And someone else posted that if the Bills left Bufflao, they would not have anything left to live for. To me that sounds like a clinical psych problem that should lead to counseling, or more intense intervention....

Actually, for the last couple years he's had a very good inside move. He rushes upfield through the LT for a couple steps, then stops on a dime and turns 40-60 degrees to his left, right into the QB. It not an initial burst to the inside, but it has been effective.

I think "cocky" is the word you're looking for....

No problem. Sorry to mock you, but that cracked my up. Seriously, Ralph is doing all he can to say he'd like to keep the Bills in the area and warn he may not be able to. If ever there was a way to solicit local offers.... The only down side is that he is doing so much to stress the financial hardship, he might actually be scaring away potential buyers. If he can sway the league, then he will have hit a home run and I'm sure he'll get offers. Personally, I suspect his family will sell the team shortly after he passes, likely to the highest bidder.

"What plans YOU would make if you were Ralph Wilson after he dies...." If I were Ralph after he died, I'd just let the chips fall where they may. Before then, I'd start dropping hints in the media so other potential owners might contact me to make an offer....

Schobel has 10 forced fumbles to go with his 33 sacks in the last three seasons, with a below-average D-Line next to him. He is very consistent and well-rounded, doing everything from hurrying/sacking QBs to falling back into zone-blitz coverge regularly. Especially since he's not getting a bank-breaking salary, he really is great addition to our team.

LAMP - I'm going to Lambeau Sunday
Matt in KC replied to EZC-Boston's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I'd definitely vote against your McNabb jersey. I'd wear your favorite jersey regardless of who's playing. Wear your Bills jersey with pride - - you might well meet other Bills fans, or at least be able to tell us what others say to you about the Bills. EDIT: Okay, I'm a moron. I missed that this was a poll (what I get for posting on a work break). I voted for your Pason Peters jersy. If any football fan knows who he is, they'll respect your choice. -
He has two. His stat page lists one at the top to go with the INTs and INT yards etc. and one at the very bottom in the "Fumbles" section.

I can't believe no one is talking about Youboty.
Matt in KC replied to BoondckCL's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think it's notable that he was in there a lot and we did NOT hear his name. That's the kind of CB I want on my team! He'll get faster at recognizing and helping on running platys as he gets experience. For now, if he's not getting thrown at, he's starting off very well. -
I think you're crazy. Fletcher has VERY consistently played at a very high level, with pro-bowl stats over the last 7 years, including making 90+ solo tackles each year. You really think that somone else made those tackles and the home team is just padding his stats (to make him feel good??). Please let me know the next time you see a single tackle credited to him you don't think he made. I pay close attention and think the tackle credits are typically very good. Criticizing Fletcher for a play or two when he was beaten, especially when you don't know the coverage reads, is cherry-picking at its worst, though I do agree his coverage skills are probably the weakest part of his game (used to be undisciplined penalties). Fletcher has started every game since he's been here, and he is not dragged several yards after making contact. He has got to be one of the Bills the opposing players least want to run into when they have the ball. Fletcher is a monster, one I'm glad is on our team and not our opponents'. He is very deserving of a pro bowl appearance. Please do tell me just a few of the "better, cheaper options" out there.... Fletcher's Stats Page on NFL.com

I'm from Pittsford (Southeast of Roch-cha-cha). The Wegmans actually lived just over the line in Brighton when I was growing up.... To be clear, Rochester is Wegmans' home town, not Pittsford, though that is where one of the first super-stores went in (Pittford Plaza).

Maybe Ralph is saving up so he can dump a big up-front bonus to.... Nate? There's been a lot of talk about small market teams not being able to offer bonuses like the (Redskins) big market teams. Certainly not spending $10M in a rebuilding year has to help the cashflow....

Peyton Manning Projection

Thanks. The BF (in Indiana?) post above actually makes more sense now, not to say I understand it.... -
Peyton Manning Projection
Matt in KC replied to Benjamin Franklin's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
He already has 8 INTs, not something you would have guessed from the 1 INt in the first 4 games. In that stretch he had 5 TDs, which projects out to 20 by the end of the year, though he's already up to 22. Why did you choose 3, 4 or 5 games in past years, just because it made it closer? -
I met my wife online, and think this approach to dating makes a lot of sense. I knew all about her, and gave it her a chance to get to know me before we ever met her for the first time. I used webpersonals.com, which now redirects to lavalife.com. She was the second person I dated from the site, though I had another 2-3 dates lined up if didn't hit it off. My first date was with a crazy Canadian girl with died hair, who just wanted a companion (tho she posted in the Romance, not Friends, section), who insited on going to see the movie Hannibal and talking about death on our (only) date. So, I think there's an up and a down side to web-dating. But, you can meet a lot of people very quickly without the awkward getting-to-know-you and time you spend trying to figure out if someone is even available.

http://www.joystiq.com/2006/09/26/alexande...curse-to-blame/ I's guess Payton Manning or maybe Larry Johnson (if he wins the rushing title)

I agree Schobel is one of the more underrated players in the league, and don't have a problem with him saying so, or how he said it. It's the cocky hyperbole some players spout that drives me nuts. I think he's paid about right, and certainly could have gotten a bigger contract.

4:30 central? Post a summary, eh? -
Just reviewed the stat line...

Actually, in 2003 and 2004, after a year off, Sam had 127 and 140 tackles, more than he ever had as a Bill, according to NFL.com (>90 solo each year). And, half of his 12.5 career sacks came after he left the Bills. Anyone know what happened to Sam? He's not listed on NFL.com, but other sites say he went to the Texans...(?) -
The picture is tiny, but this is one of the highlights posted at NFL.com: http://www.nfl.com/video. You can tell he tapped his feet before the "clutch catch II" picture was taken. Man, that guy is zippy!

End of season cuts...villarial, KH, Everett, PP,
Matt in KC replied to genomich's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
...not to mention that Fletcher is a free agent after the season. Why would we need to cut him? I personally think he's worth big money for a 3 year contract, especially if we have unused cap money. -
Crud, here are my revisions: 3450 passing yards --> 3300 19 TDs -->14 15 INTs -->14 61% completion rate 250 rushing yards 4 rushing TDs -->3 46 sacks, 6 lost fumbles (4-5 from the sacks) --> 8 lost fumbles Not all on him: 8 delay of game penalties -->Anyone know how many we've had so far (too many!)

Well, I hate to admit it, but it took until your reply before I "got it" on your word. Unfortunately, that proves me abundantly tardful (for now).
