be maybe 20 spaces, and 20 people, each paying a dollar. The people would walk around the spaces and then stop on a number, they would then draw a number out of a hat, the winner "takes the cake". This was like 40 years ago at a church bazaar (Mount St. Marys in Kenmore), I was just a little kid, but I never remember ever winning any frickin cakes

Marginal Fans Upset with Drew's Success
Guffalo replied to JohninMinn.'s topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Absolutely not!!!!! How can MM properly make decisions for the team in that fashion? Ask ice, by sitting in a bar in Tulsa, he is able to see that JP needs to get in now or all winning seasons for the Bills will be postponed for each missed start. You hit it right on the head! MM and the coaching staff see JP every day, they know what he is capable of and they have a pretty good idea what his knowledge of the game is when he is in the team meetings and film sessions. You have to trust the coaches on this one. JP will get plenty of time under center when he is ready, have a little patience and let the coaches evaluate the talent. -
Is it really the line that makes the QB? Or...
Guffalo replied to ICE's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
IMO, the reason the new Qbs are desirable is one I have stated several times whenever I stopped joking around. That is Fre agency has made the tandard, pocket passer extinct. Because no team is willing to sign long term big money contracts to lineman, a mobile QB is desirable. Look at the late 80's,early 90's, The Bills had a solid line, that was allowed to jell together, they played several years together and were a very close knit group, even with injuries, a new guy could step in, and in the case of a free agent signing, we had depth, and we just moved on.. Kelly was never considered a mobile QB, he could take his time and pick apart a defense. Fast forward to today, because of the salary cap, the offensive lineman are frequently seen changing teams because most teams will not keep a line together for a 3-5 year period. It just costs too much to keep a group together. Those Bills teams were built with a strong cohesive offensive line that was working together for 3-5 years, and if one took off or retired, the replacement just stepped in. Todays QB must be mobile enough to step up or roll aout away from pressure since the units are not quite as polished as they were several years ago, thus we see the success of McNabb, Culpepper, Favre and Vick, while pure pocket passers like Blesdoe, Green and Collins/Gannon have looked to be on the decline. Just my opinion -
This is puzzling that an entire city...

I agree completely, although I am not familiar with Norwgian prostitutes, If we look at the long term course of action for this team, it is apparent that Drew must go. That doesn't mean we aren't Bills fans, it's just that at this point, his skillset has diminished from 10 years ago. Although he may be our best chance to win now (this week, next week) we should be planning for the future. That means an investment in JP Losman. Losman can take every snap in practice, but until he takes the red shirt off, he will not be gaining the needed experience to lead the team in the coming seasons. The folks at OBD understand this, but they also have marketing and financial concerns that cloud their judgement. Wins and even the slightest playoff hopes means dollars. If Drew is the "Gives us the best chance to win" thats who we will see starting. I think before it is all said and done, we will see JP start a game or more this year, thats not a knock on Drew, nor is it a condemnation of him as a person or as an athlete, it's just his time as a starting QB in this league has passed. To directly answer the question "How did the city turn n him?" We didn't turn on him, At the time he was signed, he was an upgrade over our QB corp at the time, but in the past 2 years his skills have declined and so has our support. Just as when you buy a new car, you love it, but after a while, after the thing starts to fall apart, you start looking at alternatives. We are now in a position to move forward from that the current Qb situation, moving forward we would like to thank you Drew for bridging the gap from RJ/DF era to the JP era, but your time is up, please assist in preparing our new QB, and if possible, stick around for another year just in case he needs an experienced QB to lean on. -
Try it with a light Bernaisse sauce

Well, the hope and the dream is that really knowledgeable fans who know more than the coaching staff, GM or the rest of the stadium will be seated there to enable the players to draw from their acute insight into the game as it unfolds around them. These "wizards in the box" as they will be called will be representatives who have shown staunch support through thick and thicker, withdrawing said support during the lean times. It will be these masterminds who can point to their continued involvement in the fortunes of the teams since they only will come to the stadium or within 500 miles of the stadium when the team has a winning record. We can only hope that Ralph has the sac to implement this innovation to secure the Bills continued presence in WNY.

Gee, amazing that Dan Snyder would be interested in additional premium seating for home games. I guess that pay to go to training camp didnt work out all that well.

I saw a peice with Sumner Redstone talking about how they will never make it, I am so tempted to sell, I was in Aug 27, just waiting and praying.....

ice, you have eloquently stated your case for why we as Bills fans are idiots for following a team that is run by a cheap mother f**&%^king owner, and idiot GM and a head coach that is part of a conspiracy to move the team to LA. Littered throughout your numerous posts about how those patrons who have attended games, purchased tickets , parking and souveneirs, who are causing this team to fall farther back into the the doom and gloom of 2-12 seasons for many years to come. By feeding the team money and supporting them, even by cheering when they score, we as Bills fans are acting like trained monkeys in supporting Tom Donahoe and Ralph Wilsons quest for the west coast. While you sit in a bar in Oklahoma, sipping beers that are no way financially related to the Bills marketing machine (Lone star beer is not an NFL sponsor) We poor souls with so little insight ruin our team by supprting them win or lose. If all NFL fans were to take your advice, by non-support of teams with losing records, after week 1, half of the stadiums in the NFL should be empty, since half of the teams lost the previous week. Am I missing something? Ohh, by the way, Why did you come to the opener, knowing that Bledsoe was the starter? Did he suck in September? Why did you pay for parking? Did you buy anything at the gift shop? Well I guess you are part of the problem too.

Well, there were all those invitations for you to go to hell.....

My wife doesnt even know, my son is still trying to see what I put in there, but some ingredients include chili powder, worsteshire sauce, ear wax, garlic powder, black pepper, and some other stuff, including flour which allows for a less slippery sauce. After cooking the wings, sauce them, and then keep them covered for at least two minutes, that allows the sauce and flour to really soak in and adhere to the wings.
