  1. Boy, I wonder what amazing twists and turns the Tim Tebow story must have that haven't been told on television about 300,000 times. I should run to my local library.
  2. Tebow wrote a book (well, I'm sure he didn't "write" it)? Jesus.
  3. Actually, in the Wannstedt D, his role is "fit the gap, execute, and see what happens."
  4. No one will ever be the equal of the great Bryce Smith or Jim Kellie, that's for sure.
  5. I'm gonna give Dareus a free pass this season. This experience has to be just devastating. If I lost my brother in any way, I'd be despondent. If someone else killed him in violent fashion, I'd be in a complete existential crisis and I don't know how well I'd be able to do my job, which is in a far lower-pressure environment than Dareus'. He's a human being first, people. I agree, though, if he needs time, Chan should just give it to him and let Carrington play. However, Dareus also seems like a proud man who is unlikely to admit that he needs that time. Tough situation. Also: repeat - Dareus is not here for sacks. When he gets them, great, but his role in the defense is different than Watt's.
  6. I think if Fitzy didn't show flashes of pure awesomeness, his ducks and wild overthrows of an open SJ13 downfield wouldn't be so hard to take. His play is just tantalizing enough to drive you nuts when he can't cash it in. Gailey has actually made the most of him, and he is often making the right play calls while Fitz can't execute them. Furthermore, he has been pressing most of the year to the point where he throws an INT at the most inopportune moments. Fitz is a nice guy and I like him as a backup, but it's never been clearer that he is not an NFL starter for a playoff team, especially one with a defense this poor. He just can't be trusted enough. I'll bet anyone here that he will not quarterback this team to the playoffs. +10000
  7. The whole team misses him. But, Fitz has to hit the receivers that are (often wide) open. The opportunities are there, and they are either being left on the table, or thrown 7 yards past it.
  8. As mentioned, who knows about the credibility of these sites, but the Bills should jump at any offer of a first rounder for any single player on this team excepting maybe Dareus and Spiller, so they can be armed with enough picks to ensure they can draft a franchise QB.
  9. I have to say I am taken aback at how bad they are. The backers are nothing special but they made some good plays yesterday. It's that the DL cannot stop the run that is just so alarming. I have to feel like this is Wannstedt's fault. These guys could all be good players. I'm stupefied. Wannstedt obviously had some success in the past but he appears to be behind the curve in today's NFL. Other teams have found the holes and they consistently exploit them.
  10. 92-93 Jays. Haven't had a better feeling in sports since.
  11. Was gonna ask if Belicheck would be fined for gaming the injury report every week to deceive other teams, but fat chance. And call me a complainer, but that has real repercussions, because now we actually don't know if Brady is going to miss a game or if he just has a bruised bikini line.
  12. I don't mind if they win, as long as they do EVERYTHING in their power, and even surrender some power, to get the QB of the future. It's clearly the #1 problem here, and the thing holding many of the good pieces on this team back.
  13. "Lack of toughness" is such a meaningless critique. I'm not saying it's wrong; it is unquantifiable, though. I think if you want to talk about things you can actually see on film, they are just not well-coached enough to be in the right position on plays. They are predictable and when teams know what to do against them, it becomes very easy. Ryan, Belicheck and Harbaugh have each demonstrated this, now. No one should be running on Kyle Williams and Dareus. This kind of thing has to be figured out.
  14. If we'd only kept Vince Young we could have been working towards having the best team of 2009.
  15. Happy that the guy has found some peace after losing his son. I wouldn't wish that on anyone. He certainly didn't perform to expectation here and I don't want to see him succeed on the football field elsewhere. But he's still a human being and he doesn't seem like a bad one, just not the great football player we'd hoped for.
  16. I'll own up to that one, though! We may not need to do it intentionally, FWIW.
  17. Why don't you go watch what happened to his knee and tell me if it's reasonable to expect him to be 100% right now? For the OP: you can talk negatively about a player as long as we can talk negatively about your unfounded original point based on a minimum of evidence.
  18. Are you !@#$ mental? Are you basing your opinion on a whole six carries, plus a few more coming back (probably too early) from injury? I hope to God you are not responsible for anything involving science or statistics.
  19. It might be tough to get into a grove, but once you're there you can't see the forest for the trees.
  20. The past 24 hours alone we've seen: 1) We hate Fred Jackson and he's finished (not injured, just finished). 2) Fire Chan Gailey 3) Fire Dave Wannstedt 4) Hire Jim Haslett 5) Some a--hole starting a thread "RIP Ralph" 6) Hire Wade Phillips (no problem that he is under contract with one of the conference's best teams) 7) Was Vince Young that bad? 8) Hire Bill Cowher (because we haven't tried that before) 9) Trade for Jason Campbell 10) Hire Mike Nolan This fanbase deserves a team this dysfunctional.
  21. We traded a draft pick for Rob Johnson, so you could say drafting, trading and free agency are not our strong suits. Undrafted Free Agency is where the Bills come to play hard.
  22. The imaginary line.
  23. Draft position?
  24. If I had I'd be asleep instead of wasting my time here.
