  1. Well, it also depends on the talent available in a year, your case in point. 2002 was weak as all get-out, and our two picks there look serviceable at best. In '01 we got two quality starters. I think this year the talent is not impressive enough to merit the spending another Round 1 pick would necessitate. And, if one of those round 2 guys was the Nuge, it's not like kickers command crazy dollar amounts.
  2. You know what the skunkiness is is the green bottles. Stella and Heineken on tap are much more tolerable (but not worthy of raves if you ask me). I will agree that there have been moments where Bass has been the best beer I've tasted. Generally my favorites are some of the Brooklyn Brewery offerings (Weisse, Pennant Ale), Saranac (Caramel Porter when they had it was great, and their Pilsner is tasty but light enough), and Bass. If I've gotta drink a light beer, it's Yuengling Light or Blue Light.
  3. Actually, this is some (deceptive) truth in advertising, because coldness and Coors have about an equal level of taste to them.
  4. I was talking about Coors. Don't mind Molson (Canadian Light is awful though).
  5. Weissbier is far more refreshing than that shite. Plus no hangovers.
  6. Perhaps they will merge Coors Light and Molson Canadian Light to become truly the worst beer ever.
  7. Link Is this going to lead to "I love being Canadian with twins" commercials? Sigh...
  8. The atrocities of Scientology are many, but I think people are forgetting its most egregious crime: Battlefield Earth.
  9. I'll be looking forward to a few clearly visible screams of "bull sh--" coming from the fat man next season. Priceless.
  10. It's pretty hilarious that NYC media digs deep into the big issues like this. I can't fathom having even a shred of fame here and having every bit of dirt/contradiction in my life brought forth to the public. But you've made your point. Fireman bad, stadium also bad again.
  11. Man, that fireman's alright. I think we should have a stadium after all.
  12. It'd be cool if I had a rocket pack and could fly to the moon, but that doesn't make it affordable or rational.
  13. LOL. On a serious note, Masiello surely is a tool.
  14. I'm an old joke, b*tch.
  15. Hold on, jack. You won't be missed. And watch where you're walking instead of looking up at the shiny lights, for Christ's sake. Nice to see that New York is both the embodiment of American values (center of immigration, Wall Street, Statue of Liberty) and the bastion of all that is evil, depending on which best serves conservative ideology at the time. I suppose the WTC victims were all deserving because they lived/worked in a town that didn't honor America. [/sarcasm]
  16. I hope you're right. It has just seemed that the Pats have been above and beyond the rest of the league for the past few years. I don't think we'd be wrong to hope for a little chemistry disruption and downfall.
  17. A bump, and... jesus, five people think the Pats are going to bite it in '05. I wish I was that confident.
  18. Absolutely. That said, McNabb, Mitchell and co. need to stop clownin' and get ready to play.
  19. It was more of a joke guarantee. He's my best friend, anyway. I couldn't live with taking money from the guy on a sucker bet like that.
  20. I say root for the Dark Horse. The ghost of George is going to pull this one out.
  21. It strangely becomes more effective when it isn't taught in high schools.
  22. A friend of mine guaranteed that the Pats are going to go 3-13 next year with the loss of two of their architects of success. I think that's wishful thinking, but Belicheck has never had this kind of success without the support of Crennell and Weis. Who knows -- likely Belicheck has seen this moment coming for awhile and has had successors waiting in the wings. Perhaps, just like personnel changes in the roster, the coaching changes will come without a missed beat. Here's hoping otherwise. What do you all think? By the way, go Eagles!
  23. Can someone please explain who Tony is without any first season spoilers? New to the show here.
  24. But he was a restricted free agent and he was due a gigantic payday. That's why they had to give him away. Surtain? After the Moulds spitting issue? Never going to happen. And I don't want that jerk on the team anyway. He's seen his best years and we are pretty much set in the defensive backfield. We just need backups at CB.
  25. I'm sorry, I wouldn't associate with this !@#$ in a million years. Shall we hold you responsible for everything stupid Pat Buchanan has said in his lifetime? Generalizations are fun and easy roadblocks to any effective solutions. March on.
