  2. Are you doing drugs? The man said to give OJ a break!! [/sarcasm]
  3. let's make him "mediocre," then, as penance for 4 years of suckage.
  4. If our answer to the possibility of losing McGahee is Quentin Griffin, to paraphrase others on this board, someone has definitely asked the wrong question.
  5. Having more fun and stomach-aches reading this. Just think if Butler had reached for this guy instead at 26: Damn. Oof. His biggest asset sure wasn't his ability to play safety. double-oof. The guy did not make me forget Gabe Northern. Worst. Draft. Ever.
  6. Fun to analyze this one. I count 13 picks who are performing right now or have contributed to real team success in the past (such as J. Lewis, who might now be in decline). 1. CLEVELAND Courtney Brown *bust* 2. WASHINGTON LaVar Arrington *mediocre, transitioned from success to bust* 3. WASHINGTON Chris Samuels *moderate success* 4. CINCINNATI Peter Warrick *med-to-bust* 5. BALTIMORE Jamal Lewis *success, not without serious flaws i.e. character* 6. PHILADELPHIA Corey Simon *moderate success, weight issues* 7. ARIZONA Thomas Jones *med-to-OK, journeyman may have found his team* 8. PITTSBURGH Plaxico Burress *push* 9. CHICAGO Brian Urlacher *one of draft's better picks* 10. BALTIMORE Travis Taylor *bust* 11. NY GIANTS Ron Dayne *bust* 12. NY JETS Shaun Ellis *success* 13. NY JETS John Abraham *success* 14. GREEN BAY "Bubba" Franks *med-to-bust* 15. DENVER Deltha O'Neal *bust* 16. SAN FRANCISCO Julian Peterson *moderate success* 17. OAKLAND Sebastian Janikowski *he's performed, but sometimes the performance has been a circus, and still a massive reach in middle of round 1* 18. NY JETS Chad Pennington *moderate success* 19. SEATTLE Shaun Alexander *best value pick of the draft* 20. DETROIT Stockar McDougle *mediocre* 21. KANSAS CITY Sylvester Morris *bust* 22. SEATTLE Chris McIntosh *bust* 23. CAROLINA Rashard Anderson *bust* 24. SAN FRANCISCO Ahmed Plummer *moderate success* 25. MINNESOTA Chris Hovan *med-to-bust* 26. BUFFALO Erik Flowers *absolute bust, somehow has made a career out of it* 27. NY JETS Anthony Becht *med-to-bust* 28. INDIANAPOLIS Rob Morris *med-to-bust* 29. JACKSONVILLE R. Jay Soward *complete bust* OOL 30. TENNESSEE Keith Bullock *another fantastic value* 31. ST. LOUIS Trung Canidate *bust* OOL
  7. Well, we definitely have him for one season, and if we don't re-sign Clements, I think McGee becomes a priority. No way do we lose both. And we certainly don't lose both at the same time.
  8. Boy, some real dogs in that first round. Trung Canidate?
  9. Not while we've got McGee as an RFA.
  10. I just hope he doesn't forget his lunchbox.
  11. How about Kenny Albert? That guy sucks to everybody.
  12. WTF? More running backs? Why? ARGGGH.

  14. Is there anything Jason Peters can't do?
  15. Well, a shill for ABC sports who sings lyrics about the weekend's football games written about three hours ago by some dude in Hollywood, I'd have to say that's not quite the authentic country music I'm looking for, but, whatever. If it makes someone feel good and I can mute it, I suppose it's no problem here.
  16. I'm so hungry I could eat at Arby's.
  17. Removing context is funny.
  18. Mmm hmm. The best country music actually has some soul to search a la Cash, Haggard, Jennings, even Willie. Tim McGraw might as well be singing about chicken McNuggets -- it would have about as much meaning as his usual material.
  19. waaaaah. You know, I really feel for Pats fans. Boo hoo.
  20. Not too clutch there for Deion. Spoke too soon GG.
  21. Just as it would have been stupid to call the season over so early, is it that good of an idea to discuss winning the division at this point? Lots of football left to play here. I like a good deal of what I see but I am still terrified by our all risk/reward defense. At times amazing, at times vomit-inducing. And Kelly needs to not throw INTs that look, frankly, rook-worthy. Other than that, pleased with the win.
  22. Ya jinxed the Broncos. Side note: Anyone else appreciate that Plummer is really beginning to look like a plumber? That 'stache in his profile photo is pretty amazing.
  23. Danica Patrick is pretty good at it.
  24. Just don't see it happening, unless the staff really decides CV can't hack it. If he can stay healthy, he needs to be the starting RG. I think we're stuck with Bennie and looking for a tackle, likely in rounds 1-2, and hoping to re-sign Clements. If we lose, there will be a giant drop-off, more substantial than the gains we would stand to make with two vs. one new linemen. McGee is proving to be decent, but we'll get torn up with Greer, Thomas, King, or some rook back there. I think one thing we can all agree on is that Jerman needs to be sent packing. That guy sucks like an Electrolux. Edit: and what are the chances we can pay for a premier tackle (where we'll likely overpay) vs. a premier corner (Nate, we'll overpay but he's a known entity entering his prime). What's the diff? Better to draft the tackle, and stick with the rest of the hand we've got.
  25. That trade was a coup. Almost makes one forget about Bob Corkum.
