  1. From Clayton's Quick Hits I'd post what he said, but not sure about the rules of quoting directly from ESPN. It's under March 1.
  2. "The only thing I love more than my wife is my money." -- Jon Bon Jovi Greedy prick.
  3. Yeah, Clayton says Jennings is/was flying out to Frisco today. I don't like too much what he had to say about the Henry trade situation. Looks like the guy blew his best chance to go start for another team by getting greedy. Thanks a lot, Travis.
  4. Would that count as a couple of particular people congregating?
  5. I was hoping for Bettis, but looks like the Steelers wrapped him up for another year. He would have been perfect.
  6. Since there's no *cringe* smilie... Maybe they were trying to make love AND war?
  7. He wasn't wearing his old glasses.
  8. Do I root for the guy to fail? No (unless the Dolphins draft him). But the smart money is on the chance that he will fail. Look, Mike Williams did basically the same thing. But he wasn't a complete jerk about it, and people are still high on him because it seems like he continued to work hard and accepted the ruling for what it was. Clarett drones on and on about how he deserves a shot and then doesn't even look like he has worked for it. Not to mention that he wasn't working in college to begin with, except for on the football field, perhaps. Like I said, I think he should have been given his shot last year. He would have finally learned something... the hard way. No matter, it will probably go down the same way this year.
  9. Honestly, I wish they had just let him in so his flameout and failure became a self-fulfilling prophecy and we were spared the year of stories about him. I don't think it sets a good example, but I think that it would have become obvious very quickly that most players that young are not ready for the NFL.
  10. If that's the sh-- she's worried about on a day like this, she should be fired. Besides, the SOD and everyone knows or will know what she went through. I don't think it will have anything to do with the show, but she will be taken good care of. I was bothered by the Driscoll plot line only because it would seem that a person in her position would understand that nothing gets in the way of the job, and would have sent her child to a hospital. But I understand it as a means to the end of Tony's new role.
  11. So now the second (or third, perhaps) act begins. Jesus, next week looks like it will bring some entirely new turns (preview for next week spoilers): * Tony in charge of CTU now?! What a day this guy has had... * What is happening to Jack in the preview? It looks like he is in some kind of weapons launch pad and in some kind of trouble... * Arms dealers selling weapons to terrorists? * Marwan obviously has designs on some other acts of terrorism... Exciting season -- can't wait for the rest, even if it does make me shiver.
  12. Kicking outdoors in the AFC South for about half his career doesn't mean he'd be a great kicker in Buffalo weather. I think Nugent has the edge on him there, that's all.
  13. I don't think we want another dome kicker. Nugent's appeal is not just in his results, but also in the elements he has dealt with at OSU.
  14. Let's see, the doctor who thinks you can get AIDS from hand-to-hand contact paired with the guy who thinks gay marriage is going to lead to a dude taking a frog as his bride. We have a winner. The Democrats would be salivating to take these guys on.
  15. I think TD is backing off his harsh criticism of Clarett to get someone to bite on him so that the Bills have a better shot at the player they really want. No way do they want a guy with his attitude and priorities on this team. Besideswhich, he would only last here as long as the four years on his contract, then it's time for the money. Besides, the last time Willis and Clarett were on the same field it didn't end well. No more of that, please.
  16. Mike Williams would do great in Viking colors. I would definitely take him and Harris over a guy of Moss' talent who doesn't care about the team. I might actually start liking the Vikes again now that that a--wipe is gone.
  17. He did throw all those picks in the "Snow Bowl"...
  18. The lack of footage could just as easily be a plus on the Bills' side, too. The less defenses have to read on him, the more likely he can come out with something different from what he had in college, and surprise some teams.
  19. I'm curious why people are so interested in him, to be honest. He seems like a gritty guy, but with not much else going for him. But perhaps he is more than just another QB ground up in the Lions' sh-- mill, who knows?
  20. I'd like to see us try to pick up Brad Johnson if he becomes available. We could use a smart, selfless and underrated guy who has won a Super Bowl, is perhaps on the downside of his career, but can get the job done if the situation calls for it.
  21. Franchise price will give JJ top-5 money. Nobody is taking him at that, and we'd be stuck with him at a ridiculous cost.
  22. That's probably the report on most big O-linemen, I imagine.
  23. RIP, Hunter.
  24. Well, this particular guy has gone and visited the Bills and indicated some interest in the team, Henry and Arizona are interested in each other, and we have an O-line coach who has made the careers of a lot of great players. This is not some "how's about we trade our 4th rounder for Brady" pipe dream. It's founded in reality and might get us our tackle of the future at a nice rate.
  25. "I need my johnson." "What do you need that for, dude?" Best movie _ever_.
