  1. no game ever comes solely down to the last 2 minutes, and the decisions made prior matter.there is no doubt that players and mistakes made by them cost this team the game. I still don't think that those players were entirely put in the best position to succeed, especially in the red zone, and especially against a team with a great pass defense.
  2. Where did I, or anyone else, say to fire the coach? I really don't give a damn. But plenty of people were seeming to suggest that the problems didn't exist because they had won.
  3. 20 points would really be destroying them, wouldn't it? Oh, and they're 19th against the run, #1 against the pass. So, pass pass pass! I said it sucks because I wanted to see them win. No need to have your head in the sand just because they won, and I'll admit, there is probably not such a need to be critical. But I expect better. I'd be surprised if you didn't, too.
  4. It makes no difference in my sleep at night. I have a seven month-old child. This is a topic to discuss the coaching. I don't give a damn about looking prescient or anything. I want the Bills to win, period. Always happy when they win, always wanting to see better results. I am really not ready to see a 15th season of the Bills golfing during the playoffs. I think this offense is generally anemic and the coaches deserve some blame.
  5. This sounds smart but it's not taking into account the opponent's strengths. I don't need an innovator, I just want someone who is exceptional at the chess match with an opposing head coach and their personnel. Players will make mistakes, but I would put my money on this being the natural regression that was due the Bills after some pretty fortunate results (aided by great plays, no doubt). Generally speaking, this offense has been under-producing with regularity.
  6. I think it is really hard to argue with the idea that this team is, for whatever reason, very much subpar in the red zone, especially compared to how well it can play outside of it. If that is not on coaching, I'd like to know what it is. One can argue that it's players, and it's always players in the end, but the results are pointing to a larger issue.
  7. Tantrum? I know from tantrums. It's almost as if there weren't another running back on the field, I know, dude.
  8. So it's OK to not like those calls?
  9. Call what works. Strategize for the opponent you are facing in this game. This stuff is elementary. KC's coverage was on point, even if there were some openings here and there. That wasn't their best play. Keep calling your shots from the peanut gallery, man. It gets old. Maybe it looks smart to some people, but it doesn't change the result.
  10. You think it couldn't have changed the complexion of the late game play-calling? I'll admit that it might not have stopped McDumbass from wasting extra clock dancing around on the last punt return.
  11. The point was that the margin was razor-thin, and that these guys were probably neither as good as all the "shut up haterz they won" folks said those weeks, nor as bad as they look this week. Regardless, they leave points on the board with regularity. Are you going to argue with this? Argue that it's the players all you want. Who puts the players on the field? Who calls the plays?
  12. Best response is already in this thread.
  13. You know that I am not talking about this week, and that I'm clearly talking about the results of the Detroit and Minnesota games, dude. Don't be daft.
  14. And isn't it a big one?
  15. 3 plays in a row that have not worked all day? Leaving points on the board? They did get majorly f---ed by 1 or 2 calls, but still, this game was winnable.
  16. The defense brought it as usual. Jim Schwartz and his players are kicking ass. Holding a very smart QB and Jamaal Charles to 17 points should be enough to win. Those of us who cautioned that Marrone / Hackett were getting lucky and flying by the seat of their pants looked awful right this week. And that sucks, because this game was super-winnable. Leodis deserves two big X's for today, but points were left on the board by this offense more than once. This coach is wasting a pretty good team.
  17. Actually, you have to reside in Louisiana at some point to retain your "Kyle" card.
  18. Why on earth would Orton do that?
  19. It's a small wonder that team fell apart.
  20. I'm sorry, but I fail to see how that's a mark of a real leader. A real leader works like Fred Jackson, not like some kind of frat-house cop playing the seniority card. And the hint of injuring a teammate on purpose should cement your status as a douchebag, even if the new kid is being douchy.
  21. Why does this matter? Who waits until #24 (Aaron Rodgers) or the 3rd round (Russell Wilson) or the 6th (Tom Brady) or DOESN'T DRAFT HIM (Tony Romo) to draft their franchise QB?
  22. Horrible HC choices defined his tenure.
  23. Brady has never had to play against a Bill Belicheck defense, and that's all I have to say about that. Fixed.
