  1. Mr. Gilbride, you were fired two years ago. Please go home. The Management
  2. And no Rob Johnson. Guess the guy took his ill-gotten Super Bowl ring and went home to surf.
  3. Depends on who you're buying for... If it was you, buying for the wifey, Let's Get it On. If it's your wife, buying for someone else, What's Going On.
  4. That's one truth. I'm hoping Willis shows he's THE truth. Breakout game this week, I'm feeling it.
  5. You mean, "the Jays"? What happened to the "Blue"!?!?!?! I still wear the old '77 cap.
  6. Hell, we thought we might be seeing Walker here in Buffalo, he was so "bad."
  7. But why, on the first touchdown, double coverage on Hilliard and nobody on Clayton? That was damn fool defense if I've ever seen it.
  8. Last week I read a report on the Bucs, and what did they say but that the two things that work against the Bucs are running the ball and passing down the middle. Looks like Mularkey and Clements should have gotten a hold of that scouting report. I'd add that the running plays they chose sucked too, to say nothing of the line's inability to make anything happen. Since obviously nothing up the middle was happening, they should have been pulling and trying to get Willis to the sideline fast, where he gained a majority of his yards. Instead they kept running delays and sweeps that took too long to develop, and you found Willis dancing around in the backfield waiting for sh-t that wasn't going to happen. That was ugly. Passing, they should have given the Bucs Josh Reed, Josh Reed and more Josh Reed. The guy was catching the ball, and at some point the defense would have to have covered him, leaving Moulds or Evans exposed in single coverage. And I like Mularkey, but I would like him a lot more if he would simply use some screens and running back passing plays (checkdowns, anyone?) to keep the D's pursuit honest.
  9. Never really did pizza in Buffalo. There's a Blasdell pizza in Fredonia now that's pretty good. I'll have to second whomever mentioned Lena's before, they were #1 in my WNY days.
  10. J-E-T-S. I never, never, never, never root for the Dolphins. The fact that they have a win and the Jets don't makes it even simpler. The Jets may/should be the better team and thus the enemy in our sights, but I just don't hate them like I do the 'Fins. As an aside, as I was making my way to McFadden's last week a Jets fan passed me and my wife, yelling "Screw the Bills," "we're going 12-4," "You guys suck" and we exchanged some fun heckling/banter. It was even sweeter at the end of the day.
  11. I think this team owes TKO the playoffs, big time. That's why he signed with the Bills, and it's time they all matched his effort. Hopefully this is the first of many.
  12. Took the words out of my mouth.
  13. Johnson is excellent, but their number 2 options are dreadful. Gaffney outplayed his abilities last year, I wouldn't expect as good a year from him this season.
  14. Copied-and-pasted from ESPN Insider: • Though Josh Reed was one of the seven receivers on the Bills' opening-week roster, word is he will have to impress the coaching staff in the first few weeks of the season in order to keep his spot on the team. That's because once rookie Roscoe Parrish is healthy enough to return, he will be in the lineup, filling the No. 3 WR role. Working against Reed is the fact that he doesn't play special teams. Edit: Sorry, didn't realize this was posted yesterday
  15. That mutant dragon-horse is priceless.
  16. Hey, if you didn't enjoy the game yesterday that's your own fault. No need to bring the rest of us down.
  17. I can imagine you're all with me here, but I am very revved up about seeing what this offense looks like once Parrish is back. One thing I noticed about yesterday was that JP was VERY good at spreading the ball around. A certain championship team has made that their bread and butter, and it works. An extra speedy slot weapon for JP is going to make things even more interesting, to take nothing away from what I thought was a surprisingly solid Josh Reed performance yesterday.
  18. Someone should definitely mention to Donahoe in the next "Ask the GM" segment that these unis should be here to stay. Damn, they look nice.
  19. I couldn't believe so many people left with around 5 minutes left. I woulda gotten my money's worth out of this opener.
  20. Ordering my custom Peters jersey right now.
  21. Indeed it is. Come on down.
  22. I just wish he'd give me some. Sounds great!
  23. I gotta bump this. Can't be that nobody is going to make it!
  24. So does this mean that Dorenbos was pretty much a one-trick pony? That's all for tonight, folks, you've been great, and try the veal.
