  1. For the love of god, I wish someone would tell me! I think Willis will be talking about it on the NFL Network.
  2. Or is it a simple complexity?
  3. I wish y'all would quit it with this hateful lovefest.
  4. Sure, I was just continuing the argument! EDIT: My point was, regardless of just how dire it is we should take the longview and be better stewards of the earth for our grandkids and beyond. Not, "hey, things aren't so bad, carry on with the wastefulness," which is what these guys would like. I've got all the chompers and can't skate that well, but all the same I've got a feeling I will soon receive a call from Darcy.
  5. I did notice. You did choose to post it for a reason, no?
  6. Really? Awesome, then there's no problem! Fire up the Hummer so we can drive across the street to spread the news to our friends!
  7. Check out the splits on this link About halfway down there's a Games 1-8, 9-16 split. Games 9-16 are quite a bit better. Again, not great, but they indicate progress. EDIT: I also noticed his warm weather stats were pretty decent (80.1 rating). The kid has some work to do in the cold.
  8. Sorry, I didn't mean our specific "plan" there. I meant behind the initiative to "do something," as JSP suggests.
  9. The 'beached whale' philosophy. I like it.
  10. I say go with the Bills' philosophy. Age ain't nothin' but a number: James Patrick Dale DeGray Bill Hajt Mike Ramsey
  11. If trying to resolve it involves going forward without much of a plan for it, then, yes, doing nothing might indeed be better. Or, what the hell, maybe even getting more people behind the plan first might have been a good idea. But I'm not willing to go down the road this argument leads to again.
  12. Thanks for posting that. Hradek hasn't really covered the East much at all. Nice to see him giving the Sabes some props.
  13. We'll see. They're trying to build a line of penetrators (I feel dirty saying that). I think the logic is that the big guys wear down over the course of a game and the course of a season (Sam did this for sure). I'm not sure I buy it 100% but I'm willing to give Jauron the benefit of the doubt. One thing I do like is the idea of rotation and getting hungry guys in there consistently, battling each other for playing time and also keeping fresh.
  14. You just gotta hope your depth can rise to the occasion. Monday, that didn't happen. I don't think much was expected of Janik or Jillson, but the obvious desire is to see those guys exceed your expectations. Jillson did, Janik didn't. Based on last night's play alone and not much else, I say Jillson warrants another go and I'd pray to the hockey gods that Teppo is back Friday. What is the major knock on Jillson? I remember him racking up some points a few years ago and then kind of losing his way. With Rory, what you see is what you get. He can make some things happen on offense but he is pretty likely to be part of a bad giveaway and be in a bad position on the ensuing goal by the opponent. He frustrates to no end, but he's not a complete wash. I'm much more comfortable with him at No. 6 than I am at No. 5 or *gasp* No. 4.
  15. No, I wouldn't. But I'd drive the speed I'm going and if someone wants to tailgate me going 85 with a semi to the right of me, I'd be pretty pissed off.
  16. That would be a hell of a start.
  17. Same here. When I do drive the highway, I keep it around 74-ish and try to move out of the way when anyone needs me to. I'm generally going fast enough that I'd be passing and moving left and right too much. Doesn't excuse the idiots who feel the need to go 90 and make it dangerous for everyone. I especially hate people who just weave through the lanes doing 20-30 mph over like it's NASCAR without the ultra-safe cars and helmets.
  18. Ironic. Isn't driving too fast against the rules of the road?
  19. When is the army going to invent the exploding phone call?
  20. Dunno. 'Round these parts I'm a young'n and I still know Sestak should be surviving for awhile.
  21. I thought Chandler and am surprised to see Sestak at no. 2.
  22. Or you could take the hefty prison-labor contracts that are already going on and make sure that the money goes to the right places. It's not by accident that politicians lobby to have more prisons and stiffer sentences for victimless crimes.
  23. Or we could look for a third way and adapt to a different way of life, but one that's better than no life.
