  1. I got yr Post of the Year nomination right here.
  2. I for one can't wait to watch games at Velveeta Stadium of Lambeau. JJ's right, nothing should be sacred. Only one thing i$ important.
  3. NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
  4. But then the 3rd QB has to be activated on game day. That isn't usually the case.
  5. I promise not to use the rose-colored glasses as soon as I hear a promise that that particular cliche' will never be used again.
  6. Not true, if for one reason: no turnovers from Losman. Reckless as his play may seem, he has protected the ball pretty well.
  7. I wouldn't forget that MM has said in the past that he thinks they only need 2 preseason games. Game-planning, etc. I think will be OK and a lot more interesting/surprising in September. That said, I'd also put stock in his disappointment in last night's performance.
  8. Pot meet kettle. Like this kid isn't taking advantage of the presence of the soldiers. These people give those of us with honest and reasoned dissent of the war a bad name. I really do feel for the people who have served, especially those wounded. After all they've had to go through, now this.
  9. The thing is, some teams take those problems you listed and are able to solve them, others cannot. We have no idea how this will play out. A lot of the problems you mentioned for the Bills, or similar ones, could easily apply to many of the teams you mentioned. How about these: TB, ATL: QB issues, ATL: inexperienced receiver corps CAR: RB injury problems OAK: new starter at RB KC: major questions on defense I could go on, but I don't need to. Most teams in the middle of the pack, which is where the Bills have to be considered after last year, can't really be judged to be any better or worse at this point.
  10. Redskins and Philly aren't. What are you laughing about? Stop that!
  11. You must have a lot of hit points by now.
  12. I believe it's the 100 year-old ones who were born in 1999.
  13. Only the finest Hefe-Weizen with a lemon, honey.
  14. True, but any NFC stats from last year should be asterisked. Two or three AFC teams could have played a better Super Bowl against the Pats than Philly. Not to say they would have won -- they obviously didn't when they had the chance. But the AFC's level of competition was a lot higher than the NFC's.
  15. Don't forget that it makes you a fabulous sushi-eater who really knows how to accessorize.
  16. Can I ask who invited Yoda?
  17. I hope all the disrespect gets the Buffalo D even more fired up. Having the Jets and Philly on that poll, and no Bills, is a travesty. Of course, we're talking ESPN here. As long as you're in a big market or you've got some loudmouth to draw attention, you'll get recognized.
  18. I guess this is the difference here. I believe that culture is not a static phenomenon but something that grows and changes, and I think there is room in this world for an Islamic culture that eschews violence and becomes a part of the global dialogue. Using the binary opposition of "us and them" is precisely what empowers terrorists to get mainstream Muslims to believe that we are indeed against all Muslims. And that hurts us further. Eradicating the culture is an easy solution to the problem that I am afraid our country has pursued far too often.
  19. Then what? Descent into chaos, coups, and power struggles? Sounds familiar. If there is no room for principles, what the sh-- are we fighting for?
  20. I feel a Buckey-RiO deathmatch coming on sometime in the next few months.
  21. I had to take the bait, it smelled even tastier than a sashimi platter.
  22. Woo-hoo, that was priceless. Top-notch, really. Please keep posting these! Did I mention it was hilarious? Occasionally a joke of legend status comes about, and, wow, you found one. If there is a joke hall of fame, I say we bypass the five-years' eligibility rule and canonize this one immediately. Wow, still trying to get back into my chair after that one. Wow.
  23. After that big accident and the lockout I could imagine a fresh start would look good for Heatley.
  24. If your point is that these two are both ridiculous zealots devoid of any of the good in religion, I'm for it. If it's just to say, "Muslims bad, too" or "Muslims worse" then I fail to see how it addresses either side's problems.
  25. Not distracted, but definitely disturbed by the fact that this guy has a real following that actually believes this stuff. If he were attached to any other religion he'd be denounced immediately as a kook at best, as a cult leader or radical at worst.
