  1. True. And I disclaimed that it was more of a wish-list.
  2. Do one Mr. Know-it-All and let's see how accurate it is.
  3. I know, I realized that half way through. Thus the disclaimer. But you never know.
  4. I'm getting a Coles-induced headache this week. Therefore, I need to spend some time putting together a Mock Draft. This is an attempt at a realistic wish-list, even though so many of these draft positions may change drastically in the next month. My picks in this draft make some assumptions. And they are that Buffalo will sign June or another LB to take Ellison's spot - and this may happen as early as today. Finally, I am not taking into account trades - trade up/trades down, since they are impossible to predict. Round 1 (11) - BJ Raji, DT, Boston College. I honestly don't think he will last to us. And if not, look for Pettigrew here or maybe a DE. If he does last to #11, we better jump all over this pick. Fast, strong, pro-type NFL DT with very good skills that will only be enhanced next to Stroud (and learning with Stroud). Helps solidify our line against the run. Single blockers (doubles on Stroud) will give him a chance to get sacks. Round 2 (2) - Robert Ayers, DE, Tennessee. I would kill for this guy in the second round but his stock is rising and may not last this long. He could very well be our pick at #11, so this may be wishful thinking. Adds instant cred to our DE position. Round 3 (75) - Herman Johnson, G, LSU. Beast. Long arms, strong. Huge upside at guard and compars to Leonard Davis at the pro level. With some work - and he needs some - he could be very solid. This may be a stretch here, since his size could vault him to 2nd round. Round 4 (106) - Marcus Freeman, OLB, OSU. Give us some depth at OLB. Freeman is a tackling machine and above-average in coverage. Could be a good fit for our Cover-2 (god, I hate the cover-2). Round 5 (139) - David Bruton, FS, Notre Dame. Good size and speed for a FS. Played as ND defensive captain. Good ball hawk and very athletic. Could be an above-average special teamer. Round 6 (170) - Dallas Reynolds, C, BYU. Decent size (6'4" 314), athletic, played all 3 line positions at BYU. Would provide good depth at center and guard. Round 7 (203) - Chase Daniel, QB, Missouri. Why not? It's the last pick. Very productive college career in a tough conference. ABring him in and see if he can secure the 3rd string spot.lthough I assume the Chroise will have something to say about this.
  5. Yes, it is from that movie.
  6. It's not a Toomer.
  7. Classic line. Classic movie. Stuart Mackenzie: Look at the size of that boy's heed. Tony Giardino: Shhh! Stuart Mackenzie: I'm not kidding, it's like an orange on a toothpick. Tony Giardino: Shhh, you're going to give the boy a complex. Stuart Mackenzie: Well, that's a huge noggin. That's a virtual planetoid. Tony Giardino: Shh! Stuart Mackenzie: Has it's own weather system. Tony Giardino: Sh, sh, shh. Stuart Mackenzie: HEAD! MOVE! -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- Stuart Mackenzie: I'm not kidding, that boy's head is like Sputnik; spherical but quite pointy at parts! Now that was offside, wasn't it? He'll be crying himself to sleep tonight, on his huge pillow.
  8. I know a lot of you want action, but we have a solid CB core with McGee, McKelvin, Youbouty and Corner. Do we need to spend $30+ mil to keep Greer? Give some of that money to Peters and Fred Jackson and secure their long-term contracts.
  9. I watched that Todd McShay piece and when he said "high motor" I threw up in my mouth.
  10. Looks like TJ is having an MRI on his knee today and his contract won't be finalized until the results are in. What does this mean for us? More waiting on the Coles front. http://www.profootballtalk.com/2009/03/03/...getting-an-mri/
  11. http://www.profootballtalk.com/2009/03/03/...joins-the-jets/ Someone tell me that Jim Leonard didn't hit the lottery playing next to Ed Reed last year. As we all know here, Leonard is a nice player, but nothing but an average safety with average speed. This signing is good for us. Let's hope he starts. UPDATE: http://www.profootballtalk.com/2009/03/03/...g-for-leonhard/ Why is this guy so sought after? I don't understand. Did aliens enter his body after he left Buffalo making him a superstar?
  12. Hey murra, One of my favorite movie quotes of all time: "Im gonna make Gretzky's head bleed for superfan99 over here."
  13. I guess we like it because we never have guys in the pro bowl. Nor any players that have a National profile.
  14. Holliday Released.
  15. Sign this mother!@#$er up!!!
  16. Holy sh--, that was funny.
  17. Those are all very good points. But he may be better here (than at Miami) because of the constant double team that Evans attracts.
  18. I like the rest. I just really don't like Barwin. He's too much like our current ends and I don't think he translates well to a 4-3 - maybe a 3-4. Love Raji, Robiskie and Nelson.
  19. That's exactly what we need - another under-sized, high-motor speed rusher. NO!
  20. Then why did you write this post (if you don't care)?
  21. I'll work on commission. Give me 2% of all the money I save on cuts. Kelsay, gone. McCargo, gone. Ko, gone.
  22. I don't need a pay cut to take that sh------- job. I'm just saying that we all need to chill.
  23. I think he overestimated it as well, especially with his interested in the Eagles and the Eagles lack of. I think a lot of "interest" is created by fans and media (ESPN) on where a player may "fit." TJ to Philly was a perfect example. But no one seemed to ask Philly if they were interested. And it turns out they weren't. I think both TJ and Ray Lewis may have over played their hands here. But we shall see....
  24. I can't believe the number of posts and comments I see on this board (and on some others boards, yes, I looked) that have wrote off the 2009 season because we didn't sign a big name player in Day 1 of Free Agency. It is completely moronic. Here are only a few of the posts/comments: cheap bills = 2-14 team in 2009 My message to the Buffalo Bills front office......simple (middle finger) To those still optimistic, What are you waiting for? Starting to wonder if FO is incompetent ...and many more.... Conversely, a lot of you share my attitude that this is a process and can't be completed in one short day. I can almost guarantee that we will make a big trade of pickup this weekend or next week. But because it didn't happen at 2am Friday morning, or while a bunch of you stiffs were trying to cheer up your miserable lifes/work days with Bills free agency activity, the Bills were failures/are cheap/are being outplayed by losing Fred Taylor or not overpaying for Bart Scott or Jason Brown (who less than 10% of you ever knew about before this year). Relax. Don't be such reactionary fans. Step away from your computer and relax.
  25. Well if the team likes him then I'm good with Poz. Because Ralph and team being happy is my #1 priority. Nevermind winning.
