  1. http://blogs.buffalobills.com/2013/06/11/how-minicamp-will-differ-from-otas/ What's up with driving accountability and asking players to perform at the start of minicamp? I thought we were going to wait until deep into preseason or later like usual.
  2. I'd say we're about the same as last year, but with some growing pains to be expected installing a new offense. But, it is safe to say the future is looking better at QB than it has in quite awhile.
  3. I think that's a key part of it. With our speedy recievers we need a different set of difficiencies than Fitz offered. Also, the fan base is restless, so we need change (and the hope that comes with it) even it we're no better... this year.
  4. Great story, and he sounds like a great guy. I think he and TJ Graham should really push each other.
  5. Sign me up for CJ and Kyle Williams. But who on Special Teams? That's a much harder question, especially this time of year.
  6. We should all try to remember the good words and use them with aplomb.
  7. This is what I see too... though I'm still optimistic!
  8. Right Here Right Now I'd name my boat that!
  9. If you live out of the area, perhaps a simple "Water Buffalo" with the Bills logo underneath.
  10. I'm not a defensive expert, but what is the concern about Pettine defense? Why do you think it's more susceptible to a no-huddle offense than any other defense? Sure they're an attacking defense, but they still are going to call plays like any other defense that does anything besides just line up and play the same way every down. (That type of defense = ) So the two main advantages of the no-huddle are 1) You don't give the defense a chance to substitute, getting personnel stuck on the field which may not be optimal for down and distance / coach's preference. 2) Conditioning - the defense may have trouble keeping up the pace; the big-guys especially wear down quickly. With Pettine's defense focusing on flexible players that can play many roles, and the up-tempo practices and focus on conditioning, what exactly is the concern?
  11. That influenced me a bit. We can debate more another day in another thread. Sanchez is nowhere the QB Bledsoe was. I hope the QB situation in NY is a circus for a long time!
  12. If you look st Bledsoe's stats, you'll see he was about the same in Buffalo as everywhere else he played. The main difference that jumps out is that he took more sacks than usual. I don't think Bledsoe was ever very good. I agree he was certainly nowhere near HOF material IMO.
  13. They are like a sick wildebeest who knows it's going to get eaten by the lions, but is staying in the watering hole as long as it can.
  14. Who is this Whaley, and how come no one here is bashing him? How did the Bills sneak some new guy in as GM without causing fan arguments? What the h@!! is going on!?
  15. What part of that do you think didn't happen? Trail of Tears
  16. Yeah, if everyone stopped saying things people thought were racist, sexist etc., what on earth would there be to talk about? That does sound like the tyranny of the minority. Do people really think the things you do and say are so non-PC it gets in the way of having a satisfying life? Remind me not to invite you over for Thanksgiving dinner even if we do bond over Bills football....
  17. That is seven kinds of stupid... not that I actually believe you. Let the free marke decide? That's... four kinds of stupid? Personally, I wouldn't want to do anything that would make people wonder if I was a racist, sexist, unkind, or uneducated. I don't feel like my free speach is being curtailed or that I'm somehow being harmed by conversations about the Redskins, feminism, spirituality etc.. People who are worked up about others being offended by the Redskins name, do you feel like you're actually being harmed or threatened? (Really?) If so, I'm sorry you do. I don't think anyone, or hardly anyone, raising those points in the real world (not a message board where posts can get snarky) is trying to harm or threaten you.
  18. Gotcha! (this is the thread where bad math is funny, remember?)
  19. You responded before I could. That's exactly what I was thinking. The Senator on the other hand keeps having us go 19-0. I'd be so pissed if we actually went undefeated in the regular season and still had to play the wildcard game because teams from other AFC divisions beat us based on strength of schedule!
  20. Sheesh! I don't know what all the hype is about. That didn't look very up-tempo to me!
  21. Not to be the grammar police or anything (tho here I go).... but it's "This might a thread of the year candidate be." Maybe we'll end up 11-6. I could live with that. Canks for an amusing thread, OP!
  22. I suspected, but with so many people piling on, I thought someone actually might not have the real story. To be falsely accused or convicted is a horrible possibility I wouldn't wish on anyone. That said, I heard he was beating a woman in bathtub with a lead pipe, so screw him!
  23. How do you figure? You mean TJ Graham, right? Rookie camp participants
  24. I'm not sure if people are doing it on purpose, or there is confusion because of the original link (not working) and subsequent link to the old 2009 story, but let's set the record straight: Corey was completely exhonerated in the 2009 incident. It was legitimately a case of mistaken identity. For the new charges, who knows what happened? I was hopeful Corey might come back to the Bills, but I think that's unlikely. I wish him well, and really hope he gets picked up by a team so I can see how he does elsewhere.
