  1. You guys disparaging one of the board's finest and most thoughtful posters in KtFaBD is really pathetic to witness. It appears pretty obvious to these eyes that you haven't been reading what are some very objective football posts. If you want to disagree with him on the merits of what he writes, fine. If you want to make some dumb joke about cripple fights, go share your intellectual social commentary on a South Park message board where you will fit right in with the pantheon of people with nothing to say and tons of time to say it.
  2. Phillies aren't on?
  3. That's why you can always lean back on Milwaukee. The BEAST.
  4. Under a coaching staff that knows what to do with them. And minus the highest pick Donahoe made. Those are two huge strikes. Mularkey's mishandling of the Losman situation was No. 3. Outta there, have a seat. Next batter.
  5. I think a Bills win means more than a Sabres win. Like you said, less games, big opponent, both are away games, but losing an away hockey game is not as big of a deal, I think. You'll get the opponent again. There would be no shame (though plenty of anger and annoyance) in the Sabres losing to the Canes. The high would be nice, but it wouldn't beat the elation of the Bills going over .500 for the first time in ages and beating an apparent Super Bowl contender in their own house.
  6. Right you are. I can't read. I still think the run needs to be established. We can only do that if we maintain possession and don't turn the ball over. I stand by the rest of my statements and reserve the right to change my mind.
  7. If we win this game it means that the rebuilding project is WAYYY ahead of schedule. It doesn't mean playoffs, but it means that this team can compete with any team on any day. I think it's one more playmaker on each side of the ball and one more O-lineman away from a serious threat.
  8. With that said I would love to see more mixing it up with the run game. Really one-dimensional with Thomas all of a sudden when I thought he was going to be a great change of pace after game one. I wonder if he might be injured or at least nicked up a bit.
  9. I wouldn't use Seattle without its No. 1 weapon as much of an arbiter of what we should do. Especially since that weapon is a versatile running back. I think we might have a tad more success up the middle against these guys than against some of the other teams we've faced. They are No. 21 against the run. In some ways, they kind of mirror what we try to do, which is deal with giving up some yards on the run and tighten up in the short situations. Bend, don't break, as it were. In any case, the run MUST be established and that means turnover-free football, again. It's been what's keeping this young, learning team in games. If we can somehow force a Grossman mistake it just might be possible to win this one. The one thing we need to do is force a mistake, then capitalize on it with a TD. That's been one failing of this Bills squad so far. We'll see in 4 days, won't we?
  10. "I'd rather be right than consistent," said Supreme Ct Jusice Harlan -- the son of a slaveowner who redeemed himself. There was another ex-KKK SCotUS justice who ended up being one of the most liberal of the twentieth century, IIRC. If there is truth behind the person's quest for redemption, I have no problem with it. You shouldn't, either. Besides, the Dems of the post-Civil War are a completely different party than the Dems post-FDR.
  11. ...says the guy with the rotation of boobs avatars. or that the game was against Minnesota.
  12. MF DOOM. He has a nice track on the Wu-Tang "Think Differently" record with the RZA.
  13. Banner ceremony? Are they retiring Earnhardt's number or something?
  14. Really sorry to hear about that. I hope they refund you.
  15. Jeeez, I might have to put some money down on that one.
  16. A mere flesh wound.
  17. NOOOOOOOOOOO! Christ, no.
  18. that is a truly horrible thing to say. but if it makes you feel cool, whatever.
  19. I definitely saw Williams out there today. The stat sheet on defense doesn't mean much, except for turnovers and points. Our defensive line fared much better this week than last.
  20. I'd really, really love to see us invest in a solid fullback this offseason. Whatever it takes to get a great one. I'm talking Sam Gash, Lorenzo Neal, great.
  21. Play action, and corner post in the end-zone. We succeeded with the same 2-3 pass plays today. But I'd love to see the playbook opened up a bit.
  22. Today he hit a bunch of 3rd and 5+ though. I was definitely impressed with those.
  23. You mean "THRILLHO"?
  24. Yeah. I was surprised he let two Norwood jokes happen then. But sometimes it seems like the guys who might have a Buffalo bias go completely the other way to maintain an image of neutrality. He was not so bad. It was more the coverage, sound, and T. Donahue on color that were lacking. Plus a billion commercials in the first half.
