Actually I believe it was 3rd and 14...I have no problem with the run and wouldnt of had a problem with a pass either...thats a 50/50 call in my book....You run you keep the clock moving and hope Mcgahee gets 4-5 on the draw to get you back in that 46 yard FG range...Mcgahee only gained a yard and the rest is history

Blitz was key.... Especially when everytime we blitzed Leftwich would make a bad read or just make an awful throw... I also hate the prevent defense in a one possession game...you go with what has worked the entire game....Hopefully Gray learns his lesson

I never said those plays didnt happen....All I'm saying with a new offense stuff like this happens...If Henry continues to do these things week in and week out then i will agree that Henry isnt a good back because he doesnt have the "HEAD" for the game....But it was a couple msicues in one game with a NEW offense...

I think alot of the thinknig that Travis cant catch or block comes from last season when he wasnt out there on 3rd down plays due to his rib injury(limiting his oppurtunities)....I think alot of it comes from Burns inability to do anything well on 3rd downs last season and people confuse Burns play to Travis ... so they say Travis has these "inabilities"....

Villarial did hold....The flag was warranted....its wasnt a "ghost" flag or anything like that....Worst part of it was it wasnt one of those holds were if you dont hold Mcgahee will be stuffed or hit for a loss...Mcgahee was ahead of the hold...which made it pointless.... Football 101... When running out the clock dont do anything that will get called, just block dont grasp at anything.... When its 4th and 14 dont go for the INT, "KNOCK THE BALL DOWN"

On a Play-Action the RB's assignment is to "decieve" first then if the play runs longer then usual 3-4 seconds then a block or out let option for the QB is in order...The play was busted cause Jacksonville didnt bite on play-action and played it well....not because Henry missed a any block.... Your grasping at something thats not there.....to try and make it seem like Henry was awful at pass blocking.....which he wasnt...

Thats the thing he was good....Please watch the game....How many times was Drew on his ASS?? I remember only two plays were Bledsoe was koncked down...one was a busted play that Bledsoe wisely threw away and took a hit...the other was a 3rd down strike to Moulds that Mcgahee missed the LBer blitz...Henry had a good day bottom line...

I would say a player becomes a bust when he loses his starting job or gets cut(ala Erik Flowers) A coach should get 1 and half years or so before being considered a bust.... After yesterday's game i think MM wont be a bust...He showed he knows how to manage a game....Now he just show if he can get these guys fired up, next week will be a big test for this team...

I agree with everything accept this....It was a PLAY-ACTION...The RB has no blocking assignment on a PLAY-ACTION....His duty is to sell the PLAY-ACTION...If you wanna say he didnt sell it well....ok maybe....but saying he didnt/missed block on that play makes you look foolish...It was a PLAY-ACTION....

TD doesnt think he should waste high draft pick on a DE??? Kelsay round 2...Denney Round 2....I guess you only get talent in the first round....why even bother with the rest of the draft after round 1...LoL

Why is it that you post as a guest and neglect to mention that Mcgahee did the same thing on his first run play...This is a *NEW* offense...thing like this happen... If it continues to happen Week 4 and 5 then yes i will agree with you...It's week 1...Both RB's miscued on hand-offs....big deal...

I would agree if it was obvious that Henry was the reason we didnt get in...Look at the plays again....You will see on the first play Henry gets hit at the line and bulls the DE to the 1yd line....On the second play there was absolutely no hole or push by the line....he got behind Jennings and hoped Jenning would win his block, he didnt... If Henry found a hole, wit a linebacker in there and got pushed back for a loss then i would agree....But that aint Henry, 9 out of 10 times Henry bulls the defensive players for extra yards...He is the guy i want in there on goalline plays...BOTTOM LINE

Schobel did show great awareness on run plays....Still isnt that dominate pass rushing DE but he is solid all around DE...and the best we have... I agree Williams didnt force much, and Adams did have the better game as he did blew up some plays in the backfield but its obvious they both did there job....Jags had no success running between the guards...I'd say our 30+ year old DT's looked better then there young "STUDS"

Please go away.....there was absolutely no hole there for Henry go through to score...on the goalline you need to have your offensive line get some sort of push...bottom line...Henry/Mcgahee would not have mad much difference...Our OL got beat on both run plays on the goalline Bottom Line.... As for Henry miscueing on a couple plays it happens....Hopefully he learns as well as the rest of the offense in this "NEW" offense... So you know on Mcgahee's first carry(a draw play)...He looked like he had no clue he was suppose to get the ball...it happens...

I love Clements and all but he justed doesn't have "IT" yet....He is all show right now and no HEAD.... Worst part is watching the replay of that pass...you can see Clements hold the ball up(around his shoulder pad) and Smith just snatchin it away....very said that a NFL football player with his talent doesnt know in that situation you "KNOCK IT DOWN" and win the game...

Oh c'mon....The Defense was solid even with Wire on the field...No gaurantee that they win with Milloy in there(although the added leadership wouldnt of hurt)... As for Mcgahee on goalline...WHY?? I like Mcgahee and all but Henry has had two straight double digit TD seasons....What has Mcgahee done run a couple TD's in, in preseason versus a #2 goalline Defenses....C'MON NOW

Your absolutely right.....There was two Taylor runs in a row One Wire could of stoned Taylor for a 1-2yard gain and whiffed Taylor went on for 9 yards....The very next play they ran off the right tackle(almost identical play) and Wire got another shot to stop him for 3-4yards and he whiffed again Taylor went for 12(his longest run of the day)...Wire was in the right position on both plays just didnt make the play(the tackle).... But He still not the reason we lost....

I agree that those plays also helped in our lose along with the dropped passes, the other Moulds fumble(that Bledsoe was credited with), etc. etc. But even with those miscues we had control of the entire game until Villarial's Holding Penalty.... and yes that penalty cost us the game

If you watch SportCenter this morning they have a great angle on the play....First Shelton doesnt look back right away....then after the DE/LB notice playaction they jumped the passing lane....leaving Drew with one option and that was to take the sack and go for 3....no way do you loft a pass to endzone with a possible safety looming.....If Drew decides to loft it thats a TD for Jags going the other way....

Watch SportsCenter tonight or in the morning...they showed the play from a different angle then shown in the game....you can see the LB and DE jump the pass lane(to Shelton) once they saw the ball wasnt handed off to Henry....Yes Bledsoe could of zipped it in there....but if he throws a pick there trying to force it....were out 3 points and possible INT TD going the other way...

I think Spikes is better then Arrington, McGinnest, Thomas and bout the same level as Urlacher and Bullack.....
