  1. Going into this year's Training Camp I thought Hogan = JAG (just a guy), but reading today's reports I realized my opinion was changing. I've gone from giving him 25-30% chance of making the team (barring injury) to 80-90%. Teams need possession receivers. I don't expect him to have too many catches, or yards, but he might well get some critical first downs for us. I have not gone to camp, but have heard more instances of TJ dropping a ball than doing something positive. My shift for Hogan was paired with me feeling like TJ might not make the team after all. Is Hogan doing anything on Special Teams?
  2. I always love reading our notes, Astro. Thanks! By the way, it's Thursday, not Friday like you have in the title.
  3. Hairston, not Urbik. I really hope he's okay and this isn't anything but a bit of soreness. From the WGR link:

  5. Thanks so much mrags! I don't know how you're multi-tasking so well. I hope you don't feel like you're missing much because of it. BTW - This is my favorite type-o from today: You can say that again!
  6. So he was on the practice squad 1998 - 2000 his sign said. I'm sure someone on this board can figure out who that is if he's legit.
  7. It's a kidney issue. Doctors haven't been able to figure it out. Very troubling to say the least. (kidding!)
  8. I like the juxtaposition of these two snippets from the web sites:
  9. Right now it's Mojo, by Boulder Beer. In cold weather, I prefer Paulaner's Salvatore double bock, which is delicious!
  10. II'm not sure how I missed that!
  11. The best i can think of are Frasier, Colbert Report, and Star Trek the Next Generation (and also enjoyed Enterprise). Didn't The Simpsons start on the Tracy Ulman show? If it qualifies, I'd think it warrants serious consideration.
  12. I thought Robey was better than McKelvin last year too. I've been thrilled with how much McKelvin has improved, but he does not seem like a game-changer. Robey was solid even beyond his big plays, and seemed to be improving as the season went on. I hope he gets a lot of playing time again this year so we can see how high his ceiling is.... McKelvin made me very nervous returning punts last year.
  13. Yeah, all Orphan Black episodes are available on demand for DirecTV, Time Warner, DISH subscribers. If anyone wants to check it out definitely start at the beginning! Favorite character: Helena
  14. Tatiana Maslany certainly deserved to get nominated for Orphan Black. And even with a lot working against it, I thought it might still happen due to the buzz about her snub last year. Also, I thought we might well see Keri Russell, who was very good again in The Americans. Tough category....
  15. Pats, Hernandez battle over Psychological, scouting reports Sounds good to me! It seems more likely these might cause PR harm to the Pats if it's clear they knew the guy was unstable.
  16. I have to throw Blade Runner out there for consideration. I called this my favorite movie for years, but haven't thought about it much in the last ~10 years.
  17. Yeah, that's the best I found as well. I was surprised there wasn't more footage readily available. I swear I remember around a dozen plays with Tasker downing punts inside the 1-2 yard line that aren't even mentioned in those couple videos that come up. . . .
  18. But remember, and I hope it brings you some solace: death isn't tragedy. It sounds like you had long wonderful years together, a wonderful success. Still, I feel your pain and wish you luck adjusting to your new normal rhythms.
  19. I'm so sorry for your loss. Just like with amputees, you'll likely have a kind of "phantom limb" syndrome for awhile feeling Maisy there when she's not. I've experienced that too.
  20. Can anyone find a good Steve Tasker highlight video? I only found a couple, but neither showed many highlights; they were more talking.
  21. I am not sure the term (Best Actor/Actress) means what you think it means. . . .
  22. I agree with this, though you have to add his ability to run through arm tackles and maintain control. Others like Antonio Brown came along with better pure speed, but would wipe out if they were touched. I also think McGee was underrated as a CB. He was great in man coverage, and was a real play-making ballhawk. Unfortunately, he landed in Jauron's persistent Tampa 2 that didn't give him nearly as many chances to shine. He would have been outstanding in a Pettine defense...
  23. So, what are your criticisms?
