  1. Hell yes. Just in time for my fantasy team, the McCargonauts, to reign supreme.
  2. Damn you, sun! Let's bomb it. I'm waiting for the "War on Mosquitos."
  3. I don't hate anybody, but I don't think much of a position of absolutes. That's what you're taking here. I could point out issue A to Z where so-called conservatives are not dealing with reality (i.e. abstinence-only sex-ed). If you want to talk real conservatives, fine, but good luck pointing out many of them who hold office in the USA. We still love you, Joe. C'mon, give us a hug.
  4. Sure, but if for some reason he performs like he did in that Rose Bowl, what the hell? That deal will be commensurate for him. At the very least, it'll be very difficult for him to be able to hold out on this deal later on. I like Vince and he may just have me end up liking the Titans. Which is really a hard bargain as I've never liked that team.
  5. I don't think Tim was terrible. I thought Sam Adams looked stellar in some games and bad in others. Anderson fared just OK for a first-time starter. I expect good things from Tripplett, and for McCargo to push for playing time and to be the #1 NT.
  6. Ladies and gentlemen, you just heard the sound of damage control.
  7. You know I love your disdainful, literal reading of everything I post, but nowhere did I say she said this in this article. She has, in other commentaries, made statements about drug addicts and the stupidity of legalizing drugs.
  8. Also says, Reebok played a key part in design.
  9. Quinn says new unis will indeed have "sabres" or "swords" on them.
  10. I don't consider myself misinformed, I've just been informed via enough overheard playback of Steely Dan that I don't care for their music, and their "ha, ha, aren't we clever now," ways.
  11. As long as he comes on here on 9/24 and predicts they'll be unveiling them that day
  12. Good deals, agreed. Anyone keeping a running tab on the Sabres' team salary so far? We need a Sabres' clumpy.
  13. Inkman, I don't love the guy and I surely hate his team, but Culpepper to Moss was a freaking vicious fantasy combo. When Daunte had his wheels a few years back, he was a ridiculous fantasy force. I can't say the same for him now, but I wouldn't say he's always disappointed. Yes, the fumbles hurt, but that guy would put up 40 point games for me on a regular basis.
  14. Injuries can and will happen to anybody. It's amazing how frequently people forget how much luck has to do with winning in this league. About the only thing one can do to curtail the injuries is to hire good strength and conditioning people, and then to ensure that your players follow their specific programs. Still, I'd guess this probably only helps stop about 10% less injuries from happening, compared leaguewide. It's a physical, demanding game.
  15. More likely: "I am proud to announce the NHL's first ever 'Design-Our-Uniforms' contest. Please visit sabres.com or your local Tops markets to get a free box of Crayolas and a Sabres coloring book. The lucky winner will receive front-row seats at the Aud/Bass Pro for all Sabres home games." JP Era would be so there.
  16. They should definitely be making Briere wear the ugliest ones.
  17. My friend, you can post without replying to yourself.
  18. Ah, what the hell. I like a good train wreck.
  19. A friend (a big Wilson bros fan) emailed this to me. I'm pretty sure he found it on a website related to them.
  20. That's kind of the point. The band wrote the letter, which only accentuates their lameness.
  21. Hint: I don't like Steely Dan and I thought it funny that they basically took the initiative to make themselves look like bitter washed up pricks. I think it's hilarious. Especially their informal writing style that is trying to sound so hip it's like "The Dude" wrote it in all seriousness.
  22. How freaking clear do I have to make it that I don't think that "the community and dialogue are limited to leftist thoughts? This was me: In fact, there's a lot of entrepreneurship around the Dead of which I'm sure you're well aware. Capitalists should be plenty proud of them. My question is, how dare a conservative smoke pot and then condemn other people who do it as criminals? Claim to enjoy friendly exchange and then call people who simply disagree with her treasonous? I'm sorry, she is the hypocrite.
  23. I see both. And I do see an inconsistency, if only because I think one of the things she seems to appreciate is the community and dialogue among Deadheads, whereas her politics are all about putting down another side. I surely don't think it's impossible to like the Dead and be conservative, or to like the Dead and not do drugs. It just sounds like the person in that interview is generally a different person(a) from the one she inhabits on TV and in writing.
