  1. Those saying McKelvin played pretty well were watching a different game than I was. No one says that McKelvin can't run with the top WRs, and if that was all there was to it, he'd be a top corner. He's a great athlete. But he puts himself in bad position frequently, does not look back at the QB or the ball, and has poor ball instincts (4 INTs in 3+ years is piss-poor for a top-draft-pick CB). His awareness hasn't gotten better, and he doesn't look in command of the game at a time when he should be looking like a veteran defender. To boot, emulating his guru Dick Jauron, he thinks he played pretty well yesterday despite his failures. No doubt Moore and Campbell played lights-out. But they also picked on McKelvin all day, which says something to me.
  2. All Brad smith does is get first downs. I'm not mad at that.
  3. To be fair, the red sox broadcast booth isn't the most class-inducing environment. Still: f&$&'em.
  4. Kenny Albert always comes across as perma-drunk, and not fun-drunk, just inarticulate- and incorrect-drunk.
  5. There really isn't. I blame the rest of the team, the media, and the cereal manufacturers who haven't stepped up to the plate to produce Frosted Sanch-O's and Handsome Winnerflakes (save 3 UPCs to obtain a free issue of GQ).
  6. The man had a cereal. A CEREAL, for crying out loud. First you get the cereal, then you get the women, then you get the Super Bowl.
  7. Actually, a big problem with Losman and Edwards (and the lines blocking for them) was that they couldn't cash in on good field position with regularity.
  8. Exactly! Especially when he is a handsome winner.
  9. If we're being honest here, some of the NFL's biggest sponsors are brewing companies. It'd be highly hypocritical at best, for Goodell or any league authority to even wag a finger at Brady, given some of the ads that run during the games. People are responsible for their behavior, and if Brady wants us to think of his fans as drunken M!@#$s, what's a little factual accuracy when dealing with the public?
  10. He has played good playoff football, but he has also played god-awful at times and his team often wins despite him. His upside profile is Eli Manning, not Johnny Unitas like some people think. The Flutie reference, of course! I must have been too entranced by the sight of Flutie's many Super Bowl rings and busy reading recaps of his many playoff conquests to have noticed. I was especially impressed by his winning attitude towards leaving his receivers hung out to try, and that magical fumble in the 1998-99 Dolphins playoff game. Please, accept my apology. These guys are winners, and they just win, as I've been noting.
  11. Where is Tedy Bruschi's opinion on this when we need it most?
  12. You're just jealous because you are not a handsome winner in the NFL, who wins, because you are a winner, which you are not. Might I add, you don't have "it," which is also necessary in the art of being a handsome winner.
  13. I didn't realize Sanchez played defense in addition to being entirely responsible for the offensive output of the Jets. By this logic Sanchez also averages a playoff chokejob every year.
  14. Dude, Sanchez just wins. He literally won them the game because the QB is the most important position on the field and he wins. He is also a handsome man. Can you believe how handsome he is? And also, he wins.
  15. Ah, a young Terrence McGee? I kid... Links: http://www.nfl.com/combine/profiles/terrence-wheatley?id=328 http://www.fftoolbox.com/nfl_draft/profile_display.cfm?prospect_id=1261 http://www.patriotsdaily.com/2010/05/terrence-wheatley-lost-in-the-mix/ Can't say I disagree with raiding depth from the likes of the Pats (I know, by way of Jags), Cowboys & Steelers, as they seem to have been doing.
  16. Color me surprised that a 2008 second rounder is still eligible for the practice squad. That's crazy. What's the story with this guy?
  17. Actually, it was caused by the sex with a raptor that was Gailey's punishment for Easley's having beaten him in the wing-eating contest.
  18. I cannot believe the blatant disrespect for some of this board's most reputable paleontologists, sports medicine experts, film buffs, and gourmands. If you can't see that this thread has it all, I suggest you visit the board opthalmologist.
  19. The Bills medical staff is right to proceed with caution once again. I mean, consider that we don't know how contagious a raptor bite may be, or whether Marcus himself might mutate into a raptor. Years of watching Gremlins and Jurassic Park have me convinced that this could have ended poorly for the Bills, especially if Marcus got hungry after midnight.
  20. Hey, if you're a pro, no offense need be taken. The real culprits know who they are. Most of 'em are sporting Sam Chandler jerseys.
  21. I was hoping someone would park this batting practice toss.
  22. Bleacher Report said the velociraptors were favored by 3.5. They obviously didn't see them at Sundowners the night before the game. Do you think Ralph had a handshake deal with the velociraptors to attack Easley? Those are some pretty tiny, useless hands, but a deal is a deal.
  23. I'm floored that so many amateur doctors on this board could have gotten this wrong when they've had all preseason to evaluate Easley, plus WebMD, a middle-schooler's knowledge of STDs, and some prior history with bad chicken wings.
  24. Wow, man. I am so sorry to hear that. It definitely puts some things in perspective. I wish you and your family all the best as you try to put it back together. At least you have your family. I certainly hope for a Bills win for you, but also for a whole lot more good to come your way.
  25. NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!
