  1. That song's originally by a British band from the mid-90s called Pulp.
  2. why didn't they just make it out of stonewashed denim and go for the trifecta?
  3. Just give it time and watch some videos of liposuction and really, you'll think it looks great in no time.
  4. It's a beautiful thing. Glad he's a Sabre for the next three.
  5. That's why he fits right in here at tsw, Fins fan or not.
  6. If you don't treat every game like a must-win, you don't deserve to be in the NFL. I hope they're concentrating (not worried) about this week. What happens next week is next week's business.
  7. You know how sometimes they don't screen movies early for review when they are going to bomb, for damage control purposes? Think on that one.
  8. It's been on the news a lot here in NYC. I actually heard people talking about it on the subway.
  9. He was mentally flattening them as he was being tackled.
  10. Not if you don't want there to be. There have been about 20 bands mentioned in this thread that have put out material in the last 10 years. Problem is, record labels are so lousy these days that you have to search them out.
  11. Ol' Meathead's gotta be pretty inspiring in that locker room, what with his fake-ass tough guy mentality, his pitting the players against themselves, and his confounding plays. The only saving grace for Dolphins fans might be that Tom Clements was possibly the, um, "brains" of the Buffalo offensive operation -- to use both the terms "brains" and "operation" very liberally. I'm hoping not, though. A good Miami derailing is always, always, oh-so-fun to watch.
  12. We won't be seeing Youboty this weekend. He'll be inactive after all the time he's missed (which I have no problem with whatsoever). He had a lot to take care of as the next in line to provide for his siblings. Family comes first. But hopefully football will give this guy an outlet and an escape, or if not, something to drive and be inspired by after his loss -- rather than the despair and general excuse it became for Mike Williams.
  13. All's I gotta say, pal, is, enjoy your helping of Mularkey. Whoooo-eee.
  14. That's a lot of passing.
  15. Yeah, it's great to be able to do it. I mean, I wish I could go to more Bills and Sabres games, but this is definitely a treat. You should by all means go and check out the Open whenever you get the chance.
  16. Watch Nadal and Federer play each other and tell me that's boring. Watch it live, tell me it's boring, and we'll just simply agree to disagree. And if you find 22 guys grunting and patting each other on the ass cool, yet 2 guys separated by 20 yards grunting is a problem, explain that to me.
  17. Not sure what the fall release date is on it, but Babel, directed by Alejandro Gonzalez Inarritu (21 Grams, Amores Perros) looks really good.
  18. It's pretty much solo, out of home, editing work and I have most of the equipment I need, and I bill production houses for the work out of my place. I do some run-out recording gigs here and there. Aside from the liability risks of not incorporating, is there anything else major that going INC buys you as compared to DBA?
  19. I'm working as a freelance sound engineer. BTW, thanks everyone so far. I'd love to hear about the advantages/disadvantages to incorporating vs. DBA.
  20. I know there are a few good legal minds on the board and I'm not asking for any free legal advice, just a simple request on what's the best way to file for Doing Business As (DBA) in NY. Google's turned up a few sites but I have no clue as to what's reliable and what isn't. Any PM or posted pointers would be perfect.
  21. That's awesome. Now that good ol' W's driven the price down, no thanks to those tree huggers, with our infinite oil supply we can enjoy $2.50 gas forever.
  22. That's a great record. I used to be huge into the bootlegs and had a lot of good R.E.M. cassettes. Haven't listened to them in a good long while, though. Even so, their unplugged set was great. Surprised they never released it. Some other choices of mine: Miles Davis / Cellar Door Sessions Coltrane / Live at the Village Vanguard Tony Conrad and Faust / Outside the Dream Syndicate Alive Richard Buckner / Live at Schubas Tavern Dylan / any of the bootleg series that have come out including Live 1975, 1964, 1966. I also have a couple Fugazi shows that they've started selling online. Good stuff.
  23. Red zone O does need to contribute, and run-stuffing would be nice, but, it starts and ends with the O-line. If they can't do it, then the rest of the offense falls apart. The nice thing is that it looks like plays are being called that suit the strengths and minimize the weaknesses of this line. (If improved offensive play-calling were up there, I might yet have chosen that.) I think the defense will not look great, but will help itself out of jams with turnovers. Because of this and because of a talented but raw offense, we will win some games we shouldn't and lose some games we ought to win. Edit: also, red zone doesn't need to be nearly as high on the list if JP is tossing the sick bombs for TDs.
  24. Is there a trailer for this floating around? Can't find one.
  25. He'd be great if we're really planning on using a lot of dump-offs in this offense.
