Andy Levitre tweets some side boob

Or maybe he'd get a "c'mon man, you want to stay in Buffalo, right?" -
Andy Levitre tweets some side boob
Matt in KC replied to ACor58's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I think this is some kind of test, to see what you react to as a Bills fan For me: 1a) Stay tuned for tomorrow? Contract update?!? 1b) Is he cleaning out his apartment? Moving? Geting rid of everything Bills-related? 2) Boobage <-- that's fine and nice 3) The jersey itself -- who cares really? -
I agree with most of your post, but how can you list Graham ("a young speedy receiver that might amount to something") as a positive and list our 1-2 punch at running back as a negative? Also, I haven't seen anyone mention the City itself and media as a negative. More introverted coaches might really like the tame media, but ambitious coaches might see it as a career-limiting environment.

Who do you want to win the Super Bowl?

More Seattle Vikings Colts Packers Broncos 49ers Falcons - It would be an awesome cap on a HOF career to see Gonzales get a TD or two.... Redskins Less Patriots - Much Less than Less -
I thought it was pretty clear at the time that letting Fletcher go was in part (mostly) because he was so vocal. I think he was fed up with the inept coaching and the performance of some of his fellow Bills. He was bad for morale, but he was right: we stunk. Yes, a large faction on TBD trashed him for an extended period going on and on about him tackling 5+ yards downfield. Given we were playing the Tampa 2 and he had responsibility for the deep middle third of the field, and that the majority of his tackles ere solo tackles (i.e. no one else on the defense got there) I never understod why our failures were pinned on him. I love Fletcher's passion. I think his longevity is in part due to him playing faster and harder than most of the other players he'd hit. Is it just me, or does Fletcher now look bigger and stronger than he did at the end of his Buffalo run?

Buffalo Bills fire Head Coach Chan Gailey

I really liked Chan's play design, but not the other aspects of his performance. Whether due to him, the O-Line coaching or whatever, we saw the best O-Line play we've had in over a decade and I fear a return to the recent past horrors. I'd love to have Chan as a offensive consultant. Re: the other teams looking for a coach: I sure hope we choose early in the coach draft and land the best talent. -
Maybe this is Hammer's last contest of the year!

Though two former Bills were selected (Lynch and Whitner).

Urbik agrees to contract extension
Matt in KC replied to San Jose Bills Fan's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I agree. For the first time in awhile I think we'll retain Leodis. He has gone from a disappointing starter to a solid role player. With the ST players we've kept over the years he's got the best additional skills of any of them. He's worth the roster spot so long as he no longer sees himself as a starting CB on another team. -

I don't think they are going to franchise Levitre. As I recall, the O-linemen are not considered seperately when calculating the money. There's no way we'd pay him top 5 or top 10 (transition tag) o-line money if that is calculated based off of left tackle contracts. If this has changed recently, I'd be very interested in reading about it. For the first time in over a decade I think we have a real Offensive line. I think signing Levitre is essential. We just got a LT for rookie money, I'd think we can afford to play elsewhere. IMO Levitre has been the key to the line, even more than Wood. Who wants to go back to the days of Kirk Chambers, Mike Pucillo, Duke Preston, Derrick Dockery...[and on and on and on]? -
Pass Interference Statistics
Matt in KC replied to You herd it hear last's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
I don't disagree the PI calls are huge and often "too much". Even wide open, catching a pass running full speed downfield is no gimme. 15 yards and/or a first down are as generous as any defensive penalty should be IMO. I liked the idea someone had that with the current defensive penalties that offensive PI should move the O back as much (OPI 28 yards downfield = move the O back 28). -

I see your point, but if a defender is close enough to tackle him, shouldn't he just try to defend him? Are there really a lot of players that are blowing past DBs 15 yards downfield? The only place I don't like the 15 yard rule is 3rd or 4th and more than 15 when it is a viable defense to flagrantly interfere rather than get beat. -
Joe Flacco - interested?

Does the transition tag (top 10 $ at position) still exist in the new CBA? And on the topic of franchising... they have to adjust the rules so guards like Levitre don't get same pay as OTs if franchised.... -
That was great experience for Brooks. He really looked like a young player for whom the game has not yet slowed down. I took away from the game that he looks like he has the physical skills and attitude to be a winner. I'm hopeful he'll be a solid player and serious competition for a starting CB job next season.

Pick one to leave - Fitz, Chan or Wanny
Matt in KC replied to BringBackFergy's topic in The Stadium Wall Archives
Fitz - Keep him as backup at reasonable salary, if possible, but his limitations are far beyond coaching. He's a great guy, but too limited to win enough to be satisfying. Chan - His play calling is often frustrating. Perhaps bringing in an O-Coordinator would be "enough". Given I generally like what I've seen of our personnel changes, he's my first stop answering for our results after addressing the obvious QB problem. Wannstedt- He has looked to be in over his head, but this is the start of a year in a new system. I suspect many of the issues are with the players fitting and being fluid in the "new" scheme. Nix - I'm a supporter. In broad strokes, I like his picks and his shift to us being a bigger stronger team. I don't know how much to blame him for us still sticking with Fitz as our starter. This is his biggest issue IMO. Ralph. I don't think Ralph is doing anything that is affecting our win-loss record. Maybe he has in the last few years; I don't know. If Ralph moves on, I personally don't think the Bills will still be in Buffalo so this is the bottom of any list for me. -
