  1. I watched the game in super-triple HD projected on a 50 foot side of the Empire State Building and I saw Joe Theismann's nose hairs, while three women brought me drinks and massaged my feet. In case you didn't catch the sarcasm, the HD screen-size bravado here is getting to be a little ridiculous.
  2. How dare you sully the good name of Kelly Holcomb, our quarterback of the future.
  3. Stojan, you're the scrooge of Hallowe'en. It's beautiful weather, you've probably got a good-size bowl of leftover candy and it's one of the few holidays that's just about having fun.
  4. QB ratings = RJ
  5. Anybody go to the videotape and analyze him at all at tackle? I'm curious.
  6. What makes you think that Rivers could be the guy here? He would have to learn our system, he has a side-arm delivery that is questionable for Buffalo weather, and would cost us, again, an arm and a leg. How many times do we have to sell the farm to get the right QB for the future of this team? The people giving up on Losman after 4 games, two of which he wasn't even allowed to finish (and one when we were only down a touchdown!), are absolutely ridiculous. No. If we wanted Rivers, we should have traded up in '04. Getting him now would be asinine.
  7. See it the way you want to. I see a guy who is 8 years removed from his best season, alternates good and bad seasons, and is on the decline. The stats say it all. His average reception is down to under 10 yards, he's on pace to again have under 10 TDs (hasn't happened since Bledsoe's first year here), and he is not getting separation and beating double-teams like he used to. I'm not saying he never was a great talent, but his cost far exceeds his worth right now. If he took a big cut, maybe, but Eric's always been a little too proud for a guy who has never proven to be the difference, the guy who gets us a playoff win.
  8. Let me count the ways: He actually lobbied for Holcomb, which is the equivalent of spinning our tires in the ditch instead of seeing if the kid can learn how to push us out of it and back onto the road. Holcomb is in so we can "win now." Question: are we "winning now?" He will relax effort on a play to look for a flag, instead of always, always, always playing the ball. He costs way too much. A number one receiver who only looks like a number one 3-4 games a year is not a number one receiver. He represents an era of losing and underachieving in Bills football history. Let's get it overwith. I want him gone precisely because I am a Bills fan. I want guys who are hungry to win, maybe a few more guys who have won, and guys who are willing to look at what's good for the team first. And hopefully an offensive or defensive lineman that can be bought with the money we would otherwise give to Moulds next year.
  9. That's precisely what I was thinking... These contracts are guaranteed, right? So when he inevitably fails to satisfy (getting rid of Willingham was a dumb move in my book), they're on the hook for it. Nice use of tuition money. Hope ND students like being taught by grad students and adjuncts...
  10. My guess is the other way around, since PW was undrafted. JJ was a third.
  11. And "Wild Horses"... My votes are that one, "Tumbling Dice" and "Gimme Shelter."
  12. I guess the ND people really believe in this guy. Signed through 2015! Should pretty much squash any rumors of an NFL return. Personally, I wonder, why ink the guy to a ten-year contract when he's coached all of 7 games?
  13. Sounds like Rove isn't exactly in the clear, rather still under investigation.
  14. Because he's really benching the offensive line, but he can't.
  15. From John "I masquerade as being a smart man" Clayton's preview of the Bills-Pats: Hadn't heard that before. Our run-defense woes have to be a bit magnified by a sore Sam, esp. if he doesn't have the kind of help up front that he's been used to with Phat Pat.
  16. MSNBC link Wonder what Bush's next move is? Does he go more conservative, or definite MOR? My guess is the former...
  17. If MW can't go, the freak gets the nod. Here's hoping he outperforms Jerman at least. I'd like to see that clown on the inactive list for the rest of the year, injured or not. It'll be a tough task against a hungry NE front 7. Go Peters! Go Bills!
  18. Happy late B-day, gantrules!
  19. Dude, it's on the front page of the NYT online. Chill out.
  20. Displaying once again, that America's taste in music sucks.
  21. I'm pretty thankful for the fact that I'm going to be driving home from a wedding during this game. I can't take any more Pats bone-stroking a la what we witnessed in last year's Sunday night ESPN game.
  22. Link on this? I won't believe it till I see it.
  23. Sorry, just contributing to the general inanity. Thought it was as valid for discussion as some of the football topics of late.
