  1. If he goes to the Cleveland travelling sh--show I foresee a short career.
  2. While not quite following the Doc's logic, I could see it being detrimental to Spikes to not get a game in front of a national audience to drive his price up. I could also see it helping his stock by not ending up getting caught in a play where the injury hampers him. Either way, the guy is a douche, and Belicheck is, too, he's just the douche-in-chief. That's what this is about, right?
  3. Could trade down and end up with Ebron plus, or the OT from Auburn, a good receiver, any number of talents. I like it.
  4. Same here. To be honest, wish I could root wholeheartedly for Seattle but Carroll is a total douche. I like seeing Indy succeed because one of my friends is a lifelong fan from Indy, and I appreciated the Polian connection. That they were perennially competing with the Pats made me side with them more. Past players / teams I've appreciated - the Giants (always a special place in my heart for beating the Pats twice in the big one, plus semi-local) - Randall Cunningham-era Eagles - Brees / Saints - Vikings - saw parallels with the Bills' past, interest waned with Moss and their recent struggles/ineptitude - Lions - see Vikings, loved Barry Sanders and could watch Calvin Johnson all day Hell of a catcher. Same here. XXV will never die in the memory, and even if Parcells and Belicheck and crew are gone, it's a bitter one. I did soften when they played the Pats in the SB.
  5. That's a bold statement. Care to make it interesting?
  6. Dropping down those two final slots is going to be a big challenge, but I believe in Danny Crossman.
  7. Ah, I see. I was worried this was being levied at yours truly.
  8. Well, also, it's the kind of injury report / roster manipulation this team has gotten away with for years.
  9. I'm sure this is not the guy's first infraction, plus he's a total dirtbag. It makes me sick to my stomach to say it, but good on Belicheck.
  10. First rule of Johnny Manziel is talk about him for ten pages.
  11. I acknowledged that earlier: http://forums.twobillsdrive.com/topic/165044-example-of-why-we-should-not-throw-in-the-towel-on-manuel-yet/#entry3027497
  12. Right. I feel like I've dropped in from Mars. Goodwin has return ability but this team has no return schemes and no leadership in the STs. The absolute last piece this team is missing is guys fast and shifty enough to return the ball in the NFL.
  13. Why, is he gonna teach dudes how to tackle and block?
  14. That's enough for me. Pass. I nominate Andrew W.K. for starting QB.
  15. I think if you're gonna talk about comparables and character, Vince Wilfork might be a reasonable one. He's not a choirboy - kind of a dirt bag if not playing on your team - but he's got to be accounted for at all times and makes a defense better. I don't think Marcel is necessarily a jerk in the same way, just for the record.
  16. "Barbarian QB Camp" sounds like an amazing reality show idea. Do you want to go in on this, KD? BB selects QBs to engage in feats of strength and leadership. One gets thrown off a rocky cliff each week. One lucky winner will become the Raiders' third stringer.
  17. Doesn't this belong in the "Least unexpected" or "least useful" thread?
  18. I think the answer when there are 8 man fronts is to spread out the field and try slants and screens, rather than running up the middle as so often happens. Why this is an underused portion of our playbook is beyond me. NE does this all the time - they basically replace their run game with a short yardage passing game that gets 6/7 yards a clip, sometimes more, and force the defense into looks that are more favorable for the run. I know everybody wants a team that dictates the game and pushes everybody around, but there is more than one way to win in the NFL and I prefer a team that can keep defenses off balance with relatively the same personnel on the field. It would help if we had some receivers with better hands who could go to the ground to get those passes that cannot be defended or caught by anybody else. Brady and Welker, now Edelman / Amendola make this work ALL. THE. TIME. I have faith that Manuel will find the game slowing down when he heals up and gets another offseason in the system. Hopefully the coaches will put everybody in a better position, too.
  19. The defense spends a hell of a lot less time on the field when the opponent is starting at our 35 yard line after their 250 pound running back made it all the way downfield against our least important unit. Just saying. The main difference is that Bobby April actually has a record of successful STs units on his resume. He gets a little more BOD in believing he'll turn it around.
  20. Smith should have batted that ball away, no?
