  1. Seems like Corey Louchiey deserves a nomination. Here's a third-rounder drafted when we needed a tackle in those years in the desert post-Wolford. He sucked. Panos sucked, too, but they got a 16-game season out of him and he was lost to injury more than anything else. Crafts was an 11th round scrap heap pickup, so I think if we're adhering to the expectations / performance criteria, Louchiey edges him.
  2. First season has him starting, second does not. PFR's info can be spotty though.
  3. Does it really work that way? I thought you could use franchise or transition, not both.
  4. I do like being able to look at base salary and cap hit there (among the choices to view). If you click each individual player you get their specific contract details year by year.
  5. Especially where are we going to find one that is 1) cheaper 2) won't take a long time to adjust to a new team 3) at least as good or better than Levitre Sounds like a player that everyone will want i.e. pay more for. Do people even think when they post this stuff?
  6. He was a big FA signing for the time and was injured all the time, IIRC.
  7. Reggie Germany. LB "prospects" Jay Foreman Jeff Posey Reggie Torbor Maybe some from the 70s and early 80s that others can remember better... Others: Trey Teague Pierson Prioleau (Gregggggo's obsession) Mickey Washington (CB from 80s)
  8. Can't believe how many decent tackles are available this offseason.
  9. I think it's the name that evokes a dwarf from the Hobbit. This is the Internet, after all. Consider the audience.
  10. Analogy for your choices between Vick and Fitz.
  11. This site has been useful to me: http://www.spotrac.com/top-salaries/nfl/average/guard/ Glenn won't be a free agent until 2016.
  12. I think there's rationale for a six-year deal with around $10-12 million in signing bonus and a four-year average salary close to $8 million. The dude is 26, you're paying for his prime, he is top-10 in the league at LG at least, and he provides continuity and positional flexibility. That gives you his best years, it gives him some financial security and then some, doesn't pay him Mankins money but secures him and the line for the long term.
  13. Brammer's the only one of those guys I don't remember that well. Euhus definitely makes Royal look like Antonio Gates.
  14. Agreed, especially since the guy is a monster run blocker. The only way I see them letting Levitre go is if they are truly committed to a different style of play than he offers. Personally, I think that's ludicrous.
  15. Buster Barnett, Tony Hunter (drafted ahead of Jim Kelly!!!?), Mark Brammer? Sheldon Jackson? TIM EUHUS!
  16. Yes! Jerman was actually worse at his job than pucillo. Well done. I thought we had hit a football nadir with these guys on the field. Also there are probably some guys from that 1987 scab roster that deserve to be in there.
  17. There had to have been some golden ones in there. This should be another thread, but I wonder if people from the 60s and 70s saw worse football then than we are seeing today, or if this is truly an all-time low.
  18. I feel like I deserve an award for sitting and enduring watching that shlub try to play professional football. Duke Preston also deserves the opposite of major props for hiking the ball into his own a$$.
  19. There are players who do that (and I don't care for them) but I've actually never seen Stevie do that.
  20. Revis is a fever dream. I could see Landry ending up in B-lo, especially if for some reason they decide to let Byrd go. Actually, it would be the only reason to let Byrd go (and still not a very good one).
  21. Even the freaks have a tough time staying healthy: see Hernandez, Gronk, Graham. Gonzo is one that comes to mind with a pretty healthy career.
  22. I wanna see that "reliabilty meter" with Soprano and nevergiveup and the others on it again. Clayton has got to be in the teens.
