  1. Thanks, Marv! Thanks for the UDFA star running back. Nice find. Thanks also for drafting a first round RB bust, a DT bust that you traded up for, a plethora of CBs, and all those victories. Also thanks for Dick Jauron. Without his extreme futility the bills probably would have attracted a more "name candidate" as successor, which, it turns out, would not have been good. It's worked out, but I thank Marv only for the memories of the seasons in which he helped the team get to the Super Bowl.
  2. I'll be fine as long as they win the last game they play this season (in week 21)!
  3. Nice. Super Bowl MVP would be even nicer.
  4. It doesn't have to be great to be fun.
  5. Wasn't mularkey an OC? The way I see it, we finally got a guy who adapts his philosophy and strategy to what he has, and looks for ways to neutralize what the other team does best.
  6. Yeah, that game sucked!
  7. Um, Belicheck was fined $500K, the team $250K, and they lost a #1 draft pick in 2008. Does that sounds like a loophole to you, or a pretty clear statement that he was skirting the rules of the league? I would be PISSED. OFF. if Chan or Buddy did something to lose this team a first-rounder and made this team look less legitimate to anyone. No bones about it. It would be the ultimate in naivete to suggest that this is the first and only time BB ever circumvented the rules to gain an edge. Faking injuries in SBXXV, coaching players with intent to injure (if Wilfork were a Bill, I'd want a squeaky-clean record, no F-ups, after one transgression, and I'd let him go if he continued to make my team look bad. Let's not forget Rodney Harrison, either). The guy has won, but not always in the most honorable ways.
  8. Finally, we can get back to hating Peter King.
  9. I ordered my Wood jersey today. It's happening.
  10. That the game isn't over with 5 minutes left in the second quarter?
  11. Enough with the dick jokes. "The Woodshed" is a nickname worthy of this line and its mentality, and its namesake is the guy who did to John Henderson last week - took him out to the Woodshed. These guys are playing tough, doing the little things right, and chopping holes in defenses for Freddie. "You can do things on a football field that are severely illegal on the street." - Eric Wood.
  12. The Bills won because once again I missed the first quarter and got to the bar late. I've done this for every game thus far.
  13. 1. Bill from NYC, I hope you didn't write one of these because you are celebrating your a$$ off. 2. No matter where you were watching the game from, you wanted to be at the Ralph today. This was truly special, and it looked and sounded like the fans were, too. 3. There were breaks today that went the Bills' way (#1 among them - Ochocinco's drop). Savor them. They surely factored into this win, but when could you not say the same when the tables have been turned for the past 15 of these matchups? 4. I am forever leading the charge that QBs do not have W-L records, and they don't win the game on their own, but Fitzy is a winner and this team believes in him. Everyone. Not since Jimbo's time has the team felt like this (and I'm including Flutie and Drew at their best). 5. I've felt good about Bills wins before, but not in years has it felt this good. 6. Chan Gailey is the right coach for these Buffalo Bills. 7. The team could use some more talent in the pass rush, and they need to stick with press coverage on guys like Welker, from where I stand. Still, they didn't die by a thousand cuts today, and that was good. 8. 4 INTs on Brady. That's the stuff dreams are made of. 9. Bill Belicheck can kiss my a$$. Genius? Maybe. Classless? For certain. I yelled at the TV for him to put on a shirt during his little tirade. 10. GO BILLS!
  14. Agreed. Thought that might be the pivot point of the game but more importantly, i like the guy and hope he's ok.
  15. Screw Stanford. Harvard!!!
  16. Chan gailey is the man. Period. He's the man for this team and he is a smart man trying to be the smartest on the football field. He isn't trying to "outsmart" anyone a la Martz. He is just calling a great game. And his rapport with his winning QB is making our dreams a reality. Let's all enjoy this win a lot and gun for the playoffs. Just win!!!!
  17. F---ing awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
  18. Oh sh--, I figured the Pats took practice off all week and didn't care if they beat the Bills, but this will surely motivate them. They obviously need Kyle Williams to get them to focus on their game.
  19. I haven't had great luck at Bonnie's, but I've been having fun going to Red Star Bar in Greenpoint where they have every game on, with a nice and loud crowd of Bills fans.
  20. Knock Tom Brady down Let him taste turf of the Ralph Bills pass rush means win
  21. I think it's nice that the school will let Matt write his little article during study hall. The children are the future.
  22. Difference being opposing defenses aren't throwing in Asomugha's direction, and they are targeting McKelvin. I'd have to dial up the stats on targets but I can guarantee you Leodis sees way more balls thrown his way than does Asomugha. This is where you need more context for stats. I'm saying that if a guy is going to get burned to the totals put up against McKelvin yesterday, I'd rather it were because he were trying to make a play on the ball than because he was there in "perfect position" and still didn't do anything. I guess he forced Campbell to throw a perfect ball and for Moore to make great catches, but I'd rather he didn't give such big cushions, made plays on the ball, and made the WR pay occasionally at the line of scrimmage.
  23. Kelly, are you satisfied with 4 picks from this guy in 3+ years? For some perspective, Antoine Winfield, never known as a ball-hawk, had five in his first three years. Winfield could cover with the best of them and play the run, though. I'm not seeing that from Leodis.
