  1. Isn't he an evangelical Christian?
  2. I know that's not what you meant, but this makes the Bills sound like some mob thugs. "Think ya can play GUARD, do ya Zebrie? How you gonna play without any knees, pal?" THWACK.
  3. HA! Where does Fitz's release factor in there? The graph would start looking like a deep pass from The Amish Rifle.
  4. Indeed. Different players, but I'd be comfortable with bringing in Amendola or DHB. There are other guys out there, too, a good number of them upgrades over Jones and even Nelson.
  5. If they can get QB-WR in Rounds 1 & 2, and secure another LB or two in FA, I am totally fine with getting a guard in Round 3-4.
  6. That seems like a decent pickup for them.
  7. :wallbash: :wallbash: :wallbash: :wallbash: :wallbash:
  8. How is he a failure? He's simply too expensive for the Raiders relative to his production. No one is asking him to come in and be Jerry Rice or even Stevie Johnson. They want a guy who can stretch the field and put up about 800 yards, which is exactly what he has done. That seems like a more mature, nuanced opinion than "he plays for bad team, therefore he's bad."
  9. I'd have more fun with that because he could at least present the shade of his former greatness on an NFL field. Tebow, I don't know what you'd see there except a lot of repeats of that Bills-Broncos game with us on the receiving end of the ass-kicking. The book is out on Tebow - if it weren't, the Jets would have used him more.
  10. Are you asking me a question? No, they aren't. You're adorable.
  11. Marshal Yanda on Baltimore, Justin Blalock on Atlanta. There are a couple good ones.
  12. No one thinks he is irreplaceable (I don't think), but they thought he was a solid reserve who could step in and start if they needed him to. At least, that's how I felt. He was an OK Plan B. Now, Plan A and Plan B are out and they need a starter and a reserve, with the better players getting scratched off the market daily. That's all.
  13. Explain how? The psychological drama at TBD doesn't count. I'd rather bring back Flutie than bring in Tebow.
  14. That's fine, he can be upgraded upon. I just want to see that happen before they are left scraping the bottom of the barrel.
  15. I don't know, but how many times does a guy have to post his stats in the thread for you to believe that he's actually basing his evaluation on production?
  16. Guess we better get used to the TJax show, or trading back into the first for the QB they want. Well, now it's time for all those people who talked about how guards are a dime a dozen to be proven right, because the Bills now need two, including a starter. And drafting one at #8 would tell me the Bills don't exactly think they're a dime a dozen.
  17. Presuming the Bills actually spend it, and that players are prepared to take it from them to come here and play good football, I agree with you. That's a big presumption given past history, last year's Mario bonanza notwithstanding.
  18. No, but I'm sure the Titans used something like it in their evaluation of him.
  19. Thank you. I don't think there is disrespect for Levitre's game necessarily, but I think people are really underestimating him. I think he is worth top-5 guard money, especially since in two years it will be top-10 guard money with the way the contracts tend to escalate. That said, is it the right move for the Bills to bust their budget on him? I don't know. I sure wish that we knew they had at least given him an offer.
  20. It's not your fault. No, really. It's not your fault.
  21. To be fair, he could probably throw for 3000 yards total over the course of three seasons as a starter.
  22. Do you think they would take a run at Pitta?
  23. I think it could be interesting to see each poster's vision of plausible best-case and worst-case scenarios force this offseason, so I thought I'd start by sharing mine. By plausible, I mean things you think are within the realm of possibility. So, no on trading for Russell Wilson, but maybe on trading for Matt Flynn. Draft pick trades should be somewhat conservative and not Maddening. The other rule is that we're not factoring in catastrophic injuries, which are of course the true worst-case scenario. Mine: Best case - - Draft Geno Smith at #8 - find a starting WR in round 2. Sign Amendola to round out the WR corps. - sign Jason Campbell to a one year contract with a team option for a second year to compete for starter position - good value replacement at LG - Brandon Moore?(the real best case would have been keeping Levitre IMO) - Two quality LBs in free agency, and one in the first three rounds of the draft - sign Dennis Pitta at TE, or Fred Davis to a bargain contract - sign CB Sean smith , hurting the dolphins, and move Aaron Williams to safety - sign Beanie Wells as your short yardage back Worst case - - lose Levitre (check), replace from within or by drafting a guard at #8 OR CB at #8 (HT to Bill in NYC) - trading picks to get back into the first round to get Nassib because they are afraid he won't be there at #41. QBs - TJax, Nassib, McCown - AKA the JAG SQUAD! - hoping for a breakout season from Easley as plan A for #2 wideout - we end FA with Bradham and Moats as starting LBs - not addressing the problem at TE How about you guys and gals?
