Greg Williams ...caught on tape....
Matt in KC replied to benderbender's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Are the parallel Greg Williams tape and audio threads some type of highbrow humor about the documentary video and audio no being recorded together? -
Revis on toughest receivers to cover
Matt in KC replied to Steve O's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Steve Johnson against the Jets Date Catches Yards TDs 11/2/08* 1 8 0 12/14/08 2 13 1 2009 Season - Johnson not active --------------------------------- 10/3/10* 3 31 1 1/2/10 5 72 0 11/6/11* 3 84 0 11/27/11 8 75 1 Recent Total 21 262 2 Recent Average 5.25 65.5 .5 * = in Buffalo ...and it turns out Revis was not active for the two Bills games in 2010. I think I forgive Revis the transgression of not singing Johnson's praises for his good game around Thanksgiving. Not to short Johnson: the first game of 2011 was also nice including a 52 yard catch over Revis and other successes. Johnson has been doing quite well against Revis. You're right, a lot better than othre #1 WRs from the stats I remember seeing at some point. I think another game or two and Revis will start mentioning him. ("It's not that I had a bad game, it's that Steve is a very talented reciever.") -

The Bill Curtain (Williams, Williams, and Dareus)
Matt in KC replied to southernbill's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Excellent. I really like this for written communication! -
Careful, you'll set off the PTSD seen in so many Buffalo fan psyches. Typical: "Touchdown!! Any flags ...any flags ...any flags??" (holds breath until extra point kicked, then returns to breathing and drinking).

Why doesn't Kamar Aiken get any love?
Matt in KC replied to ....lybob's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I <3 Kamar Aiken. Frankly he doesn't look as good in that video as the Hill looked in his highlight reel, but I bet we could get him for less than Hill. -

Demetrius Bell - Now an Eagle
Matt in KC replied to voodoo poonani's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Bell was a pleasant surprise. He looked better than expected. Then again, almost everyone on the o-line performed better than I expected last year. I think the low sack count was largely due to scheming, especially RF getting rid of the ball quickly. While Bell wasn't a matador, he was nothing special IMO, and the injuries are a concern. I don't think he's worth investing big $$ or a long contract. I loved Chandler's play in his big games, but think he disappeared for long stretches of the season because we couldn't afford to have him run a route. I'd love to see an o-line that can hold it's own with little help to open up our offensive options. (We of course also need more offensive weapons like TE, WR.) All that said, if we don't start the year with Bell or better, I'll be really disappointed. -
NFL rules committee to look at replay and IR
Matt in KC replied to Beerball's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
The NFL needs to modernize. Why can't the head referee just tweet his ruling via his iPhone and anyone who's interested can just get the info that way? "Hold a sec. Y? Could b 15 yrder or kick #98 outta game... j/k" -
I just checked out several articles about the signing. Anybody hear how many years? (I hope 2.) Has any information been Twitterated?

Mike Jasper talks to kids about healthy eating
Matt in KC replied to Beerball's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Great to see Jasper taking care of himself and bringing his enthusiasm to the community. I'll be looking for him in training camp. I'm curious about his current weight and how he's progressed, whether he looks like an NFL o-lineman now. -
Mario Williams: Officially a Buffalo Bill
Matt in KC replied to buffalo_bills's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Go look between posts 2000 to 3000.... -
I'd love for any of those to accurately describe the Bills defense! sophisticated disguised coverages pre-snap movement blitzing elite athletes We haven't even hit the draft yet and I'm already really excited to see our new defense!
-
Yes, his absence was obvious and very unlike him. I hope everything is okay.

All Peyton Manning, all the time!
Matt in KC replied to thewildrabbit's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
And the other big difference of course is that Bledsoe never was half the QB Manning became. To start, Bledsoe only ever had two seasons out of 14 with a passer rating over 85 (1997, 2002) with a career high year at 87.7 and a career average of 77.1. Manning has only had two seasons out of 13 below 85 (rookie year 1998 and 2001) with a career high of 121.1 and a career average of 94.9. -
Now Greg Williams is a cheater?
Matt in KC replied to mountainwampus's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Haven't read all the threads in awhile. I just found this as i was about to start a new one, so my comments are behind the conversation. What a slimeball, if true. I don't remember the Saints playing particularly dirty, but still. Are coaches and teams allowed to pay players beyond the salaries reported to the NFL for salary cap etc.? The $$s don't compare, but isn't that a big deal too? -
Only that's not what he's ever done. He's always been a pretty straight shooter. I never believe what anyone says to the media this time of the year, except Buddy seems to forego the misdirection and actually say what he thinks. I wish he did lie to the media a bit more, though I don't think it makes much difference this year.
