Im sick of all the Turner trade talk. Adrian Peterson may be one of the best RB prospects to come out of college in years. Instead of using our draft picks to trade for an unproven, backup RB, let's use them (and probably more) to get Peterson. Can you imagine our offense with the new line blocking for Peterson. Plus, since AT is there to take 5-10 carriers a game, we won't have to worry about the wear and tear he had in college when he was the only or primary back. MARV....are you listening? Get it done!!!! If we are going to give up draft picks to trade for an RB, I's rather us use those picks to trade up and get Adrian Peterson. Personally, I think he much more talented than Turner and, is younger than Turner and would likely have a similar salary.

He just accepted an invite to attend the draft live and accepted. He must have some knowledge that he will be picked in the top 5, or no lower than top 8. And, before you cite Aaron Rodgers' being there and going 23rd or something, realize that he was a fluke and should never have been there in the first place. No way a player accepts an invite to attend live if he has a chance of falling to 12.

Great post. You are dead on. We all know Buffalo is a great place to grow up and live. But, we do tend to be on the defensive about the city and our teams. To the point of sounding whiny and bitchy. I agree, ignore them and let's hope we can prove them all wrong on the field this year and in the years to come.

The reasoning is this: he is now a sub-par player making 5 mil a year. Other than the first play of the season last year (in which he sacked Brady, caused a fumble and LF got a td - and then subsequently blew out his hammy) he didn't make any plays. Go back and watch the tape of games if you can. He is a step slower and had no real impact on the defense. Marv and Co love Ellison and believe he is an adequate replacement. Plus he has a 6th round pick's second year salary. One more thing to remember: we NEVER made the playoffs with Clements, Fletcher, Spikes and Willis.

Adam Schefter of NFL Network reports that it's a done deal -- the Falcons have traded quarterback Matt Schaub to the Texans. It's a sign-and-trade transaction, with the Falcons inking Schaub to a new contract and then trading him to the Texans. The use of a roster bonus and/or an option bonus due in, for example, five days will prevent the Falcons from taking a cap hit. The move most definitely means that David Carr's tenure with the team is over. He was the No. 1 overall pick in the 2002 draft. A year ago, the Texans opted to pay a bonus that extended his deal for three seasons, which took them out of the running for Houston native Vince Young. I actually think this is the smartest thing the Texans have done in years.

Exactly right. Last year, I remember interviews with Royal and the coaches saying that the TE position was limited because their main priority was to stay on the line and help the OL with blocking schemes. Assuming our OL is improved, and we have an RB/FB that can actually block, the TEs will have a lot more chances to go down field. And in turn allow better options for JP and the WRs to get open - for there will be less double coverage.

I think his problems came from Meat Head. Actually, every one was pissed on the team that year. And do you blame him? Remember, Marv drafted Eric in 96 and I bet he would like to have him back. I still think he has the talent and I believe he would be a great option for JP and the offense.

The Bills sound like (see Coach Jaron's interview today re: A-Train) they will be playing with 2 RBs this year and not one specific starter. And why not? This has worked for a number of other teams and could work for the Bills. Because of this, look for them to focus on Defense with the first pick. I think the Lynch and Peterson talk is only because we were without a quality RB until today. I think Brown signs with us tomorrow or later this week. Therefore, look for a trade down, or maybe Patrick Willis or Okoye with our first pick.
