  1. I like Eqqsquizitine Buble-Schwinslow. This edition was great - not as great as the original, but damn good.
  2. One of my favorites - and where my avatar comes from.
  3. But at least both are open all the time.
  4. To be fair, they've both been referred to as receivers in the National Football League.
  5. Holy generalization, batman. I don't think Whaley is incompetent. I don't know if Marrone is. My gut says he's not as competent as I would like him to be in some areas. We'll see what happens when he gets more players to work with.
  6. I agree with you about Favre. Perhaps it's just the hater in me speaking, but I think Marino crumbled in the big games as he showed over and over against the Bills. He was absolutely great, but he could be beaten.
  7. I think you're not using the correct German articles.
  8. Fair 'nuff, I also don't presume to know more than those who have seen them, I just have seen enough NFL Films - and enough of Aikman - to not call Troy one of the top 5. Not even in my lifetime, I think. Excellent QB for a great team, but not top 5.
  9. Aikman, really? Johnny Unitas wants to come slap you from the grave.
  10. I defer to people who've watched football for a lot longer than I have. I can't possibly say where Brady stacks up against Unitas or Otto Graham.
  11. I know it'd have the potential to backfire, but I wouldn't mind seeing more attention for the team.
  12. Chris Spielman and/or Takeo Spikes. I think the latter was headed for a HOF career before that Achilles injury. What could have been...
  13. I don't think the Bills have or would ask him to, because their running game is much more respectable. TY Hilton is better than any receiver the Bills put on the field this year, and Luck's TEs are WAY better. Kaep sat for a year and a half, and Wilson has a complete team around him with a terrific running game. YES, Cam has taken time, and it's obvious. He's been up and down. Dalton? Last I looked, he cost his team playoff games, and he also has a top-3 receiver to throw to. He's a game manager who has basically reached his ceiling. The other guys? Ponder has the least excuse with AP in tow. Tannehill is probably the guy to compare EJ to, and I will not be very impressed if EJ doesn't exceed what Tannehill has done. There are numerous examples of players who have taken their game to another level with proper coaching and good health. Brady, Rogers, Roethlisberger. All three of them also had better teams around them than the Buffalo Bills when they came into the league. Did they make their teams better? Yes. Were they all asked, immediately, to be the sole focus of the offense? Not really. Sounds like you've got your mind made up about a guy with 10 games in the league. I am sure you have access to all the film and have reviewed his uncorrectable errors religiously from behind your keyboard. I am not averse to bringing in another QB to compete with EJ, but it makes zero sense to give up on the reasons he was drafted. It's a good thing that the team feels the same way.
  14. Can't-miss generational talent Andrew Luck threw 7 interceptions in two playoff games and magnificently squeaked into the divisional round when his opponents lost 5 players including a few of their best, champ. Young QBs take time, and ours was competitive against NE and beat one of the top NFC seeds and last year's champs. See how easy it is to pick and choose your truth?
  15. We received: something to talk about while our team is on the golf course!
  16. Qualifiers: 1) Eventually, and 2) After FJax went down. Spiller did contribute earlier, but I do wish we had already seen more, longer stretches of dominant play from the guy at this point. I do understand that system plays into it a bit, but basics like picking up pass blocking schemes and finding holes have seemed a little harder than they should for the guy. I want to see him destroy fools more often. I know he can.
  17. I think this is entirely possible. If I were the Pats I'd either be looking for a kid to develop, soon, or tank whenever Brady's truly looking in decline, and nab the #1 a la Indy. Please don't share this plan with them.
  18. I hate the Pats, but damn if they aren't good at just plugging in role players and supporting their star power with them. I think one really overlooked aspect of FA is that the Pats attract these guys and can usually sign them at market or below -- because they are a winning franchise with consistency and stability at QB. That coupled with shrewd trades yields players who may not be stars, but who star in games because of the Pats' ability to adapt. Blount is one such example, but there are others. It seems like every frigging replacement receiver they get is GREAT at hauling in those passes to the turf from Brady that literally no one else can catch. Good for 7-11 yards a pop. None of them is afraid to get dirty and they all have pretty good hands. And they will most likely play for somebody else the next season and do next to nothing, unless they are catching passes from Peyton or perhaps Luck. It's infuriating.
  19. Uh, someone got past the profanity blocker with a typo.
  20. I agree (acquit?). The Bills' D is building towards something strong, but the Seahawks are already there. Also, they get to play with leads and their running game doesn't put the D back on the field every 3 minutes.
  21. I agree, can't trust those SEC guys. Especially QBs.
  22. The starter isn't getting replaced by someone on the practice squad. But the backup is, and maybe that guy can help spell the guy who moved up to start on STs. Maybe he just sits and isn't active. It's still an advantage that another team isn't going to get if it simply suspends its own player. To argue otherwise is silly.
