  1. Thank you. You draft for depth. There is just no possible way the team could have PLANNED in April (or earlier, for that matter) to lose 4 of their upper-tier players in the secondary. Complaining about that is feeble and useless.
  2. Hell, I'll bet Chris Weinke is available if we want a senior citizen prospect.
  3. You're confusing the fact that it hasn't happened for the idea that they aren't trying. Trades take two teams to happen, and nobody is throwing in the towel after 2-3 games. Most teams don't have depth any better than ours, so why should they give theirs up when injuries are commonplace in the league? This is just reality in the NFL. With McKelvin, it's a thin corps but an OK one. Without him, it's a mess. Your hands are a bit tied if you want to keep these injured players or use them later in the year. You can't IR everybody, and you can't cut them either. I suppose you could look for a guy better than Justin Rogers, but then you have to answer this: if the guy is better than Justin Rogers, why doesn't he already have a job?
  4. I'm sorry, are we talking about boobs here?
  5. It's not even like they drafted any safeties.
  6. This ridiculous thread aside, I think EJ is a big enough boy that it's actually good for him to have these difficult games and learn from them. I am fully prepared to accept a year where that is the scenario, as long as he shows some steady improvement. Forest for the trees and such. I would hope you would all take 1986 again knowing that 1988 and the subsequent years would follow.
  7. Should of had more guys get injured last week. Should of.
  8. Sure, never known Fitz to make a critical mistake. That's an insult to drugs everywhere.
  9. I still call BS. There is simply no team whose #4 corner is good enough to never get burned by a top-20 receiver. I don't like the guard situation and think the FO should have worked on some better options, agreed. Who the team could have used today is a guy like Terrence McGee, were his health not an issue. He is experienced and versatile, and smart, and while he might have made some mistakes he also might have made some plays as a backup corner. It's too bad the man's body broke down on him.
  10. CJ Spiller up the middle... could we eliminate this from the playbook? There's a reason the guy got hurt today. He is not built for that ****. He is built for taking it to the house on a bubble screen or bursting through on a play action. There is not one good reason this team can't use both him and FredEx, yet no one seems to be able to come up with the formula.
  11. Does it hurt to be so rational? I'll be willing to bet that the Jets would not be nearly as good if down to their last two CBs and down their best safety.
  12. Cool story bro. Creampuffs Byrd, Gimore and McKelvin agree.
  13. Which means you're likely leaving the middle of the field for somebody. Not to mention our safeties are no great shakes without Byrd, and that the strong safety was playing CB today.
  14. This. Sometimes you've gotta tip your hat. Our talent is not good enough yet - not in protection and not at TE, which are two areas that can really help if you're trying to beat a Rex Ryan defense. The hole at LG needs to be filled, and a great receiving TE would do wonders for this team.
  15. Who else could they put out there? I'm not being facetious. Who?
  16. What on earth would the Browns do with a Pro Bowl safety coming off injury in a contract year?
  17. Bad call, especially to a WR that has bad hands, is not as fast as advertised, and is short, and is playing against a good CB. Other than that, it's a marvelous call.
  18. Rogers has made some decent plays in a supporting role. He is not a star or even a regular and he was miscast today because of injuries. I am glad you're not the coach. The point of this thread is that the Bills were in a severe deficit from the get-go due to injuries. I do hope McK's injury is not serious, and that we can get at least one of the three guys not named Brooks back in time for next week. It was rough seeing Aaron Williams back out there at CB. Your over the top help is helping out at 2CB. The secondary is ashambles right now.
  19. Honestly, I think Legursky was the guy that they wanted to have there. I don't necessarily disagree with your logic, but given that the first 4 picks seem decent (Goodwin's injury notwithstanding), you're talking about a R4 guard that is still probably going to have some issues. Duke Williams, Meeks and Gragg sure aren't doing much for us right now, though.
  20. Sure. It's obviously his fault that we had a 4th CB lined up against their A1 receiver.
  21. My thoughts exactly. Brown might be an OK backup center, but as a starting guard, he is below replacement level. Forget Levitre because he was gonna cost too much. They need to try Legursky, or anyone else. Brown was exposed -- and it's not like he has been any good to begin with. Rogers was toast, but he should not be defending Santonio Holmes even if Holmes has the plague, the flu and a broken ankle.
